Have always been very particular about my mash but eventually decided to give a potato "ricer" a go. Was rather concerned that the potato which went through the holes would still be a bit coarse but this is not the case. You can get enough potato for 2 people in the scoop at one go so no problem with repeatedly having to put more potatoes in.Because I can't stand lukewarm food I always pour some boiling water over the container end immediately prior to use as the unit is comprised of heavy gauge metal and can cool off the potatoes if it's been left in a cold cupboard or pantry.One other tip I would give; put it in water as soon as you've riced the potatoes as a thin film of potato will form a

This is the first potato ricer I have purchased and went for this one based on other reviews for this and other cheaper ricers. I decided I wanted a quality product from the start rather than waste money on smaller or inferior products and I have to say I have not been disappointed with this product,very well built and can take quite a few potatoes in one go,which saves on time and so means hotter potatoes on my plate. Make sure you heat your milk in a microwave if adding to mash to keep the potatoes hot. Cleaning is simple if attended to straight away,pop it in the sink in hot water while you eat your lovely mashed potatoes and you will have no problems cleaning.

Having been disappointed with an expensive ricer purchased in France a couple of years ago (it rusted and was difficult to clean), I thought would try again with this brand as I had received their Mouli as a Christmas present which I was very happy with. It was an excellent purchase. A lovely, robust and easy to use ricer with good long handle to obtain the extra leverage sometimes required to deal with the occasional part cooked piece of spud. Worth the extra money in my opinion.

very pleased with this product, lovely mash potato with very little effort. Have tried cheaper models in the past and its false economy. Always have been flimsy and not really fit for purpose. This potato press is the 'daddy'. Dissembles easily for cleaning and dishwasher friendly. Would definitely recommend.

The gefu ricer has a good substantial feel to it. Long arms make it easy to push the potato through. Large capacity speeds up the process so potato stays hot. Stainless steel so no rust. Very happy with my choice.

How good is this machine - makes great/outstanding potatocant go back to using a masher now!!Would hihghly recomend

A very sturdy robust vegetable smoosher. It smooshes my sweet potatoes with ease and with no waste. Worth every penny!

Makes lovely mashed potato, although struggles with more fibrous veg like swede. take apart to clean is easy.

Brilliant gadget. Heavy but very effective for producing finely mashed potatoes. Makes light work of it.
