Our 15 year old kettle stopped switching off when it boiled so we needed a new kettle. Just a simple kettle to boil water with a hidden element so you can just boil as much as you need.I thought this would be a simple requirement but seemingly not. Ordinary kettles at sensible prices seem to be few and far between.I spent ages reading reviews on kettles from various sites and basically got nowhere. Other reviews on other sites rate this kettle anywhere between rubbish and brilliant and it's pretty much the same with every other kettle out there, regardless of price (and some of then are stupidly expensive!)In the end we took the plunge and bought this one.Other people have commented that it

OK, it’s just a kettle. And, if you’re anything like me, the price is making you hesitate. In the end I got it - after much agonising - and haven’t regretted it since opening the box. Here’s why:Pretty much every other kettle on my shortlist was already at the £50 mark, so essentially it came down to brand and design - was that worth the extra cash. I do love the design of this thing - as daft as it sounds, it’s a joy to use. It looks great, is solid, is a perfect volume, the handle is wonderfully balanced and it makes tea!As a freelancer working from home, the kettle takes a battering and using something you genuinely like every day makes just that little bit of a difference.

I was searching for the retro 50's shape DUALIT kettle. Chrome but with a cream base and cream handle (the handle fits across the top like a traditional 1950's kettle) I searched around but it looks like DUALIT does not do this shape anymore (I had one like this for 5/6 years ) I wanted a DUALIT because I was pleased with the old one.I am happy with the function of this kettle. The grip on the handle is superb. The water measure is very difficult to see though and the shape is nothing like my original DUALIT which fitted in nicely with our 1950's style retro kitchen.

We bought this kettle at the same time we bought our 2 slot dualit toaster, we have had various kettle and toasters but seem to only last a short time, so wethought lrts go for a good make and ai hope we are going to be right, the kettle feels well made, what is good is it has a viewing glass so it can be used left or right handed what did let thing down and its nothing to do with the product is we paid extra for it to be delivered sat only for it to come on the monday. tony j

This product is great. We were looking for a new kettle and my husband and I both have a problem with grip but this design is perfect for us. so easy to hold, very quick and exceptionally quiet when coming to the boil. Picked this model as Which trials stated 'this is the best kettle we have tested in years'. Can well recommend this product, we're very happy with it.

Very stylish and well designed kettle. Having trawled through the kettle market looking for a quality product with good reviews this one met our expectations even though pricey. It is worth it. It is well balanced and serves its purpose well. The key question is how long will it last? So far very pleased.

Arrived within 24 hrs, well packaged. I bought the 1.5 ltr, its smaller than I thought but really attractive looking, expensive for a kettle, but my thinking is it will last me for years, rather than buying a cheaper one. I like the way the top opens (attached to the main body). Very happy with it.

Great kettle! What can I say - it boils water! But it looks good, feels very solid and well made and comes to the boil quickly. I bought it primarily to match my Dualit coffee maker which I've had for years and have had no problems with so let's hope the kettle is the same!

This is the second one we have purchased. A bit expensive but well worth the extra. The old one only let us down once, (out of guarantee), but was repaired FREE OF CHARGE with no questions asked. So when it finally gave up we immediately bought another. Fully recommended.

Dualit kettles are a class apart because of their quality. Fast boiling, stylish design and comfortable to use and maintain. Kettle descales perfectly and seems to have some degree of resistance to scale accumulation, too. Highly recommended.

Old one spired after about 5 years so got this one to replace. Not sure about the hinged lid but the slightly thicker handle is easier to hold and the spout is a .much superior pourer.The old one was good, this one is better!

Love the design. Lid is easy to open. I find it is better to close the lid on the worktop before replacing on the base. Quick boiling. Overall very pleased with purchase. So much so I later bought a Dualit toaster!

Lovely quality item in polished stainless steel (matches toaster etc) . Works perfectly, is quiet and boils quickly. Was received six days ahead of the predicted delivery date, well-packed and protected. Delighted!

It’s a kettle so what is there really to say?Well it looks good. It boils quickly. It’s easy to hold / pour/ clean. It’s expensive but I would say that this is supported by the quality you get

Had this for a week now and it looks great, boils quickly and quietly. Lid is a little difficult to open one handed but otherwise very happy. Not quite sure why it’s so expensive though.
