I put them on and I thought they were too tight in the toe box 9I like more space for toes). And then I took them for a run... They are absolutely amazing! First 16k run was smooth, achieved faster pace, higher cadence with the same (or less) effort and higher "runefficiency" ever. It is my choice for the next half-marathon and will continue to prepare for the marathon in early Autumn using these and Kayanos. The plan is I will continue workouts using Asics Kayano 24 for longer and slower runs and perhaps for a slow and even marathon race. And GT 2000 6 for tempo workouts and runs up to 10-12k, when I will try to speed up a bit. I just simply can't decide which ones suit me better.

I switched to the Asics GT2000 series quite a few years ago and have never had any serious or long-term injury since then (apart from some caused by obvious overtraining). Prior to using these I had frequent knee issues. A gait analysis in a running shop showed that while I pronate a little, running in this neutral shoe was better for my feet. The results were immediate and I never looked back. I briefly tried a pair of 'other brand' shoes last year and almost immediately started to have some niggles. So I don't bother any more with anything but these and some trail shoes from Decathlon (which are great, by the way). I'm running more on trails these days and since this is a little less metronomic than road running,

I have lost count of how many pairs of GT2000 I have owned and worn out. These are my 3rd pair of version 6. They are lighter than earlier versions. Good ventilation. Are very good for road running and firm trails up to a half marathon. They are not suitable for mud and ruts as they are slippy and less side support. I get around 600km out of them before the sole support has gone or I have broken through the toe. I go for half a size up from my formal shoe style size. Recommend with good socks for a blister free experience. Take your time to adjust the laces and tension on your first few runs to avoid pressure points.If not fussed on colour you can get the price down a lot from RRP.Happy

However not much of an issue as it’s a running shoe.Overall better than the v4’s I replaced given weight drop and vent improvement. Hopefully ankle issue will go after they have been run in.

I ordered the blue ones but the photo is wrong so I returned them and ordered the green. You do need to size up half a size. I am exceedingly happy with these shoes. So far I’ve done about 2 hours of mixed rugged trails and tarred roads. Great performance on both. I’ll use these shoes for marathon training and racing. The ride is incredible. Such a good value for money.

I normally take a 10.5 UK in Asics - these are little narrower than i would normally buy... but then laced up correctly they fit like a glove but i would not wear them all day - just for running - which is fine for me.... you may consider getting a half size greater than usual if you are having then for leisure to wear all day.... but still a great running shoe for me.

Now my third pair of the Ascics GT2xxx series shoe as im a hyperpronator and as always im very pleased with how good they are. And the price i paid for these was really good too. Other colours are a lot more expensive but i dont care what i look like, its all about the comfort and assistance

Love these shoes. Killer running shoes. As I ramp up my training, these have been a perfect companion. Well recommended if they work for your feet - best to go for a proper shoe fitting at a running store with a video setup to analyse your gate first.

Had to order one size up from normal size shoe. But very happy with ASICS trainers. I bought these for circuit training and have now bought a second identical pair for my outdoor 10k runs.

These are the fifth pair of gt 2000 trainers I have brought from Amazon and all five have fit perfectly and arrived on time. As soon as these ware out I shall be ordering another pair

Great running shoes, well ventilated and have worn well over 400 miles of mainly footpath runs, well cushioned, only complaint is the black version is a bit dull :)

I had to send the first pair back as they are smaller than you think. Go for at least 1/2 size bigger than you wear. However... Amazing pair of running shoes,fact!

Ive worn gt-2000s for years. These are extremely comfortable, however the fabric around the he wears away quite quickly compared with their older models.

Good shoes, but they’re ASICS so that’s to be expected. I take a UK 11 in these and UK 10 in normal shoes. Apart from weird sizing they’re great.

Did some research and these came out as good following Achilles surgery... comfortable and supportive. Can’t give more than 5 starts or I would!!
