Having moved to an old cottage with a 1970's BT master socket the phoneline was quite crackly. We were not sure if our old phone was contributing So we decided to buy a new phone and as like most people we don't use our home phone that often we didn't want to break the bank. Having read the reviews we plumped for these Panasonic's and were glad we did. Set up was very easy, charge it up for a few hours then plug it into the phone socket. The menus on the phone are all very straightforward and it was easy to navigate to change the ringtone and volume settings. ( I didn't even need the instruction book! )The ringtones are nothing very original but loud enough to hear in another room with normal house noise but not so loud that you jump out your skin if you're sitting quietly reading a book. The phones also seem to improve the quality of the line and our calls are crackle free, which is especially important when listening to many companies hold music !! The numbers are bigger than other phones I have had which comes in handy when your eyes are nearing 40, the screen is very clear and displays the date and time. It does have a phone book if you want to store numbers if that's your thing, if you have the feature it will display the callers number but I refuse to pay BT any more then I only have to. It works well on hands-free which comes in handy whilst listening to hold music as you may want to make a cup of tea or knit a jumper!! I know there are lots of similar phones around at a similar price but this has all the features that I believe most would want from a home phone at a good price, therefore I recommend.

I got these to replace an older Panasonic Twin Set phone with answer machine. The handsets look almost the same, apart from a more rounded feel and look. The screen is now bright white background (similar to a Nokia 6310i) instead of orange like the last ones. This is clearer and easier on the eyes. The buttons are still orange. It would have beet better if the buttons were the same white light rather than orange, but nothings perfect. The batteries that are supplied are 500 mah which is rather low, the last ones had 800 mah batteries. You will need to charge the phones first, so you can't just plug them in and use straight away, a little charge of 20 minutes is needed (well it was with my set).Set up is easy, adjust the time and date and you are away. I could not get my old and new hone to connect together to copy the numbers, so had to input them all manually, luckily this did not take too long. The great thing was as I did all one phone, I was looking for the option to copy them all to the other handset and they were already in there - they must have copied themselves over as I entered them.Call quality was just as good as my older phones, if not slightly better. Easy to navigate menu which has kept the main headings to 6, easy to use. Great phones.Again, the only downside is the orange keys with a bright white display - poor idea. Keep them all white!I may regret not having the answering machine built in, but can have voice mail activated by the telecoms provider for free if needed, so not a deal breaker.

Apart from one thing below it was very easy to set up with the added bonus that the phone numbers you enter just appear on the second handset which before on earlier models were transferred wirelessly to the second handset through a menu.I also like the selection of ringtones so I can set it differently to the one you always hear on the television and you are not sure if it is yours. The volume of the ringtone is also adjustable.I dont know how many ringtones there are as the list goes on for ever.I would have preferred a wall mounted cradle but it does seem to be stable emough.Only thing I dont like is the glossy black upper half (like almost everything at the moment)which soon gets covered in fingerprints.Initial setup was a bit confusing as I was looking for the grid like settings button in the guide on the phone but this is actually an onscreen icon that is only visible when the handset is removed from the cradle and disappears in the cradle. The set up guide is telling you to charge it first and the handset is telling you do the setup first. Once i found this out is was easy.I like the push button "find the misplaced handset" feature. I could do with that on my TV remote. There are less buttons to cause confusion than my previous Panasonic so a pleasure to use.

I had a pair of BT cordless phones which I took back because the signal kept cutting out and people were complaining about the quality of the sound. My friend recommended me these Panasonic phones instead so I decided to give them a try. So far I am very happy with this. The sound/speech quality performs well and I have had no comments or complaints about quality of the calls. I like the appearance and the design of the machines and the price point was good too.My one niggle is that you cant stand the phones upright - the base is slightly curved shaped to fit nicely into the charging base but it means that it is not possible to stand the phone on a table top say in the upright right position.Maybe I shouldn't be wanting to do that since it could easily topple over and perhaps become damaged - but my natural inclination is to want to stand the phone upright and I cant do that.If the designers should read this perhaps they will include it in a future iteration of the product.Apart from that minor niggle I would happy to recommend this product.NB. this is the version that doesn't have an answer machine included.

Firstly, be aware that this unit does not have an answering machine built in. I say that because other, similar, Panasonic phones do. (Where do they get these absurd model numbers from?). Also, although you can 'bar' some calls to this phone, you can only do this if you know the number; if, like me, many of your nuisance calls show up as 'International' or 'Out of Area' on Caller ID then you won't be able to bar them. The phone is easy to set up. There is a pretty good instruction leaflet. The handsets need charging, then you need to input your phonebook numbers and names. I found no problem in using the handsets any distance from the base unit in a two-bedroomed terrace house, and just outside on the patio.I found the sound quality quite acceptable although I actually preferred the sound on speakerphone, maybe just because it's a bit louder. I had absolutely no problems with battery life but I am a man and my calls tend to be on the short side.I like the overall appearance of this phone set, but that is a personal thing.I would certainly recommend this if it has the features you want.

After much umming and arhing settled on these to replace an old set of panasonics that had started to malfunction...arrived on time and were a doddle to set up...they are similar to our old pair of phones but have a helpful function of communicating with each other when editing the address book ...any entry or edit on one automatically enters the other...a little behind mobile phones but welcome otherwise...all the functions are clear and work fine..all the keys illuminate, the speaker facility is plenty loud...the only drawback is they do not have a flat bottom and so don't stand up on our kitchen table where one lives most of the time...but what the heck,a minor factor..and they were very reasonably priced..

Very easy to set up and using is fairly straightforward and intuitive. The sound, both on the phone and ringer is clear and the volume can be adjusted easily. They are not the most stylish phones on the market but actually their size (they are fairly tall) makes the controls on them clear and easy to use and the units themselves are slim so they don't feel heavy in your hand and they look quite smart as well. I haven't used the nuisance call block feature as yet but based on everything else I am sure that it will be straightforward to do so, and it's certainly a useful feature.Overall a good product which does the job it's intended for well at a reasonable price.

Phones have a good tone and calls are clear for both parties. There are numerous functions that are easy to set. I do have a big criticism though namely that unless the phone is ringing the display panel is dark and anything on it impossible to read. This includes the date and time and symbols regarding functions and calls - what's the point of having a display if you can only read it when a call comes in! As you will see from the listing picture the phones are shown with bright lit up screens, misleading. I wouldn't have bought these phones if I'd realised.

Okay, it's taken me so long to give this review because having had Panasonic phones before, we were almost tempted to return these because they didn't seem very loud. Also a telephone engineer had written a review to say that the sound had been reduced and we wanted to see whether we could hear the phone. Long story short, my husband found the perfect ring tone and honestly if my husband who has tinnitus and currently blocked up ears can hear this, I'm not sure how much louder one would like it. We are very happy with our purchase.

This set features two decent handsets with a comfortable quality feel. Whilst the display is not coloured the relevant information is extremely clearly defined. Pressing any key illuminates not only the keyboard but also the display - a nice touch.I suffer partial hearing loss, not enough to warrant a hearing aid but sufficient to impair incoming speech on other phones; the quality on this Panasonic set is excellent with no 'muffling' that I have previously experienced.I haven't been able to test the 'Key Finder' accessory

These replaced another brand which had all sorts of issues. Trying to find a duo without answerphones is quite a challenge. These have done everything I am use to, & have worked well without any issues. Clear sound with option on the volume. Numbers transfer to each other automatically, as do choices on the menu. Good choice of ring tones. Nice weight, and have had no problem getting the handsets to sit securely in their holders. Easy, straight forward set up. Good quality. Overall I'm happy with this duo.

I needed a robust, reliable and easy to use cordless that didn't have an answerphone. This one just works. Although there are a number of useful features that we will get round to using, the USP of this phone is the clear sound quality, great reception ( some handsets used previously have had issues connecting to the base station) and pure simplicity.I would recommend this phone to anybody. One thing that would be useful for the next version is perhaps a louder ring on the handset?

Very nice DECT Phone. Easy to set up and didn't even look at the instructions. Good clear voice as it comes, without changing the settings. Weighty enough to lay firmly in the hand. Not sure if some of the reports are for the right phone. One said there was no Speakerphone, there is, it's the 'Speakerphone' button at the bottom left. One said there was no 24 hour setting, there is, cycle the Time Settings and it goes through AM, PM, Blank (24 Hr).Very pleased.

The phones look & feel great - not too heavy but they feel sturdy and well made. Both handsets and bases have a very positive connection and battery life is fantastic. The sound quality is also excellent. I've had different BT models in the past and the line quality was always crackly and very quiet. These, on the other hand, produce a brilliant level of sound quality and the noise filter works a treat.Very happy and would certainly recommend.

These phones are easy to use and have a clear display. There are a range of ring tones to choose from so you should be able to find one that can be heard (or not depending on your preference). The sound quality is good. There is a loud-speak button. The saved numbers are relatively easy to enter and access to dial.I am quite pleased with this purchase.I bought the phones on 31st Jan. I will come back and update if I find any problems develop.
