I like you can rest it on side of dish when you squeeze food through.Some food does ooze round the sides, but ok?Plastic doesn’t seem top quality , but has 2yr gaurentee, and I have to say I’m getting on ok. I am washing in dishwasher. But you do need to rinse all food off and take ricer apart.I do use it frequently as I have swallowing disability. I use for potatoes, root vegetables and cauliflower and broccoli . All these go easily through providing they are cooked until soft.

Easy to assemble, disassemble and clean, and much more solid than the stainless steel model it replaced which crumpled on first use. Results are excellent, lovely lump free mash. If you're catering for more than two people you may find the mash needs reheating in the microwave by the time you've finished, but I'm sure that would apply to any model. The little arm which allows you to rest the ricer on a pan or bowl is useful. Recommended.

I bought this ricer as my old (metal) one was starting to rust. The old one had holes down the side as well as at the end so the potato went everywhere. This one is vastly superior, well-designed, well-made, robust and easy to use and clean. I have also found it's very good for squeezing water out of grated potatoes for Swiss Rosti potatoes, and it makes them a nice shape for frying - an added bonus. All in all a brilliant product.

The product does exactly what it is supposed to do - rices potatoes and it does a great job. This is the only way I will be making mashed potatoes in the future. My only complaint is that the ricer itself is a bit cumbersome and bulkier than need be (long large handles). That makes it a bit awkward to handle and difficult to find a suitable storage place if you are short on space to begin with.

Excellent buy, I have been looking for a potato ricer for some time but was wary of wasting my money on yet another hyped up gadget that didn't work as well as the adverts claimed. I am so happy with this product and no longer have lumpy mash! It is light yet robust, and so easy to use and clean. My family are so fed up of me extolling it's virtues! Will make useful Christmas presents!!!

I bought this to purée baby food. I found a food processor chopped rather than mashed. The 2 sizes of masher is great I'm currently using the smallest and it copes with most veg as long as there nice and soft. When she needs coaxed food I will progress onto the larger masher. It seems strong and washes up well either by hand or dishwasher. Long term it makes lovely mash potatoes.

As my wife has osteo-arthritis on er hands and wrists, I hoped that this product would make mashing of food, such as potatoes, much easier. She has used the ricer on various occasions, once making mashed potatoes for 24, and the ricer was very easy and quick to use and the potatoes were excellent. I would certainly recommend this product.A Binning

Having looked at many different makes we opted for the 'Deluxe Potato Ricer'. Ordered and promptly received, it proved to be very well made, easy to use and easy to clean - what more can you ask ? There is of course an answer - was it a worthwhile purchase - yes! With the addition of a little milk and butter it helps make superb mashed potato

Just used this after ordering yesterday. This ricer hold a good bit of potato and rices quite easily. I got it as I don't have stength to mash potatoes. This is easier than mashing potatoes and they come out smooth but you still need a certain amount of strength to do it. It is easy to clean and comes with two blades. I would buy again

Yes, this really does make Smashing Mash... So simple to use...easy to clean...safe, no sharp blades.I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves creamy mash ... Oh and the added support handle makes it much easier and sturdier to use than the stainless steel versions that dont have this feature.Go on...Treat yourself : )

We have bought this for a friend as she says that she can never get smooth, creamy mashed potatoes so she doesn't make it, we already have one of these and it's fab, easy to use especially with the clip that goes over the bowl to keep it in place while your putting the potatoes through, a must-have kitchen gadget.

This ricer is listed as deluxe and given the quality of it I agree with the description. The ricer is made of sturdy plastic with 2 metal grating pads. I never use the larger hole size as I find the small one is ideal for mashed potato. The ricer is very easy to use and is dishwasher safe so easy to clean.

Great item, it works a treat. It is pretty large which can only be a bonus i.e. you don't have to do the op loads of times to get a pan full of the softest lump free mash ever! Great price and don't be fooled by it being plastic, it is very sturdy and well made.

in trying to create the perfect mashed potato i decided to invest in a ricer and i was not disappointed. it is simplicity itself, two mesh graters and being a very strong plastic it is very comfortable to use, very easy to clean and a great price too.

Bought this for the wife at her request to try, have thought about one for years on & off and kept saying can't see it working, now my wife could not live without it, she recon's it's brill no lumps and very fluffy mash, a brill little gadget.
