I was shocked by some of the reviews on this item, specially once it was delivered (in time from Germany) and I could press lots of lemons and limes with it, getting lots of juice from them.First, drinking fresh juice of this amazing fruits is so extremely healthy, you should not miss it. But then, some reviewers said:It's a bad item, because I cannot use it for large oranges. Pardon me, it is NOT an orange juicer - as the very name of this item says - but it is a lime and lemon juicer. So be happy if smaller oranges work, but please don't complain when larger oranges don't. Because it is a LIME and LEMON juicer. Got it? I find it very unfair against the supplier to post a bad review because an item does not do what it is not supposed to do...2.,some say you can break it. Well, sure, you can break anything. But how were you able to break this? Did you try so hard until it broke just so you could write a bad review? When you use it with even very slight common sense - not much, really needed - then you will NOT break this item, because it is very well build.Third - one review was specially hmmmh... strange, giving one star because the juice smells bitter. Well, if you buy a juicer that gets you up to 20% more juice and then you complain that some of that 20% is just a bit bitter and give it one star then, well, you do not like lemons or limes. Apparently for you everything needs to be sweet. So, on the whole, take this item if you like to get lots of vitamins and you want to get juice out of these fruits without efforts and clean it effortlessly and get the last drop out of them. Don't ever buy one of the electric ones and don't buy another one at all. Because I am a lemon/lime lover since being a little child and.. this is the BEST juicer in the world. Thanks Chef'n fot his well engineered product.Pros:- Well build- Does the job (lemons and limes squeezing) extremely well- Fast and effortless to use- Squeezes better than any other manual or electric squeezer I owned before- Makes me healthier - as another reviewer mentionned, he is buying lemons and limes now just because it is so nice to squeeze them, same thing happened to me. My consumption has doubled ;)Cons:none. seriously.

I use Lime and lemons on a daily basis and was primarily using a reamer but often juice would squirt anywhere but where it was directed and picking away at the pips took time not to mention the strain on my wrists.I decided it was time for a change and frankly would have never normally considered something in this price range until I noticed that several of the competitor models had very mixed reviews whereas this brand and model had glowing reviews in the states so I decided to pay the extra.Despite it being early days I have not been disappointed so far and can state that it is very well made sturdy piece of kit that from the feel of it should last a very long time.simply pop half a lemon/limeface down and push the top lever down and the device removes all the juice leaving only the skin behind and as yet I have had no problems having to pick pips out of the juice. The juice does not squirt everywhere either for example I like to drink lemon/lime water over ice and I can hold this device over the top of the glass itself and juice goes into the glass without squirting anywhere else, or hold over a salad bowl/pan on the stove when making salads/meals etc.Its easy on the wrists as well just hold the device in one hand and press the top down with the other.I am very satisfied with this product and hope it lasts me a very long time but if If any faults appear in due course I will update my review. The seller was also very quick in getting this item to me despite the super saver postage so that was an added bonus as well.I believe it would make a great gift for the cooks/foodies in your lives.

This might seem expensive compared to some of the so called ''professional'' Ricers out there but believe me this one blows all those out of the water! The build quality is superb and the ratchet system really does make light work of your potatoes...brilliant if you have week hands/wrists! It is also very easy to clean as the hopper just slides out of the nylon frame. Speaking of the nylon frame, this is much, much better than the Stainless handles you find on other ricers,it is warm to the touch and very comfortable in the hand. Some steel handles can have sharp edges and/or trap your hand/fingers!If you are concerned about the gears having moving parts that will eventually wear out then don't worry. The ''gears'' are actually a nylon ''cog'' moulded in to the main body of the tool and another ''cog'' is integrated in to the handle moulding and apart from the chromed side plates (which are very good quality and look classy) there are no moving parts to come loose or break/wear out!All in all a very high quality kitchen gadget that apart from being the most efficient ricer on the market is really made to last years and just oozes class!Go on treat yourself, you will not know how you ever managed without one!

Having owned a good quality, stainless steel, which finally broke after 10 years of heavy usage, I made the mistake of buying a new ricer from ARGOS. The same ricer is sold here at Amazon,http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kitchen-Craft-Chrome-Plated-Potato/dp/B0001IWUZO/ref=sr_1_4?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1357282.DO NOT make the same mistake that I did, this ricer that is linked is total rubbish, whereas the one that this review is for is great. The only reason I have not given it 5 stars is, I have my doubts about the durability of the actual Plunger head, (the part that pushes the spud through the stainless steel grid). But this ricer is brilliant in use otherwise. It does exactly what the linked ricer above, could NOT do. The Kitchen Craft thing has to have the spuds boiled so soft, in order to push them through the mesh that they are amost boiled through the water anyway. It is a weak, (it bends as you use it), useless thing, whereas the Chef'n Force ricer, with its geared handle, presses the spuds through with ease.

Took the risk on buying this, having not seen one before. It does an excellent job - squeezes out lemons, limes or oranges and leaves very little juice behind. You chop the fruit in half and place the half upside down in the half-sphere container i.e. the curved part of the fruit goes upwards, facing away from the yellow 'hole' in the presser. The juicing is far far more effective than using a conventional juicer or fork and requires much less force. The gear setup means it is very easy to press down without applying too much force. The 'bowl' is large enough to fit anything about the size of a small-medium orange, or smaller.Pros- Extremely effective juicer- Doesn't require that much force- Fits up to small-medium orange sized fruitCons- Slightly expensive, but definitely worth it

The apparently simple garlic crusher seeems surprisingly difficult to get right. For years now I’ve used zyliss (though not the hopeless plastic/stainless one). I wanted to try this one as chefn’ make a very good citrus squeezer and I hoped the design nouse would apply here.......and the answer is it’s pretty good. The rubber cogwheels have a rather rubbery and imprecise feel, but it crushes the garlic easily and as well as anything else I’ve used. The big plus is cleaning (usually a pain with any garlic press). If you completely open the handles of the chefn, the perforated base separates from the “hopper” (can’t think of a better word) completely exposing the garlic husk and making it very easy to remove.Unlike the zyliss it needs peeled cloves, it all in all a good do product.

I have never used another ricer before so I am writing this review in comparison to the many manual potatoe maskers I have used. This ricer by far gives the best results and mashes the potatoes perfectly with not lumps in sight.I don't think there is much difference in the time required to mash but the ricer is much easier to use (Force wise) and the results are what count at the end.One slight draw back is you need to be carefully not to leave the potatoes go cold. The rice produses fine strands of potatoes that will cool quickly if left like this.I find just pushin them down with a spoon to compress about allows the heat to be retained better.Would recommend to anyone looking for the perfectmash spud (Or as close as I have come to it)

Works really well. The long handles give good leverage, so very little effort required to push your boiled potatoes through the ricer. I read another review that said it takes too long to produce a decent quantity of riced potato because the ricer bowl only takes a small amount at a time, but I don't find that at all. Of course you can't rice a family-sized portion of potato all in one go, but it takes me perhaps two minutes to refill it a few times for my family of four - no longer than it would take to mash conventionally, but a whole lot smoother! The build quality is good too - It seems pretty strong, so I think it will last. The last (cheaper) ricer I bought bent out of shape the first time I used it.Glad I spent a bit more for this one.

I have a husband who adores mash potato, and I can't stand the drag of making them after a day at work. Don't bother peeling your potatoes there's no need as the ceramic base can do this, just chop, boil and squeeze! I have small hands and I can manipulate this ricer. This may not be the cheapest but I'm glad I spent the money I did, even I can manage a one handed potato squeeze!!! Not sure if it's the ceramic bit or the 'gears' but it really works. The mash you get is fabulous. I then just peel off the left over skin off the base bit and save it to crisp up in the oven with a splash of olive oil!

I came on Amazon intending to buy the OXO Good Grips Ricer, but after reading the reviews, decided on this one. I'm glad I did. It does an ideal job. Lovely smooth mash very easily. The ricer is quite large (incase storage is an issue), but it is well made and should last a long time. I've also used it for carrot and turnip too, but you do need to make sure they are cooked until quite soft. It is a pricey item compared to a normal masher, but worth it, I think. My mum loves mash but has arthritis and usually gets my dad to do the mashing... I think I'll be buying one for her too!

Great for the two of us now that the kids have mostly left home, as the capacity is just one potato at a time. Takes up quite a lot of cupboard space, but does produce lovely light & fluffy smooth mash thus earning it's place. Using it over Christmas when family descended are when it's limitations became evident...takes lots of time and mess to produce a large volume of mash in such a small capacity head. Long handles and geared compression make easy work of swede etc so can probably still be used by those with less strength. Built to last, quality product.

My Wife has a real problem with her right shoulder and mashing potatoes, whilst I am not around, is a real problem for her. We have seen ricers being used on Saturday Kitchen on BBC and thought that is our answer. Read thro the reviews on a number of ricers available thro Amazon, and decided that this was the best option. It arrived bang on time, which is our experiance on Amazon stocked stocked product, and it looks really great. Have yet to use it but it is a heavy construction and is designed to last.

After reading many reviews on squeezers I decided to splash out. I’m not disappointed this juicer has a good lever action which makes operation much easier for those of us getting on in years. It’s body is made from a high quality hard dishwasher proof plastic with a metal chrome plated squeezer all well made and put together. Great for use with both lemons and limes, ok with small oranges but you need to cut up larger ones. Very handy for cooking when you need that squeeze of lemon.Worth the money

I can't write highly enough of this product. I have toyed with the idea of buying a potato ricer for years; afterall, so many chefs rave about how fluffy and smooth mashed potato is when the a potato ricer has been used. I have not been disappointed. The tool is well made and looks good. Cleaning is easy. The metal disc through which the potato is forced is removable and can go into the dishwasher. The whole tool can go into the dishwasher but I find that if you separate the parts, it cleans better.

This is sturdy and well made and the mechanism works perfectly. The issue other users hav3 had with it having a flat plate, leaving garlic behind in the holes is not an issue for me as I tend to use a lot of garlic at one time an£ one clove pushes out the remnants of the preceding one. The last little bit not being required and the rinsing under the tap to clean being simple enough. It doesn’t stand out as being significantly better than others if this type I’ve used but of a very similar standard.
