Was initially happy with the phone until it came to connect it up and register the handset to the existing (Panasonic) base unit. It wouldn't work with the other two handsets. I checked it by trying to connect to another cordless system in different premises. Same thing ... the phone wouldn't work with the others..... (in the case of the second attempt the system comprised a couple of BT DECT cordless phones and one Panasonic DECT phone and it was the Panasonic phone that refused to work in conjunction with this new one ... strangely the BT phones worked). The upshot is - I rang the Panasonic helpline and they said this model is not GAP compatible and therefore won't pair with other models. They were certainly right.Amazon dealt with the issue straight away when I rang (thank you, Amazon!!!) and I've ordered a different model from Amazon - one which Panasonic say WILL work with others.FIVE STARS are due to Amazon for their customer service - but I gave FOUR STARS ... I knocked a star off because the product description should say that this isn't a GAP compatible phone.

If you want phone to reach the whole house, presumably a bit large, which is also not expensive - this is the right choice. Also if you don't like fancy phones. If you do - go for a better option. This one doesn't have answering machine and other potentially desired features for phone lovers.Myself I'm rather smart phone lover - so I'm very good with this version !In other words - if you want a compensation for mobile (smart phone or other mobile phone) - this is the best. If you're more old style and the primary phone is this type of phone - you can think of a bit richer feature-full phone. This is very good though and stable and does the job. Battery seems to hold at least for a week on stand-by.On talk mode - as this is not my primary didn't test in prolonged talks to tell.Read full review...

I have had Panasonic phones before and needed to replace mine. I was a bit concerned over a couple of reviews mentioning the ringer volume but others said no problem and it is absolutely fine. I am a 60 year old woman and had no trouble setting the handsets up myself. I have yet to look at programming numbers in but, like most people, I don't use the landline phones as I use my mobile. However, as my current landline deals includes free calls and the phones needed replacing it seemed a good time.

I bought these as the battery in my old phone had given up the ghost. It was also a Panasonic and I had it for many years. I decided to go for one with extra handsets as I am not as fast as I used to be and often missed calls if I was upstairs and the phone was downstairs.I also have a shed near the house and still get a great signal in there so the 3rd handset is useful to take out there if pottering about. Great phones for the price and very reliable, easy to set up and have a great range.

I needed something simple and straightforward to replace a set of BT wireless phones which I had owned for more than 10 years. These Panasonic phones seemed very similar in design and features. On the face of it, good value. The phones were very simple to set up and get working. Sound quality is acceptable and the wireless range is good, even way down the garden. My only criticism is these phones do not have a handsfree or speaker option, something my BT phones used to have.

Bought to replace similar phones which were 10 years old and used regularly every day. It took a while setting up the phone book as I had to enter the details on each phone individually. The older phones only needed to do this on the master phone and it saved the details onto the other 2 phones automatically. Screen is a lot smaller than the previous phones making it difficult for a person with eyesight problems difficult to use. Apart from that they are quite easy to use.

Good looking phone. I brought it to replace my binotone set. I found it hard to find a phone that did all the same things as my old ones but this was the closest I could find. Functions are long winded, you have to press OK way to many times and go through multiple menus to find what you want. Phone book doesn't short cut at all so you have to scroll through the whole list every time. No hands free speaker phone which was a must for me but too late to return now.

This was replacing a previously owned Panasonic phone set. Never thought to check the features in detail. Hence disappointed it does not have "loud speaker" feature, and does not enable the caller to leave a message. So I had to consider using my provider's system (declined on the cost basis). BUT was happy that it has the feature to enable caller ID (Free from my provider).Because it is very similar to the previous set, it has been easy to set up and use.

The last 'cheap simple' phone we tried to get was a BT one, which turned out immensely over-complicated for what we need, to the point we could really work it properly and it randomly did things we didn't want. All of that stuff we all do on our mobiles. This is much better - it rings, you answer it. You can make calls. If you want there are some higher features, but not forced on you. Highly recommended if you just want a simple house phone

For what I paid they are just fine. I had hoped that putting the phone numbers and names of my contacts in one of the three handsets would carry them over to the other two, but found that doesn't happen with this set. The ring tones are a bit limited, and I was surprised that they are just one long continuous ring, instead of the usual ring, break, ring. But they work fine and the sound is OK. For the price I think they are as good as one can expect.

The phones ring out about 10-12 times until they go to message. They are easily installed. The sound can be turned up to be loud, but if you have hearing damage from endless rock n roll that will be the best you will get from the whole telephone industry. Installation and getting the handsets to ring the first time can be a bit of an arduous undertaking. make sure the cradle and phone handset are in the right ones if you fail first time round.

Bought this to replace twin Panasonic phones that died after 10+ years. Did not want answerphone or nuisance call blocker so this seemed the only option on Amazon. Not as good as previous phone, smaller screen, does not hold as many numbers and rotten selection of ring tones, but it will have to do. However, next time will probably have to spend more to get what we want & have an answerphone of call blocker that we don't want!

No nonsense “budget” DECT phone. Decent quality for the price and enough features to keep the casual home user happy. Ring tones seem plenty loud enough but not harsh or jarring. Can’t really vouch for talktime and battery as I don’t use it for long enough BUT batteries are user replaceable. Small footprint and unobtrusive. All in all a decent little phone. Delivery was very quick - 2 days ahead of schedule.

Simple compact design and decent features on these phones.Sound quality on calls is fine but all the ring tones are on the shrill end of things (higher pitch than the previous versions which these were bought to replace). The functions menu / display is perhaps a little dated as this is still identical to the old version. That said, they do exactly what they say they will without breaking the bank.

I bought these for my mum (88 years old) who enjoys gardening and can't rush indoors to the phone. She previously had a corded phone and is finding the cordless freedom just what she needs. Reception is good right down to the bottom of a long garden and the twin handset means she can have one next to her bed too. The buttons are not too small and the display is large and clear. A winner with my mum!
