This review is not sponsored by Panasonic or anyone else. I’m just a very keen user of this product and wanted to share my experiences. These are my personal views based on my experience of finding the ultimate landline phone to stop spam callers. I’ve tried to be as broad minded as possible. I really hope you find it useful and please remember to click on the Helpful button. Many thanks. This is the new 2015/16 top of the range product in its class from Panasonic. It's a little costly but I felt it was justified as I wanted something that was absolutely state of the art that will last many years.- You need to have caller ID in order to make use of the call blocking facility.Speak to your telephone company to activate this service on your line - sometimes this service is free of charge.- You don’t need to subscribe, pay or request the call blocking facility on your line as it’s ready to use as soon as you use this set.- I particularly like the talking caller ID display feature that speaks the users name this is a very useful function that also provides some light amusement. The ringer will pause intermittently while the phone speaks “Call from David for example”. It repeats the sequence until you pick up the handset or the call is transferred to the answer machine. This particular feature can be turned on or off.- I like the colour screen it is very clear. You have the option of having no screen showing when unit is charging useful for the bedroom.- There are plenty of ringtones to choose from although they are a little Old-fashioned. I found the traditional ring is more than adequate. - The general phone is fairly easy to set up and user-friendly, nice light and comfortable handset.- Phone directory is very easy to set up and access. You input the details just once and it will automatically list the info on every handset. Handy if you have several handsets. Each individual is categorised so you can give priority to VIPS i.e. Family members who will automatically bypass the DO NOT DISTURB facility.- Battery audible warning is very loud and will interrupt call to let you know you need to recharge the handset! You have time to finish your call or lift another handset. Useful.- You do get a helpful information booklet and also a free phone number in case of difficulty.- My only gripe is lack of instructions for setting up the Do Not Disturb feature. The idea is that you program certain favourite numbers for example family members who may wish to bypass the do not disturb facility.- Make sure you set ALL the phones to the Do Not Disturb feature at the same time, with the SAME do not disturb times.- You can then categorise certain selected numbers who you may want to reach you in an emergency.- It's great now it works perfectly!- Anticipating a specific call from a Witheld number (ie hospital, Doctors’ surgery etc) isn’t an issue, simply temporarily turn off DO NOT DISTURB mode from a single handset. When the call is complete, simply reactivate DO NOT DISTURB on that particular handset. I’ve found this highly useful for important calls.- You can also add additional IDENTICAL handsets and can have up to a total of six all working from the main base unit. Phone directories will be automatically added to your new handsets once they have been registered to your original base.(I bought the quad set and recently added on the duo set. Must admit to phoning Panasonic UK who quickly took me through the steps of de-registering the x2 new handsets and re-registering these to the original base. 2nd base is now acting solely as a charger with the answer facility turned off. You only need to plug in the 3 pin plug to the 2nd base as you don’t require the telephone cable).Remember to copy in the SAME do not disturb times and ringtones on your additional handsets.Sound quality and operation of handsets are not affected at all by having add ons.I’m thrilled to bits with the new extended set up!- Call Blocker - Easy to use. Tested and works by cutting off blocked number so quickly that they don't hear a single ring the line simply goes dead. Handset lists in your blocked calls with a symbol to show number was blocked and a time and date stamp.Blocks individual numbers, withheld number and also groups of numbers. For example you can block certain area codes if you find that you get many calls from a certain town or city. Useful. I also use a CPR call blocker (Amazon) for ultimate protection - which I believe is far better than the handset capability alone on the Panasonic blocking ALL international numbers, spoof calls, robo calls etc. (Costs vary depending on CPR model but bass models typically start at £40-£50 one unit needed per household which plugs into main bass unit and covers all your extension handsets, quick and easy to attach to main unit and no running costs or fees).(The Panasonic has limited call blocker capabilities and won't block unavailable, international, spoof, calls).I'd give this Panasonic phone 97% + for value for money. I'm delighted!***********************************************************************************- Recommended manufacture Improvements needed:-Do Not Disturb set up instructions- Improving Call Blocking facility capability - to pre include International and unavailable, spoof, robo numbers, single digit numbers. Also improvements needed to not only block groups of numbers ie particular area code EXCEPT those who are in your directory who you want to get through who share the same area code. (Currently blocks area codes but will block friends and family who share same area code).- Speed dialling of frequently used stored numbers using a single button not responsiveIn conclusion this is a top of the range stylish and modern phone and would certainly recommend it for anyone looking for a phone that has everything you'd need for a landline.********IMPORTANT UPDATE: 3/9/16. ******** Just wanted to brief you with an AMAZING trick that this phone is capable of! Ok so we now all know about call blocker, block the number and the call centres won't reach you ever again using THAT number. But time and time again they will simply call you using a different number, spoof number, made up code, copycat area code etc to fool you into thinking its local and not some call centre abroad? Are you STILL plagued with calls? Jumping each time the phone rings? Getting disturbed during that important tv programme, football match, film or during mealtimes etc? Well I have found that if you simply put your “Do not disturb mode” on 24/7 then ONLY calls from your directory will get through. Anything else will ring silently and will be put through to answer machine (you won't hear them speak either until you playback the message at your convenience) so withheld numbers and numbers not in your phones' directory who are genuine can still leave you a message.- I advise that you start do not disturb mode at 0100 and end at 0059 (or any configuration of your choosing that lasts 23 hours and 59 minutes) then you are covered 24/7. As before, you will need to set ALL handsets to DO NOT DISTURB with the same times. Tip is to do x2 handsets simultaneously if you bought the quad or duo pack.Go to “Do Not Disturb” and “Select Catagory” choose the same catagory that you have already put your friends and family in and this will allow their calls to bypass the Do Not Disturb facility.- This is WONDERFUL for people like me who live alone who worry about cold callers. Do this and you will ONLY ever hear the phone ringing to genuine callers in your directory! At LONG LAST I now have total control over my phone and it is real empowerment after all, I pay the phone bill. So it's a case of heads you win, tails you win!***If you have any direct questions please leave these in the comments section below, where I have also provided a few common questions and answers and practical tips that may be of further interest especially if you have anxieties or concerns about the tricks fraudsters use to talk you into a scam. Also if you want to eradicate spam callers on your iPhone I’ve included some easy to follow instructions ( iPhone help) scroll down near the end of the comments section- Well worth a read! I managed to get these on a good deal so although I didn't really need 4 handsets I got those just to have some spares. These replaced a much older set of Panasonic phones that I needed to retire and so far they appear to be working well.I had deliberated between these and the BT 8600 for the nuisance call blocking but thankfully I don't have a severe problem like many out there and it may tip your choice if you do, however, these do the job well but don't have the extra features of screening that the BT phones do.I also wanted the alarm feature of the Panasonics which (on the old sets) allowed up to 3 alarms on each handset. These I believe have 5. Most other phones don't seem to have more than 1.My preference of course and perhaps not something most might consider when looking for such phones.I've noticed that although the phone quality is clear they are not as loud as my previous phones but they are just about adequate and speaker phone works well. Some things to note.PROS:1) Good looking design.2) Colour screen with changeable wallpaper3) Answer machine speaker and led indicator + ringer (previous one didn't have)4) Can turn off display when charging - good when you've got one in the bedroom5) Phone book entries entered in one handset are automatically visible in all other handsets. (This was a tedious manual process on the last phone)6) Categorisation of phone numbers. Allows searching by category - useful. Customisable category names7) Intercom allows auto answer (set on individual handsets) and conference calls8) Phone entries now allow multiple numbers for each person9) Allows naming of each handset for easy identification.10) Every menu item is accessible in a direct way. Entering a number but it's a mixed blessing - would you remember 100 different numbers?11) Remote control of phone allows you to phone in to get your messages12) Nice feature to compliment 11) is that you can give your answer machine a phone number to call when a message is left. Good feature to have for some.CONS:1) Somewhat lower sound volume2) Changeable wallpaper yes but not many choices and no custom option (shame)3) Ringtones as always are pretty disgusting. There are a lot to choose from but finding one that doesn't make you cringe is difficult. When will they allow downloadable ringtones, this is 2017 !!4) Checking missed calls identified in your phone book curiously doesn't show the other numbers you may have recorded when you request details. (strange - it just shows that person and the number that they rang from - seems pointless having 'details' option then.)5) Missed call list shows a separate entry fo same number - does not allow "Erasing All" - so would be tedious to clear call lists one by one.6) CPU is fairly slow when searching or scrolling down phone list. They definitely could have done better here either in choice of processor or better searching algorithms.7) There are a couple of menu items that are inaccessible via the normal menu tree. These are accessed by typing in a #number that you will probably never remember. Thankfully there are only about 4 and they are not things you will need on a daily basis.Call blocking:I can't comment too much on this as I haven't used it much.Currently you have 3 choices1) Block a single number (enter it manually or select it from the missed call list)2) Block a range of numbers3) Block withheld numbersI assume that 3) will also block international calls. Most people's problems with this choice is that 1. it doesn't discriminate between international and withheld and 2. when using this option you might well block valid withheld numbers eg. your doctor's surgery - mine at least withholds the number. In conclusion and from my lengthy research there IS no phone that is going to satisfy everyone's requirement / wish, I don't think it exists but if you want a phone with lots of features and blocks individual numbers when needed this is it. For nuisance calls it appears the main choices were this and the BT 8600 but frankly I find it hard to buy anything BT but that's just me.

Our old set of phones were Panasonic and we loved them. However, they were getting rather old and we also started receiving the dreaded nuisance phone calls and decided to choose these Panasonic phones with call blocker to solve the problem. First and foremost the call blocker works a treat. The phone has a lot of options that may overwhelm anyone who does not cope well with technology - things like "do not disturb mode" background wallpapers, screen colour options and 40 ring tones to choose from. However, when the handsets have been set-up to your requirements they work similar to most cordless landline phones. The "do not disturb" mode will allow you to programme an individual handset so it has a time when it will not ring out,for example I programmed our bedroom phone so it will not ring out loud after 11pm. You can programme the handset so it will allow certain numbers to bypass the "do not disturb" mode and allow the handset to ring out, which is handy if you know someone who may need you in an emergency. My favourite feature on these phones is the intercom feature which allows any of the handset to phone each other. The intercom mode is great for phoning from the kitchen phone to the phone in my teenage children's rooms to tell them dinner is ready rather than me having to shout up the stairs to no avail because they are wearing headphones. To be honest, the intercom mode is most useful for finding a handset that has been misplaced simply by ringing it. Using the intercom mode does not cost you any money as you are using the handset base to transmit the signal and not the landline. You can set up to 5 alarms/reminders on each handset which is handy. You can set the handsets and the base so that it speaks out loud the number of the person that is phoning you but only if you have caller ID. If the number and name of a person that is calling you is already stored on any of the handsets then you also have the option for the phone to speak the name of the person calling. When it speaks out the name of the person calling it does sound a little robotic but it does the job. I ordered the set with 4 handsets but it is possible to add another 2 handsets. Each handset takes 2 AAA rechargeable batteries which come supplied with the handsets. One more thing, to use the call blocker you must have caller ID with your landline provider. These are great phones and I am really glad I chose them. However, if you only need a call blocker and not a new set of phones you may wish to click on the link below. On this link you will find a call blocker that is extremely easy to use and is designed to work with your existing landline phone. One big red button to press and the call is blocked.

I tried 2 BT models before deciding on another Panasonic. I bought my previous Panasonic Quad several years ago when Call Blocking was still a new feature, I could block 30 numbers individually but not block International calls so needed to update . Apart from that I liked everything else about it. Having returned or given away the last 2 BT models I tried I have gone back to Panasonic. I've been using it about 6 weeks now and my phone has never been so quiet, I don't block Withheld numbers as hospitals, doctors etc usually use withheld numbers, but I let the answer machine pick those up before deciding if I want to answer, bona fide callers will identify themselves.Although this model doesn't block International calls automatically they can be blocked by blocking all calls beginning with the international code. I would have liked a larger font on the display caller ID but that may just be my problem as I am due to have cataracts removed., But anyway the Caller ID is also identified by a voiceover which means I don't even have to reach for the phone to know who is calling. Lots of call tones to choose from, easy to use menu for setting up, can even change the screen saver. I have used phones with clearer sound, but also used phones with much worse so it isn't a problem. My last Panasonic phones had the original batteries after several years, so have given 5 stars assuming these will last as long. I recommend this Panasonic Quad {and I am really a very fussy consumer).

We have these Panasonic KX-TGJ324EB phones installed in three houses within our family and really like them. Firstly, the sound quality is really clear and steady and you can customise the sound characteristics too. The range is long and there's no interference even when you move from room to room. Battery life is very good too and the handsets will last for several days off their chargers although, obviously, long calls will run them down more quickly.Despite being feature rich handsets configuration and changing settings are intuitive. You can customise the screens/ring tones etc. easily and the colour screen is surprisingly much easier to see than the black on orange monochrome versions.Phonebook entries are copied to all handsets. One feature which we didn't think too much about before purchase but have found very useful is the voice announcement of callers. This facility is particularly useful, if for example, you sit down to a meal and the phone rings, based on the voice announcement such as "Dave Smith calling" you can decide whether to answer or ring back later without getting up to look at the display. The nuisance blocking feature is handy and effective too.In terms of price, shop around as a couple times this year this pack has been on sale for just under a third less. Even at full price though this is a very good set of phones which should give years of service and have all the features most people need. Recommended.

Ŵe had an earlier version of this quad phone set, but the features on this have been improved to include nuisance call blocking which my earlier version did not support. I like Panasonic as it works flawlessly in all aspects. Sound quality is excellent and it’s menu system is intuitive and straightforward to use. I’m pleased this set also includes the speaking caller ID facility, which my previous set also included. The only thing Panasonic haven’t seemed to improve on is adding numbers to the phones directory, especially true when you have a large volume of numbers to transfer from your old phone set, it’s a cumbersome process at best. They, by now, should have developed a transfer process from the old phones directory to the new model, luckily it’s only a one-off process. I have mailed them before and suggested that adding an improved number entry system would be a strong inducement for customers to stick with the Panasonic brand, especially like me, if you have a large number to re-enter from the old Panasonic Quad set to the new one. That apart, I would fully recommend these phones.

I bought this set of Panasonic phones to replace an old set of 5 Panasonic phones which had been excellent. This new set has many really useful features, call blocking, audible caller information etc., and I’m very happy with them. What came as a surprise was the fact that the range was less good than with our previous set of Panasonic phones. We have a big Edwardian house with thick walls and fireplaces and the phone in our study is as far away from the main base unit as it can be and the line frequently dropped mid-call or the reception was so dreadful that you had to go out of that room and move to nearer the base unit. - not ideal. After struggling with this for for several months,I called Panasonic and they recommended a range extender (Panasonic KX-A405 Domestic DECT Repeater Extended) which I bought from Amazon and that has completely sorted the problem. Happy days.

After reading a lot of reviews we were wary about purchasing these phones. We needn't have worried as they were very easy to set up. All that was needed was to scroll through the menu and choose options and select, there wasn't any need to read any instructions, which was great. The phones are all synced automatically so that when numbers are inputted, they are available on all 4 phones. Some reviews mentioned the ringtone was not loud enough, but there are so many different ringtones to chose from that we chose the one that was most suitable for us.There are many options On these handsets that other phones don't have, e.g. changing the wallpaper (appearance) of the screen. You can even turn off the backlight which is great for the one situated in the bedroom. I would highly recommend these phones as they are excellent value.

Huge improvement over previous Panasonic handsets, they have finally caught up with mobile phone technology. Best feature is alternate ring and voice which tells you call from XXXX, great for my 94 year old father. This obviously only works where you have programmed in a name and number. When programming names and numbers into phone, you only programme one phone and rest are automatically updated. You can programme several numbers under one name now, and choose home, work, mobile etc., same as mobiles. Plenty of ring tone choices (30) screen has a colour background which you can change, but not many good choices, we stuck with the screen advertised above, the rest were pretty rubbish.Nuisance call blocking is very good. Overall we are absolutely delighted with our purchase.

These phones are as good as the reviews indicate. The battery takes a long time to run flat. The range covers a large area.Sound quality and volumes are very good.Maximum ring volume is very loud.Speakerphone gives a good volume as required. Each phone can be named, easier than numberswhen returning handsets to a selected location.I do not use the incoming voice call system but it works fine if required.Intercom is easy and covers a large area.Phone pad has an excellent backlight for use in darkened areas.Wallpaper is easy to change as required.Phone Directory is automatically transferred to other registered handsets. This item is well worth the extra cash.

Just recently installed the KX-TGJ324EB Quad Handset Cordless Home Phone to replace and older Panasonic set. These phones are very good, instalation and set up is easy, the sound quality is fine, volume levels OK and reproduction from the answer machine most acceptable. Sure scrolling through the phone book is a bit slow but not a problem really. I like the direct access to the intercom as we use this regularly and the ability to have callers names announced. The screen is easy to read and the phone is egonomically well thought out and intuitve to use.All in all the best DECT bundle I have used and whilst not the cheapest, at a good price nevertheless

13.2.2018

This was a no quibble replacement for an identical quartet with one dead handset. I tried to link a new handset with the previous base set to copy over the phone list but they are uniquely paired. The rest of the installation was straight forward, entering phone list, charging, batteries, naming handsets by their location. The programming keys are not intuitive but I had enough practice to get used to that. There are an incredible number of settings for different parameters but the manual is so small I had problems reading it with the magnifying glass and didn't bother with almost all of them. I am still looking for a manual on line which is readable

Okay so these are lovely phones.1. Small and light2. Comfortable3. Loud ringer4. Crystal clear with volume control for both internal speaker as well as loud speaker.5. A multitude of different sounds to choose from from classical to more upbeat tunes.6. Easy to add new numbers approx 250 spaces.7. (7) hours to full charge from flat.8. Vibrant colour screen which is always on.9. When someone calls it says the name of the person with the ringing sound (nice touch)A really nice set of phones, pictured sitting in its dock. I am a high end smart phone user and can safely say I'm loving these. See the picture :)

Once you’ve got them working they’re fine, not as intuitive as the old BT ones that finally hit the dust after 20 years. Men: you have to read the instructions. All the facilities are there, but putting a new caller number in your phone book is not obvious. Also cant find any record of calls made. The phone book is also not easy to navigate. Why cant there be a link to your mobile for loading numbers. Maybe this exists for more money. However does what it says on the tin. Turn off LCD when charging means your bedroom isnt lit up all night! 5 stars was quite generous, but at £85 for 4 phones plus intercom that’s fair.

19.1.2017

Very nice upgrade from previous Panasonic dect phones. The auto answer intercom is particularly useful. The sound quality is also very good. I bought these over the latest model because of the inclusion of a belt clip which I actually find really useful (yet it's not included on the latest Panasonic phones).I'm knocking one star off because the buttons don't feel as high quality as my previous Panasonic phones and also the address book is very slow to load. I think this is because it's syncing with the base unit rather than storing the phone numbers locally on the handset.
