A little on the heavy side, but I suppose that's a plus rather than a minus. It fits in well with other products in my kitchen (all black and stainless steel) and feels sturdy enough to put a good bit of oomph into mashing anything from potatoes to pumpkin.There could be a couple more interchangeable discs, as the size difference isn't really all that apparent, but that's not enough to take away a star.Very easy to keep clean, too.The only downside is it's slightly too tall to stand in my cutlery drawer, and there's no real way to hang it on a utensil rack, but your mileage may vary with this.

You'll never squash a potato through those little holes, thought I - how wrong I was! Surprisingly little effort (using a traditional potato masher is much more labour-intensive), one squeeze and out comes beautifully mashed potatoes to which you just add a bit of butter and milk. This is streets ahead of a standard masher. Forgive me, I am at a loss to know why it's called a ricer.

This potato ricer does the job. It is easy to use and is very good value. It has been used many times and comes up sparkling from the dish washer. I would have preferred that the ricer disk could be locked into position so that it does not stick to the plunger when pulling it out. I would reccomend this product as it produces excellent smooth mash.Mick B.

I am disabled and using this makes it so i can make mashed veg also, and i dont rely on my hubby to do it anymore, absolutely brilliant item and i would recommend it to anyone, especially if you have problems with using a normal masher. It is a potato masher but we have found as long as the veg/fruit is really soft you can mash anything!

Some young, newly married friends of ours saw me using our potato ricer and was very impressed, especially when they tasted the smooth creamy potato. So, we bought them one of these as an Easter present and they are absolutely delighted with it.It is so easy to use and the results speak for themselves - yummy no more lumps in my mash!

Yes, this is a very good potato ricer! Good value for money and I would say good for normal household use. Used twice since purchase to top fish pies with potato. Much easier than the old way of mashing and spreading with a fork. I expect many years of use from it and my sister has since bought the same!

To be honest it was better then I expected, it holds enough potatoe for one adult portion so in a family like mine it can take time filling it up and repeating the process... in effect it can delay things however the results are brilliant, super smooth smash with no complaints from the kids.

Easy to use (see below) great lump free mash every timeOnly problem is the circle disc sticks every time you push down to mash, you need to unstick the disc after every push to put it back in place.If there was something to hold the disc down this product would be an easy 6 out of 5

I used this last night and my family said it was the best mash I'd cooked!It was a bit fiddley to get the compressing plate in each time but other than that it was very easy to use. Would be great if you could wash it in the dishwasher but that's just me being lazy. Lol!

Ever since I saw "Ready steady cook "I have been trying to buy a potatoe ricer nowwhere sells them!!!I couldnt belive it when I saw the product and was under the impression it was very expensive it wasnt!!!!!!!What a great buy and very quick delivery as well !!!!!!!!!!!

This is a great "everyday" potato ricer. I use it to rice potatoes for my baby's food and it's great. It is easy to use and clean and MUCH better than the potato ricers that they sell specifically for baby food (the Annabel Karmel one is cute but not practical at all).

This is a good product. it does cream the mash potato nicely. The only thing I can say is a downfall is every time you push down on the ricer and open it to insert more potato you have to keep placing the blade back in and that makes it a bit of a messy job.

Superfast effecient delivery service! Excellent value for money,good sturdy construction makes beautifully smooth mash. Have converted my son from INSTANT MASHED POTATO.....URGGHHH to tasty wholesome freshly made mashed potato.....its a miracle worker!!!!

Love this product. I have looked fro one in the high street shops for ages but couldn't find one. Saves time and energy smashing those potatoes.One note of caution, don't overfill the bowl makes it hard work. Best just a few pieces at a time.

perfect mashed potato without lumps at long last. So easy to use and makes you look like a kitchen goddess. Actually it is so simple even my husband and 22 year old son can use it, so no excuses now. Brilliant and arrived really quickly.
