Sub story... I'm deaf in one ear after a rock concert a few years back. Ironically, being half-deaf is really noisy. I hear really loud, mid-level white noise constantly in my deaf ear. This has the weird effect of making my good ear really sensitive to other external forms of white noise (traffic, wind... kettles).We bought a Russell Hobbs kettle as it was cheap-ish and was "super quiet". Only it was really loud. All my family hate it so it's not just me. Lasted 2 years so just decided to upgrade for the best-of-the-best, the super-quiet Dualit. Not a cheap product and I would not want to pay the list price, but it does seem to be well made and good quality and hopefully will last.The kettle does boil quickly and is quiet by modern standards, but our back up kettle, a 1979 Russell Hobbs is quieter, if slower.The lid is stiff to open, but the instructions explain how it can easily be adjusted.All in all we are very pleased with it.

This kettle was bought as a replacement for dualit kettle which has always leaked at spout.This is robust and solid yet looks good. It is a bit heavier than my last one but not overly. Easyto read measurements. Lid a bit stiff to open but no doubt will slacken through use.I really like this kettle and it looks great alongside my dualit toaster. Many thanks.

This product looks amazing, works beautifully, quietly and with a drip free spout that works. I live in a place where there is a lot of limescale so I shall try and obtain a spare filter before I need one. Expensive to be sure but to me it is worth it.

Has to be the best kettles we've purchased, although over £100 well worth the money. Easy fill, quick boil and no water loss when pouring, very attractive design in chrome. Going to look at the toaster range next....

At last I have a kettle which pours the water without flooding the work top!! It boils quickly, feels great quality and looks good.I know it's not cheap but it is a classic example of 'you get what you pay for.'

Boils water incredibly quickly, useful level indicator so you can just use the water you need. Not quite as quiet as I imagined. Pours really well and looks lovely

Wanted one of these for years. Stylish, shiny, feels and sounds good. I got it second hand but nearly new at a good price. Now to buy a Dualit toaster...

The kettle has a smart looking appearance,easy to use and view water level easily with 3kw element boils water very quickly without too much noise.

Looks the part also quite heavy but you can feel the quality in it don't get me wrong it's very expensive for a kettle but should last for years

Avery good looking kettle. I brought to replace my Bosch kettle, which was very noisy when boiling. This kettle is slightly quieter.

Great kettle the spear for pouring could be better but apart from that lovely in my. Kitchen cheaper them £140 in John lewis !

Quick & quiet boiler. Lid may prove difficult for older / less strong users as it requires a degree of strength to open it.

Well made product. Pours without dripping, only minor criticism is the fill gauge not easy to read.
