I spent ages analysing all the dozens of phones available under this brand, and others, and eventually plumped for this one. I was pretty overwhelmed with all the different features per model by then. I'm very pleased with my choice so won't ramble on about the good bits which others have already covered. There are 2 negatives with this model for me; numbers/names entered on one handset don't transfer to the other handset, and your recorded message is not heard on the base station when someone calls. This means if you are screening calls, you have to remember to wait in silence after the phone had stopped ringing for them to start leaving a message, which you can hear, (before you wander off)before deciding whether to answer. It also means you have to let it ring the minimum 10 seconds to ensure you hear it ring in the first place as if you send it to answer phone immediately you can easily not hear it ring and not listen out for who's calling. I feel that these are basic functions nowadays and Gigaset could afford to reduce the number of models and confusion to ensure people get the basic functions they want ahead of the gimmicky ones which most of us don't want. I called the helpline to make sure I was understanding the features correctly, which went through to the German call centre, and I must say their service was excellent. I will be keeping the phones, even though I'm a bit miffed, as I should get used to these functions and all other aspects are excellent.

After years of tolerating clunky, poorly-featured cordless phones (I was on the point of abandoning my land line altogether in favour of using my mobile exclusively) I came across this Gigaset product, and I've been delighted with it. I don't usually leave the handsets on their charging cradles (I prefer to have them nearer to hand) and previous phone had only two or three days of standby battery charge, but the Gigaset will last around a week on a full charge. I did however get caught out the other day, having left the handsets off their cradles just a little too long and found both with flat batteries! My fault though, not theirs. The menu system and features are very easy to use,as is the internal phone book, which can store longer names rather than so many models limiting them to 8 characters (it can accept up to 16-character forenames and surnames), and store up to three numbers per entry. I also like the way the phone book can be synchronised between handsets. The sound quality is excellent too. Useful to have a little red light that indicates the presence of messages or unanswered calls. The internal answering machine feature means I can abandon my BT Call Minder service (for which I've been paying £5 a month). Overall I'm very happy with this product.

Good phones. I particularly like the ability to link one handset to multiple bases. That flexibility would be even more helpful if one handset could dynamically answer a call made to any base; it is not realistic to switch handset base registration to answer an incoming call as the switchover process is too cumbersome and takes too longThe user interface is outdated and cumbersome, so routine phone operations such as call and caller management are not as intuitive as they should be. It is not possible to put the handset into the charging base with the headset plugged-in. This means that every time you answer a call you have to find the headset, untangle the cable, put on the headset and plug the cable into the handset.By this time the caller has assumed a failed call. The alternative is to leave the handset off the charger base throughout the day. What would be even better would be to have the option of a Bluetooth headset instead. Meanwhile physically designing the plastic body so that the charging base fouls the headset cable is shoddy design

I was sceptical about cordless phones but this set is superb - ticks all my boxes. Range is impressive; the intercom system (phone-to-phone) is ideal for comms between house and garage, about 30 metres apart, and I can take/make calls from most areas of a half-acre garden. You can transfer calls from unit to unit; and the directory holds 200 entries which can be transferred individually or en bloc from any unit to any other.Patient reading of the extensive user manual pays dividends. Seems overwhelming at first but all the facts are there - in pleasingly good English. There's a UK-based helpline with a proper phone number but I have had no need to use it.Minor criticisms.Sound quality is a tad less than with a conventional wired phone. Self-recorded answer announcement is a little indistinct. Units are a little wobbly in their bases. All tolerable though, and I would recommend without hesitation.Read full review...

Seems really good so far. I marked it down a star because the ringtones are awful - I can only find one i wanted to use. You'd think they include just an ordinary bell as a fallback at least. And although it offers screensaver pictures, there are only 3, they are all similar (fish peeking out of coral) but not very good at all. Whoever was in charge of choosing those must have had better things to do that day.functionally its great, though.Another minor criticism is the battery level I indictator. I wanted to see how long a charge would last with phone off the charger and after the first couple of days the indicator went down to showing nearly empty. It's now day 4 and the battery level indictator still shows low and hasn't changed.Great that the charge has lasted this long but not helpful that it's been suggesting the charge is running out out when clearly it's not going to do so.

The Gigaset cC530A twin set oh phones are a great replacement if your looking to replace your existing landline phone. When the phones arrived I put them on charge straight away ( it says 8.5 hours in the instructions) and left them to charge before plugging the main unit into the phone line and set up as instructed. There are a few ringtones to choose from for the base as well as the handset and the sound when they ring is loud enough so you should have no problems hearing it ( set the volume at its loudest ). There is also an alarm function but I haven't tried that yet and also has an answer machine but I haven't set that up as yet. These phones also look great so if you looking for a new twin set of phones to replace your existing ones look no further than the Gigaset C530A twin answer machine eco cordless phones. BTW as a bonus you get 2 handy belt clips

Item arrived well before the estimated delivery date and so far, we are very pleased. Thankfully, we have been able to use the telephone cable we used for the previous one, since English and Spanish connections are different. The product has been relatively easy to programme and we have been able to record our own answer-machine message. We are impressed that number/name recognition is working for calls from the UK, something our previous 'phone couldn't do. The sound quality is good, screen script is clear and recognition of call duration is accurate. We would have preferred more basic ring tones, rather than mobile 'phone type melodies, but we are obviously a little old-fashioned. So far,we have nothing to complain about, but we will certainly update our review, if we do!

I was a little bit dubious about buying these as I'd never heard of Gigaset, but all those glowing reviews made me choose these rather than a Panasonic or BT phones. These phones are simply superb, in that they're really easy and intuitive to use, almost no setup required apart from putting in the supplied batteries and setting the date+time. The handsets come pre-tethered to the base units unlike other cordless phones I've had in the past, which saves time when setting them up.The sound quality is absolutely first class, crystal clear even on speakerphone. Battery life is great - several days between charges - nice clear display... lots of ring tones and notification sounds to choose from.I can't rate these phones highly enough.Wish I'd bought them sooner!

Would just like to say "thank you" to all those people that answered my query a little while ago regarding the button illuminations (red & green ones!).I previously had an expensive BT set, which were driving me mad. Yes, the keypad illuminated, but the red and green buttons did not, so in a dark room it was impossible to see which button you were pressing.Based on the responses to my question, I went ahead and purchased this Gigaset trio, and am a very happy camper. All buttons illuminate, which is what I wanted, sound quality seems to be good, and they were a doddle to set up. Much, much more user friendly than the BT set, and like I say, happy boy. Thanks again folks!

Although the phone is very nice, the sound is excellent, but to use it isn't so easy. My old BT phone had sync, I put the numbers in once and all the sets had been copied and any change were made instantly on all the sets. The Gigaset is a phone for techies, the BT phone had an easy to follow menu, this one, I have to read through a whole book of instructions, the lettering on the phone is also very small. I regret having bought this phone but I thought if I buy an expensive phone that it would be better then my old one, not so. The letters on the number pad are tiny, hard to see when entering new names. I don't find it user friendly.

Use these every day for business calls. Must ensure the volume settings are turned up to full & "saved" & double checked. Then audio will be as good as you are likely to find on the market & limited only by the phone on the other end of the line.Fairly user friendly . Excellent quality appearance & feel.I have had plenty of various makes of cordless phones over the years and these are probably the best.My Top Tip: In case of a power cut, always have an old type corded phone on standby, as they don't require electric to operate, whereas cordless phones do.

Very good handset which I purchased to replace an old Panasonic set that was beginning to have problems. Volume seems OK and rings are varied and contain normal ones!I like the intercom function that enables you to talk within the house.Answerphone base unit is quite compact. The power cord plug that is used for the base units is a bit odd. Its not a normal 3.5 mm type but what I assume is proprietary "shovel" shaped system that is about an inch wide. Be warned if you were needing to run the cable through a hole in shelf or similar.

I always have Gigaset phones my last set I’d had for years, replaced batteries etc but finally decided it was time for new ones.I purchased the trio set. They are very easy to set up just plug in and leave to charge (overnight)I’m not sure they are quite as comfy to hold as the previous ones but they seem to work well and I’m sure I will get use to a slightly different feel. The ansafone works well and messages are clear.I have a lifeline fitted to mine plus a call blocker and everything runs smoothly together.

Very easy to use - set up is pretty intuitive. We have multiple handsets so liked the function of the analogue looking clock and also the ability to turn the back light off on the bedroom handset - no glow in the dark. The only slight criticism is that when storing a telephone number it only stores on the handset you enter it on rather than replicating on all 3 automatically. Would have liked a traditional ring tone sound as well. Overall very happy with product - would recommend

Bought these as a replacement to older cordless phones. Went thru Which? for a best buy. These are easy to install and set-up. Simple to input numbers to store in the directory. The sound is decent quality, with good battery life (the phone bleeps when the battery is low). The build quality is OK. The screen is clear and bright; not as good as a mobile phone, which is to be expected, but easy to use. Clear layout for any of the functions to be used. All-in-all a good buy.
