Design:Really good looking addition to any PC or Mac etc. Solid Metallic feel.Functionality:Fast transfer speeds, works flawlessly with any machine I plug it into.Quality:The metallic part of the product is of a really nice quality and feels incredibly durable. The plastic part (black) worked for me and met my expectations as a product from Kingston, until the glue holding the 2 components became unstuck. This then made the black component not sit securely in the rest of the reader and upon pulling the device from my MacBook, the plastic came off in my hand, leaving the metal part still in the laptop. Conclusion:The product performs flawlessly in terms of raw memory card reader functionality.I had trouble with the plastic separating itself from the metal but nothing some DIY and superglue couldn't fix. A shame as it would be a 5 Star immediately.

Good item, accepts SD and microSD cards easily (so covers all the cards used in GoPro cameras (my main reason for getting one)), and plugs effortlessly into the USB-C ports on my 2016 MacBook Pro, so file transfer of video files and pictures is speedy. One thing I did notice was that plugging it into the back ports on either the left-hand of right-hand sides of my MBP (there are only four USB-C ports on the 2016 MBP, so this needs a USB-C to USB-A adaptor) was that the Kingston MobileLite card reader (and the cards themselves) got very, very hot - almost too hot to hold in the palm of the hand.Putting it in the front Lh and Rh USB-C ports (using the adaptor cable) the card reader is much cooler.I guess it might be the case that the rear ports output a little more power to drive certain peripherals. Otherwise this card reader is pretty much faultless.

Great little plug and play card reader that seems to work better and faster than the integral readers in my computer to download photos from my camera card, and you can use micro-SD cards without an adaptor. Good secure USB connection and of course easy to transport in pocket or bag, being only the size of a book of matches. Robustly made and smartly finished in brushed metal and black plastic, this looks and feels like a professional piece of kit that will allow you to transfer data rapidly from a good variety of memory cards - very pleased with this and would thoroughly recommend.

This may only be a humble little card reader, but as card readers go, it's a very fast one, transferring files at warp speed compared to some others I've used. It's USB 3.0 compatibility means that theoretically it should be able to transfer data more than 10 times faster than USB 2 (if your device has a USB 3.0 port, obviously).Size-wise it's a tad bigger/chunkier than I expected, but that hopefully means that it's harder to lose, and besides, it weighs hardly anything. As humble little card readers go, it's a good 'un.

It's worth paying the extra for the quality of this product.it is portable and durable as well as being beautifully designed.Being a Kingston branded product gives you more peace of mind that it's not pre-loaded with any spyware and it transfers data reliably. As a business owner, I don't want something that looks like a plastic piece of tat if I have to copy pictures from a camera in front of a customer so this looks professional as well as working reliably.I'm really pleased I bought this thing.

This is much faster than the built in card slot and takes a good range of cards [SD, SDHC, SDXC, microSD, microSDHC, microSDXC plus UHS-I and UHS-II] plus it is small, lightweight, looks sleek and well built.A good buy for anyone who regularly downloads photos or videos. My transfer of holiday photos was twice the speed, a very efficient process, this will be definitely carried around with my camera as I am definitely impressed.

Neat and simple - good to have a no fuss design that does its job effectively. Some point out that the device, being wider than a memory stick (just over the width of a SD card), may impede access to adjacent usb sockets.- fortunately, my usb sockets being vertically aligned on the computer's front panel, cause no such problem. The item needed no setting up and worked immediately on XP, Windows 7 and Puppy Linux systems.

I have tried many cards readers, need them mainly for photograph transfer, they usually are slow or don't work after a couple of weeks. This one is extremely fast and I can view the photos, (some are very large files) instantly, download is almost as quick.I now leave this plugged into the PC all of the time and just slot the cards in and out.Best one I can remember buying and I have had a few.

I have tried many card reders and they either stop work at some point(don't get recognised by the PC) or data transfer Is to slow. Kingston MobileLite G4 does neither one of these. It has a superb design, doesn't feel cheap and plastic and USB 3.0 allows you to transfer data at the maximum speeds supported by the SD card that you use. Won't go wrong with this card reader!

this is a fast unit, when plugged into my usb 3 port on my desktop. excellent value for money (£7.12)did get warm a little for large amounts of data, but that is more down to the memory card in use. highly recommended.I was getting 80-90MB read and 70-75 write with the fastest SDs I have. remember speed is more determined by the memory card than the card reader.

Bigger than expected but looks great and works perfectly. I had a smaller one from another company but that was super stiff putting in the SD card. So I got this one. As it sits on my desk (since I use it often) I appreciate the expensive and stylish look. Super fast data transfer. I move big files around and it does it fast.

Does exactly what is says in the description, fast, quickly recognised by my PC and it seems impervious to water (not that it's advertised as that) but mine went through a washing machine whilst inadvertently left in my shorts pocket! Left to dry on a window sill and it still works, please don't try this at home as they say.

What a great simple gadget. The card reader is simple to use and intuitive with the two card slots working as they should the face side up for both cards so no more wondering which way round to put the card in , unlike so many other readers. Good value , with a feeling of robustness. All in all just the job

Great little SD & MicroSD card reader that's fairly compact and has a good solid performance.Very convenient for myself as SD and MicroSD cards are the exact two types I use with my camera gear and I can comfortably shove in my camera bag.Feels weighty and well constructed, easy to use and have no issues.

I use this with high speed SD cards to transfer large audio recordings, sometimes in excess of 10GB (at 96kHz and 32-Bit), and this little device allows me to plug it straight in to my Mac Pro (2013). Works perfectly, even with microSD cards. Useful to have if your device doesn’t have an SD card port!
