** The only caveat is I had my first pair fitted professionally a year ago at a running shop with gait analysis on a treadmill - so these trainers fit me very well, I went UP a size as you do with most running trainers to allow for swelling.I knew these would have come down in price from my original pair (£135) as these are now last years model which is also a plus.The mesh on the toe did go on within a few months on my last pair but that's what I would expect by the way I run. The trainers are light and comfortable and I love the Lite-Show colours that reflect on the upper, tongue and the heel.

Well.. You need no introduction for a purpose build asics running shoes.I chose gt 2000 because I needed stability.This one has gel in both heel and forefoot. Then there is flytefoam.There is a hard heel guard. I wanted a simple functional black shoe. Then realized it a lite show model and it's actually very good if you are planning to roadrun in dark. These reflective parts get pretty bright when light falls on these.This one is for wide footers unlike cumulus.Go for 0.5 size extra for a comfort feet.If you find these "light show" tacky you can go for the normal ones..

My third pair of these shoes, and they never disappoint. I replace each pair after around 600km, at which point they start to lose the cushioning in the soles.Very comfortable, lightweight, I've run with these in temps from 38 to -8 without any issues.
