Great for small businesses. So easy to set up and we find it works quite quickly. Two of us have our phone connected to it and it works fine for both of us. I also do deliveries and take it with me for people to pay at the door and have never had any issues. The battery is amazing we've hardly ever had to charge it.I haven't gave it 5 stars though as after one year our machine just wouldn't work anymore. It told us to contact customer support and we were told it wasn't fixable as some sort of security thing had been triggered which permanently disabled the device. Apparently this happens if there is any impact to the device, however am 100% certain there was no impact to our device.

VERY easy to use and reliable with minimal charges on takings, but I found it awkward to set up initially to pair with my phone & still don't know if this is because of my little mobile or because I had the VPN switched on! In the end I passed it to my husband out of frustration (even though I'm NOT a techno-twit) and HE'S not even sure what the problem was...even though he somehow got it working in the end!!But once the app and device pairing were enabled, the actual thing was really easy to use. I took many transactions over several hours for a fundraising event and it hardly used any of my data or battery and is really easy to use and well designed.

This is a game of two halves.On the one hand the machine is exceptionally easy to use, exceptionally convenient, very fast. Basically I cannot fault what it does. I bought three of these, one for each family member to help them in everyday life selling stuff at boot sales and the like. For this it is brilliant especially as there is no ongoing cost of ownership only in each transaction. Also the reporting from SumUp of what you have taken in payments is very good.But, on the other hand. The commission fee per transaction is very steep. I recently sold a number of items at £450 or thereabouts each. For each one Sum up took c. £8! This is not as bad as some but bear it in mind when working out your sale prices.

It is almost too good to be true! I have worked with so many different card providers that I was dubious that a little machine at £30 could do the trick for my pop up catering. However it is super simple to use, very easy to set up and a delight to have no more up front fees or contract to have had to sign into. Both myself and my business partner can access the account separately, and going on the app to view payments/invoices and be able to reprint receipts is just absolutely fantastic to help with my accounts. Highly recommended for small businesses with low transaction rates (I have about 10 in a 4 hour period for pop up dining,

It has a small footprint. Very square in shape not rectangular see website. Heavy and robustly built. Heavier than izettle.Costs a lot less than izettle, charges the same per transaction. Can be used whilst a USB is plugged in to stop the screen timing out between transactions. Requires very light pressure to press the keys and is covered in a pvc material so dirt and debri won't foul up the keys. The set up literally took seconds. No messing with the Bluetooth settings on your android device. Very pleased with the intuitive ease of operation. The app is fully laden with features, easy and quick to operate. Can send an invoice via email and text immediately at point of sale. Can't fault it.

Got it on a Black Friday sale but after using it I def would have paid full price for it.The battery lasts a long time and the app is very straight forward and easy to operate. I’m a hobby artist and sell art at markets and this wee thing now means I can reduce the risk in a COVID world by taking contactless payments. It looks slick and feels professional which gives the customer some confidence that it’s not a shady transaction. Also been able to send them a recipe via email is a nice professional touch. It takes a lower % price per transaction than most card reader companies and it’s worth paying at the end of the day.I seen a busker use one set up on a tripod! Cool

Bought this for my girlfriend who runs a beauty business. This is a game changer for her as it is extremely light, holds battery for weeks without needing charging, and was extremely straight forward to set up.Links to an app on your phone which you can set up various products/service shortcuts to charge clients before paying.This has been a game changer for her which means no more faffing with change and clients not having the right money.She even recommended to a number of her friends in the industry who also purchased one.Would definitely recommend to anyone in the services industry such as barbers, nail techs, beauticians etc.

Amazing product. I bought this a while ago and it has been invaluable. The ability to accept card payments is a must for any small business. I am a landscaper by trade and previously people have had to do transfers or cash, cash is effort for me and a transfer especially for small jobs is a pain for the client. I have found that people of my age especially don’t carry cash and are so relived, and also suprised I can take card payments. It has made a big difference to me having this product.It’s easy to operate, the app is simple and it even does contactless.

I was sceptical about using a card machine but eventually succumbed and very pleased I did with the SumUp machine. I downloaded the app on my phone paired the handheld unit and I was ready to go. This has helped me numerous times while driving my cab. Extremely low charges 17p per £10 which is way cheaper than a taxi office charge, the unit is a good size and weight with a charge that lasts. All transactions are in my bank within 48 hours. If it's time for your business to move forward it's time to invest in a SumUp machine.

The sum up card reader is great! It was great value and arrived quickly. Was very easy to set up and link with my phone app. It was ready to use straight away and didn’t need charging first. I have used it most days for four weeks for my hair salon and haven’t had to charge it yet. The payment estimate of 3-5 business days is accurate, and I get an email each time with the breakdown of payments and fees which are deducted automatically. The fee cost is very reasonable. I would definitely recommend.

I bought this to use while at craft fairs and outdoor events. It really did only take 5 minutes to set up and worked straight away. I used the same weekend at an outdoor market and it worked with both normal card and contacless payments. Does the job just as I hoped it would. A couple of times it took a second try for a payment to be successful but that happens in shops too. Customers loved having the receipts emailed or texted to their phone

easy to use , great little device , didnt take long to set up and once connected it is very quick to take parment, got to download the app wich is easy enough and keeps track of everything ,payment into bank takes 2 working days and a few hours to show up in the bank, the only downside is that it if you take payment on a thursday or Friday it wont show in bank until Monday as it doesn't do weekends.

purchase for a small business to add card payments as if expanded, found it to be easy to use and a cheaper option than some other card readers.Only fault is that it can take a couple of days for the money to reach your account, but as it was stated in the product blurb it was a factor taken into account when purchasing the reader.All in all a good option for small businesses

Apparently these products are really good and a must have if you are running a small business. Unfortunately I can’t give my personal review as I trusted Amazon to deliver mine and as they have a pathetic and dire service, again this item failed to arrive. I will be buying direct from the supplier which although will cost me more, it will however arrive.
