I like it. What I was needing, was something I could store data on, that I could plug into a usb slot of something in which to move data to and from it, and do so at a speed that I think is fitting for the age we live in. I wanted it to be 32gb, so that I could use it for an operating system as well if I desired. As luck would have it, this indeed turned out to be what I needed, given that it allows 32gb of storage, seems to transfer data at a speed I am happy with, and does plug into a USB slot to do this, as the name of the product suggests. As an added bonus, I guess you could put it on your keyring, or loop some bit of string through it's loop hole and then tie that around whatever appendage you feel safest tying it around,if perhaps you're in the business of storing top secret information that you are not authorized to have and are trying to keep it from falling into the wrong hands. The end cap fits snugly over the plastic loop, so that there's no reason to lose it while you are actually using the USB stick. The only con I can think of, is that if you are using this to take top secret information from one location to another, and put say, some kind of chain through the loophole, there is a danger you could lose the end cap if say, you stopped at a burger bar and wanted to check the information you had on there was still on there by plugging it into your laptop for a quick paranoid peak at the contents (just in case, like in the movies, where the data can magically turn into some kind of wireless device that interacts with satellites, provides your location to the organization you acquired the data from, and then promptly erases it all as the alerted police forces who have now captured you for doing this, check out your story by attempting to read the data contained therein).Other than that, I think it's pretty good.EDIT!!: Bought 16Gb one same time, and discovered an issue, not tested on the 32gb one:I can't review the 16gb version separately it seems, and it seemed just fine UNTIL I wanted to use it as a boot drive.I couldn't work out why I could not boot from this thing having created both a live Linux installer environment on it and tried on several computers, and also having tried installing Linux to it from a bootable Live Linux installer using a PNY 2Gb USB Flash drive. Nothing I did would work, yet the PNY drive worked as a bootable drive with absolutely no issues.Found this also: http://bootableusb.net/kingston-datatraveler-g4/Check the comment below the article. So if you want to make a portable Linux environment on it that will boot directly from the USB drive, this is not the product for you.

I already own two16gb Kingston flash drives and they have proved straight-forward to use, robust and reliable. So, unless it should happen that packing 128gb into essentially the same space as 16gb gives problems, I am reasonably confident that this one too will continue as well as it has begun. The nominal 128gb capacity is whittled down to a practically useful 115gb of available space, slightly less than 90% of the nominal. On their website Kingston offer some plausible explanations of why so much space is held back, but it can be disappointing to find you haven’t got as many gigabytes as you thought you had paid for - and 10% less on a drive this size is massive. My read and write speeds are lower than those produced by standardized tests,no doubt because, like most of us, I generally have a lot of other things running on my computer at the same time. However, for my purposes – essentially just backing-up archive files – it doesn’t matter that the initial transfer of bulk data took a while, as from then onwards downloading the odd file or uploading a single day’s new or modified files is done so fast you would struggle to measure the time it takes. The backwards compatibility to USB 2.0 is a plus for those of us with a mix of new and older equipment.Like my other Kingston drives, the width (in this case 20mm) rules out using two USB sockets that are close-coupled side by side. Each item, or its plug, needs to be no more than about 15mm wide for side-by-side use.The slot for a key ring is in the valuable part of the flash drive, not the cap (as it is with two others – other makes; older models – that I possess). So if the cap and the main body part company at some critical moment, you should be left with the part that matters, not just the cap.The flash drive comes with minimal documentation, but the Kingston website is well worth a visit and www.kingston.com/support is genuinely useful.A generous five year ‘defective product’ warranty is provided, so most things that could fairly be laid at the manufacturer’s door should be covered.I will add to this review below if any problems emerge as time goes by.

I bought this USB stick to use in my Pioneer P46GT30B TV. There's some good news and some bad news. The good news is this stick is lightning fast - in a USB 3.0 socket it easily achieves 35-40MBytes/sec transfer (read and write) so copying big video files onto it is super fast - several times faster than any previous sticks I have. The downside is it looks like this puppy uses a lot of power. It gets very hot in use - the problem here is you'll need a powered hub to use it on some devices. I tried this stick in my Pioneer TV and it trips its power supply - after about 10 seconds, the TV powers off and it won't work until the Kingston is removed. I've had no problems with other sticks including a USB 2.0 Kingston 64GB.So all in all,a great stick but if you're planning on using it with a TV, it might be worth sticking with a USB 2.0 stick.

Seems like a bargain. I wasn't looking for an super fast flash drive, but I didn't want a slow one either. This seems to be a good balance between capacity/speed and price. I went for the 32GB one for about £8, supplied by Amazon.I wasn't using any fancy benchmarking software, just what Windows 8 tells you the rate is as you copy stuff about. I was copying a large, 15GB, single file between machines. Windows 8 reported nearly 40MB/s write speed, and about 80MB/s read. That was writing via USB2 (source machine) and reading from USB3 on the destination machine.I did do one generic "backup to this drive", where lots of smaller files where involved, and the write performance did drop dramatically, but I really wanted it as a simple way to move large files between machines.

This is a thin USB drive so it fits in the front panel of a computer as well as the front or back panel of various set top boxes. A 32 GB drive helps me make several Freeview recordings using Freeview HD Set top boxes. This drive has been recommended by Netgem TV on their website so that's why I bought these. Also notice the red circle at the end of the drive which helps us to remove the drive from USB ports. At the other end, we have the USB drive cap that protects the connector. When using the USB drives it helps to learn what the equipment offers us to eject the drives safely, whether it's a computer or a set top box, so check the various settings and Menus to find how to do this...

Wow the quality of these kingston data travellers is somewhat impressive. While the other manufacturers are cutting the cost of manufacture assandisk are, kingston are certainly not. The build quality is second to none with a proper sturdy encasement while the metal usb plug are very well manufactured and look like they will last a lifetime. As for the price for a 32gig stick they dont cost much more than the cheap and cheerfull china jobs that always lose data. USB 3.1 too so double quick with data transfer. You honestly cant beat em they are a steal. I was a sandisk fanboy but not anymore. Well reccomended. You cant be dissapointed with these badboys. ??

Pros: I have bought other flash drives and some have corrupted, but over many years of using Kingston Datatravelers this has never happened. They are quite cheap compared to some other flash drives. Cons: The 64GB drive actually has 57.7GB of usable capacity, that is some 10% less than the 'headline' 64GB, but the Kingston website and packaging avoids telling you actual capacity of any of its flash drives (As do most other manufactures). From comparison websites, this seems to be near the bottom of usable capacity for a flash drive. But overall for the price and reliabilty a pretty good buy.

I needed a storage device which could be used to back up my pictures, docs and music, following a recent problem which resulted in some data loss. I also use Cloud and a desktop hard drive. The device works well and I find I can use it on our new TV.I have to say it isn't glitch-free on my laptop which is rather temperamental about recognising the drive. I think this is a problem with the laptop and not the drive as it works on everything else OK.I opted for 32mb because the price was affordable and you never know when you might need the extra capacity. I'm pleased with my purchase.

I'm in possession of two DataTraveler USB drives so far. Both of them are 32GB although I have decided to buy a pendrive of a greater capacity due to the nature of my work. I have never had issues with those drives. Unfortunately I have to admit that upload speeds are not great and rarely reach 10MB/s what is quite disappointing even if it is NTFS type of partition. However read speeds are way over 40MB/s which is a fair speed for a USB 3 drive. If someone asked - yes I do have USB 3 Ports on my laptop. I rate this product 4/5 due to low upload speeds.

Pros:• Very good read/write speed• High capacity• Comes with cap to keep the connection safe when not in use. Cap also fits onto the back when in use.• Can be put on a keychainCons:•Sometimes Windows doesn't detect it requiring you to take it out and plug it back in again, though this has only happened once or twice so it's likely more of a Windows error.Overall:Very good USB stick. It fits all my college work on it with plenty of space left over. I also tried using this USB for Remix OS and it booted fine from this.

Great product with very good transfer speeds. I can assure you that this product is very much all that it says. I have found no faults with this. The only thing that may lead people astray from this product is that fact that the whole thing is made entirely out of plastic. I really like the fact that the cover which can be removed can be put onto the back of the flash drive. The reason I opted for a USB with a cover was to protect it from any damage. The lid has great grip and can be taken off with relative ease.

I bought several of the 32GB sticks for approx £4 each from Amazon. The purpose being to give people copies of a family video. One thing to note you may want to format the drive as NTFS before copying anything onto it, this way you wont get an error about file size being too big. At this price you get the faster USB storage and effectively several relatives now have backup copies of the family video. USB 3 also means that file copying to/from the drive will be faster than the older USB 2 format.

Over the past few years storage of all types have tumbled and usb flash sticks arent the exception to this. These are great value for the size your getting.Works a treat for me to transfer the kids favourite films to plug into their devices and TVs in order to give me peace and quiet!Transfer speeds (read/write) again very reasonable and do the job.Thick enough to stick in your pocket not lose it but not bulky to get in the way or be noticable. Will be buying again

Bought this to shove in the back of a new Avtex TV to provide recording/pause capability when we're roughing it on holiday in the motorhome. Huge capacity for a very competitive price from a known brand - excellent. Works as expected. I was tempted by the new tiny sticks that are barely larger than the socket, but was put off by reports of extreme overheating from various makes. This stick gets slightly warm to the touch when in use, so no problems there.

It feels quite fast. It is recognized faster, works faster, everything is faster with this baby.32GB is a quite nice number for a USB stick and I was worried it might be too large and slow down everything but I was wrong, this thing is 10x faster than my quite old 2GB USB stick. The only downside to this stick is the size. It's too big and makes other USB devices impossible to plug-in next to it (if on a laptop that has the USB ports closer together).
