Ok, I've always known I overpronated a bit. All the classic signs were there: only a moderate arch in my foot; toes turn out a bit; shoes wear through at the little toe area. I've worn the gel nimbus(neutral pronation) for years though and loved them. Til I developed plantar fasciitis. I've done steroids and ice and NSAIDS for 10 months straight and still had crippling pain that interfered with everything. I was afraid I had no choice but to go in for injections and dreaded the idea of surgery, the more so because those don't always work. Then my current pair of gel nimbus began splitting at the outer side, so I shopped the various Asics to find one for overpronators and bought this one. Honestly,my thought was just that maybe they wouldn't split so would last longer. Oh my heaven! I got an immediate decrease in foot pain and its just continued to get better. I've been wearing these not quite 4 weeks and the pain is completely gone in one foot and only occasionally have a twinge in the other. I normally wear a 6 1/2 so, as usual with Asics, I sized up to a 7. Other reviewers talk about this shoe having low arch support but i feel like the entire inner side of the sole is slightly lifted and then moderate additional height in the arch. My feet track straight forward when wearing these. My ankles and knees feel better. Even my back feels better. If you don't overpronate, these probably aren't for you. But if your toes tend to turn out when you walk or your runners tend to split out on the outer side, try these. They're made for you.

I always use asics and have never had an issue with fit. These are fine, and I've not bought this style before.I have arthritis in my knee and hip, and after seeing reviews thought I'd take a risk and invest in these shoes. They are a lot more structured and rigid than asics I've had before and I can feel them pulling my leg back into place, while still being roomy enough for me to spread my toes and move them if necessary.I over pronate and wasn't sure how a shoe so specifically designed to prevent this would feel, but I am really pleased. Although not the usual bouncy sole, I don't feel fatigued after a cardio work out in the gym or run. Even after a weight session I find these suitable,as I feel my posture is also better in these as I'm more aware of my legs and I'm aware of how I'm standing. The support is fantastic and the colour is lovely; pink and grey are my favourite colours, and there is a satin style finish on these trainers as well, which I doubt will last for an outdoor run in wet weather, but it does look wipe clean and I've had them over a week now, trained every day and they look brand new still. Feminine without being over the top in style.Personally, I couldn't be happier with them and I have had no inflammation in my joints since wearing them, and I've been training harder and stronger than normal over January.

I'm 5'8" 145lb. I'm not a runner, but I walk alot! And I mean a lot and I just naturally walk very fast.I have high arches and I over pronate. (oddly enough I can wear 5" heels with no problem, but I do walk slower!)I usually get Gel Kayano's but I read an article that said that these were very close in support.I agree completely. They are very comfortable (order a half size up, I'm a 9 but I bought 9 1/2 perfect fit)My gait is fully corrected. I feel a nice contact with the ground on the ball of my foot without feeling any harsh impact. My gait feel corrected right from the heel strike all the way though toe off. And as we all know, alignment starts there and goes all the way up.Which is probably why I am 59 years old and have no joint pain, no back pain, none of the usual issues that so many have at my age. Sit up straight and wear proper fitting shoes, be they running or heels.I bought two pairs cause I like to alternate to give the shoe a day to air out and rebound.I swear by Asics for mild to moderate pronation problems, over or under.

A pretty comfortable shoe for the most part, my legs don't get tired after wearing them long hours, as I'm finding with the most recent athletic shoes I've tried. I think the only improvement Addias could make is the toe box. They come to a "point" at the center of the toe box, if that point was off center and over the big toe, they'd be perfect. They tend to rub on the side of my big toe. They have a slightly raised heel area, which I think is important. My legs do get tired in a shoe that is too flat, which seems to be the case with all the Nike's I've tried recently. I love the Nike Downshifter 6, which has been discontinued, the Downshifter 7 & 8 are not nearly as comfortable, both too flat. They Acsics I've tried all seem to run large. I like a roomy toe box, which they have, but they are just too roomy overall even ordering a full size smaller. I wish the shoe companies would pay attention to what people LOVE and produce those discontinued favorites once a year.

I was converted to Asics about 5 years ago and this is my fourth pair. I have got two on the go for running, and figured I knew enough about the product to buy a black pair purely on colour to keep for the gym. match my kit and help keep the gym floor immaculate. I got them a size bigger, and disappointingly although there is plenty of toe room, I can't get my orthotic sole in. This in turn means I don't get that little extra 'spring' I used to get from my gel Asics. So that will teach me not to try to be a fashionista! The other thing I don't like is that the 'rubber' along the inner weld of the lace holes is very rough. They seem to have sacrificed a bit of lining to make the shoe very lightweight.I hope this is not going to rub as the shoe wears. But I still think they will be fine for the gym, lightweight, stylish and they didn't need wearing in. These are a very good price. But obviously no longer the premium model.

Absolutely LOVE these shoes!!! They fit wonderfully and they have just the right amount of cushion. I’ve been wearing the ASICS GT-2000’s since model 2 (which were my favorite model) and this model reminds me so much of them. They form to the foot nicely and have all the perfect support for a neutral shoe. I do have a more petite and narrow foot so the shoe fit perfectly for me, no break in necessary. I will say they are a more snug fit from previous models, but they sort of mold around your foot once you've worn them for 20 minutes or so. I felt like the GT2000-4 (the model I had been running in before these) didn’t have enough support in the arch and were lacking significantly in the cushion factor, but all of that has now been remedied with the 2000-6 model. Seriously ASICS well done! I will definitely be buying more of these shoes!

I have usually had success with Asics for running, they're lightweight and offer good support for my flat feet. The GT2000 6 is currently one of my favs for running on the treadmill. They are supportive and have a nice solid structure to them. They are not stiff either. I never have any issues with pain, rubbing etc. (I am also a fan of Mizunos but prefer to run in them outside as they are a bit heavier). I have these in the SOLID BLACK and just purchased the White Coral and Blue ones and find they are pretty to wear with lighter color running stuff. Its a plus that they are kinda cute in colors. I am usually a 8.5 in running shoes..9 in Mizunos and in these I took an 8.5.Wear with thin running socks and they are wonderful.

These shoes are lifesavers! I have flat feet, but my right arch is completely collapsed. I'm in almost constant pain in 99% of shoes, even with orthotics. These sneakers are the first shoes, probably ever, that I can wear all day and not be hobbling at the end of the day. Even my ankles don't hurt which is really amazing. My toes also turn outward due to hallux valgus (bunions, hit the foot jackpot I know), so sometimes my toe hits the top because of that. I wish I could get these in black so I could wear them to work, because my Skechers are truly uncomfortable and I stand all day as a hairdresser. 100% recommend if you also over-probate from collapsed arches like me.Your feet will thank you!

Picking a running shoe is more important than picking your dance partner at a wedding. Because after the dance you can walk away, but a running shoe you use everyday..or as often as you run. It looks you in the face every time you open the shoe closet and begs you for one more run. Sometimes you gotta say no, not today, I have a strain calf but other days you say, yah we are gonna go far today. And you know it will not fail you or get tired. I have been using this brand of running shoe and this model since for the last 15 years. When I think about the history I have with this shoe I think about all the races I have ran and all the hills I have died on.There is no better shoe than this shoe.

I ordered women's size 10 X-wide. This is my second pair of Asics GT 2000s. My first pair served me well for several years, and I finally replaced them. This pair arrived and they were so pretty I almost didn't want to put them on. But I did. I broke them in with a 4-mile walk, and they were beyond comfortable. I have EE wide, flat feet. These running shoes are super supportive, and fit my feet perfectly. The sole of this EE shoe is wide, so it feels I'm very balanced and stable as I move. I don't wear them for fitness beyond running/walking because the tread is pretty sturdy, but for what they were designed to do, they do well.

I am always wary of buying athletic shoes online and I was disappointed by the GT 2000 5 pair I bought last year on Prime Day because it had a slight defect in the insole that made it a centimeter from where it should have been at the arch. This year I planned to buy direct from Asics or locally. At the last minute I was wooed by the Rose color not available on the Asics website and to my surprise and delight the GT 2000 6 pair this year delivers! The fit is exactly right and two three mile runs in the shoes feel cushy and correct - the way this shoe has performed for me since it was called GT 2140.

I've been wearing the Asics GT model for at least 4 years. Every year, maybe every 6 months if I am consistently running (not just in the summer months), I pick up a new pair. I have a low arch and narrow foot. I usually size at least a half size up as recommended for running sneakers. Sometimes I buy the narrow version (2A), but find that my toes appreciate the extra room even though I guess that may mess with my stability. These sneakers are trustworthy and good for folks with no-low arch and overpronation. They were delivered quickly and in tip top shape.

I tried these on in store before hand to make sure the fit was correct. I found they feel a little wide but it could be the smooth material just allows my foot to slide a bit more than I am used to so I just make sure to tie them a bit tighter. The shoe is super comfortable during my runs. I am happy that I switched companies, as the style of my previous brand was changed up and no longer offered the support I needed. These are just what I was looking for. I always buy for comfort first and looks second but it is nice that these are comfortable and cute.

This is my second pair of Asics Duomax Running shoe. I love these shoes so much! For someone with bad knees, plantar fasciitis and impending bunions, these shoes make my feet so happy on my runs. I usually buy them a full shoe size larger if I am running in them because I like the extra space for my toes, but they're pretty true to size! They can be a little tight at first if you're like me and have wider feet, but they stretch out quickly, so if they're tight, go walk a couple miles and they should be just fine! Overall, wonderful purchase:)

Had the 2000-5 and needed to replace due to high mileage. Hesitated to get 6 because I wasn’t sure of fit and didn’t like the feel of 5 later on. I’ve been wearing Asics for about 10 years and have stayed with the 2000 and Kayano series. The 2000-6 is back to its original fit. I was able to return to my 8.5 size and have room in the toe box. My boot shoe size is 8. Last year I had to go to 9 for the best comfort. After 2 runs and 7 miles, this shoe feels good. Would have liked more color options.
