This was one accessory i was eagerly awaiting as i need to transfer loads of images from my laptop to my new iPad. It came within a couple of days but when trying to transfer my images from my SD Card via the Lightning Cable i got zilch, nothing happened! I tried numerous times without any prompts popping up as it should do. However, on two occasions i got a "this accessory is not supported by iPad".Unhappy is an understatement as it isn't exactly cheap but maybe i got a rogue one so hopefully the supplier will despatch a replacement to me quickly.++++UPDATE+++++It seems highly probable that the above was 'operator error' as it does in fact work. For some unknown reason it didnt want to port any photos direct from my laptop but does in fact work when downloading photos i have taken straight from my camera...how odd.

As simple as it looks, plug your SD Card into the adapter and plug into your iOS device (iPhone, iPad etc) and open Photos App, at the bottom right will show ‘Import’, where you can choose the photos you want to import to the Photos app. And done. 60 photos transferred in less than 60 seconds. Don’t be tempted to buy the cheap knockoff versions from Amazon and eBay, you’ll be left frustrated and disappointed - this product is made BY Apple.Would recommend to anyone with iOS

Seriously, this is so small, neat and simple I can't actually believe we have been lugging about a laptop or netbook for so long to do the same job - get pictures off our camera's memory card and on to a website whilst on holiday. Straight out of the box, plug it into your iPhone, slot in the memory card. You'll get a box come up showing thumbnails of all your photos so you can select the ones you want to save to your phone, then it's just a few seconds per photo, job done.

What a great little gadget! I don’t have a computer/PC, only an iPad and phone, so this easily transfers photos and videos from camera SD card to my iPad. It’s lightening quick and the photos soon appeared on my iPad. All I had to do was select the ones I wanted to download. It even ask at the end if I wanted to delete everything off the card (I did). Well worth the money, and cheaper than a PC! Here are photo rom my wildlife night camera.

As with Apple products - they are very expensive for a card reader and a short length of cable. It does the job but Apple take advantage of managing to make other leads non-compatible - so there is no choice.Product does work well but at least double the price it should be.Just plug in the SD card, attach reader to phone and it opens automatically for transferring photos.Simple.But Expensive ( sorry - just needed to repeat )

There are much cheaper options but this one always works and is sturdy so well worth the extra price (as with most Apple own brand dongles). It's a shame that the Apple products don't have these built into the hardware in the first place though - because it is annoying having to buy all these very expensive dongles after already buying an expensive Apple laptop / iPad etc.

I needed this item as I have a DJI Mavic Pro Drone and I needed to be able to download pictures and videos from the SD card direct to my phone and iPad Pro. It works a treat and opens up gallery and invites you to chose what files you want to import. This is yet another well designed Apple product. You might pay more, but you know it will do what you need it to do.

This camera card reader is much easier than doing everything via Bluetooth. The only issue is it doesn’t work well with the new IOS update. (It doesn’t recognise it at first, but after a minute or so it comes up on your phone) Although I have spoken to some Apple employees and they assure me it will be sorted in new updates. The reader itself works well though.

This device reads and imports photos from both my Nikon & Cannon cameras, meaning I can share my shots without having to carry a laptop round with me. An added bonus is that the photos are stored on you iCloud at their original resolution, so great in the field backup. Allowed me to continue using my older cameras that are not WiFi or Bluetooth enabled.

Looks well made but on first attempt it wouldn’t work. Called apple support and was told to update my phone. Well being as it worked straight away on my mothers older iPhone and mines the iPhone 11 I thought this was a little crazy. Anyway after I updated still no joy tried plugging it in a few more time then hey presto it decided to work

Does NOT work if your iPhone or iPad runs up to ios12. Needs ios 13 to operate. Took it back for full refund so no problem there. If you do run an old iOS there are ways around it on Google, but frankly it's too much bother. Only option is to buy newer equipment as my older items have reached their software upgrade limit.

Bought this quality product with one thing in mind, to feed pictures loaded directly from a PC onto an SD card into the iPad. Result? Pictures not recognised. Only pictures put on the SD card with a camera will transfer. I later discovered the iPad /USB cable connected to a PC achieved my purpose when used with iTunes.

I needed a way of transferring photos on some old SD cards to my iPad so that I could sort through them and see if I wanted to keep any. Bought this connected up to my iPad, inserted the SD card and there they were, all the photos I needed. Easy to transfer them all in one go. excellent piece of kit.

I have a good digital camera but it does not have wireless picture transfer functionality. With this adaptor I was easily able to transfer pictures to my iPad to edit and post to Facebook. This was really handy on an extended holiday. The product is not cheap but it is useful and it works.
