[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family was excited to try this! After downloading the app on an iPad and setting up the camera against a different wall from the TV, we were able to cast to the TV for the players guessing. The pen does not require Bluetooth to play this, just pop in the battery and turn it on. It responds to the light-up color of the pen tip, which is red when you turn it on and green when you hold down the button to draw. Part of the fun is that you can be a little “off” as you’re drawing, because you cannot see the lines you’ve drawn. (If you do happen to try to watch yourself on the TV, it makes drawing harder because it is a mirror image). The “ink” color matches whatever team color you choose. It defaults to Blue vs. Yellow (which matches the color of the cards), but you can adjust to others, like pink, green, orange, or purple when setting up a match. During setup, you also choose how many rounds (a minimum of 3) and how much time per round (a minimum of 90 seconds). Ideally, I would’ve liked to have had the option to customize time lengths per team in case you want younger players to have more time. Speaking of ages, this game is listed as Ages 8+, which seems about right. My 5 & 7 year olds played this, with varying difficulty. 5yo needs someone to read the clues to her and has trouble keeping the button held down on the pen when trying to draw- so overall, too young to play but wants to be included so we had one of the grownups help guide the pen with her. 7yo needed a little help with reading the clues, but could navigate the pen fairly well. Both got frustrated at points, but my 7yo still loved it and wanted to keep playing after the rest of the family was done. They also had to be reminded that they could interact with their drawings to help guessers. With older players, you wouldn’t have some of those issues, and I would definitely recommend as something to try for game night! The only other minor complaint is that the clue cards are supposed to be the same level of difficulty, but there are definitely some that seem a lot harder than others. As the game is running, there’s a way to keep track of clues that have been guessed correctly by clicking on the star icon (which also clears the drawing for the next clue), a pause button, and an eraser to clear whatever’s currently drawn. For my younger ones, we used the pause button at times to give them a little extra time to think. I imagine we’ll continue to get more use out of this game as the kids get older and I look forward to playing with more adults once the pandemic lockdown is over! I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

The PictionaryAir is a great product. It was very simple to set up, with clear instructions that my 8 year old son was able to follow. It was a little tricky at first to get decent drawings but after a couple of turns everyone got the hang of it. The interactive pen is great as you can stop pressing the button in between drawings to stop battery wastage and continuous lines. A great twist on classic Pictionary! Some of the subjects on the card were a little hard for the younger players but there was a great range of topics to draw. We all had a great laugh and will definitely be recommending it for Christmas to others. Like I said,it may be a little tricky for children under 7 due to some of the topics on the cards and the fact the button has to be pressed in to draw. The ability to record and save each persons turn was brilliant and kept the laughter alive as we sent it to friends and grandparents who weren’t with us at the time. We used an iPad and a smartphone to play the game but will be trying out the television option once we have more people over. Loved the fact that it also came with a battery for the pen so it could be used straight away. The pen is lightweight too so easy to hold, however it is a bit chunky. I appreciate that may be due to the battery space and all the other mechanical bits that I have no clue about. Regardless of that, we found it easy to use and didn’t have any glitches whilst we played. The app worked for us while we weren’t connected to the internet or data which was a big plus as it meant we could play the game easily and whenever. The quick video instructions were a nice touch. The packaging could of been reduced in our opinion to a smaller box. We give it 5 starts and will be getting a lot of use out of it. Will be great when my son has friends over for play dates too!

This game is nice and neat with compartments for each item. We found the rules slightly difficult to understand to start with, but after a few reads we got it and were up and running. We played with 2 teams and my youngest who is 5 wanted to play, now although it states 7+ we gave it ago, with a little help reading some words it was all good! It comes with lots of picture cards to chose from, and even has an easier set of cards which makes it more enjoyable for the younger ones. We didn't attempt the harder card's this time. We did have to keep going back to the rules at times, but i think thats just because we've bever played before so was unsure. The game was great fun and when put on the spot its quite amusing to see what the children draw/guess. You have 1 minute on the timer to draw your chosen word,a clue is given to your team, which quite often was needed! Each team has a small pad of paper and a small pencil each to use. The paper won't last long but is easily replaced,i do think it could of come with more choice of crayons, maybe coloured crayons? There was a vast difference in age of the children that played this..5,6 (very nearly 7) 9 and 12,the rules do suggest teams of similar ages,i agree for sure with that!!

I was a little apprehensive about trying out this game at first because Pictionary was a firm favourite of mine when I was a child. We played this game as a family including our 9 year old son. My initial thoughts that maybe this version would spoil the original were changed as we really enjoyed playing it (maybe even more so than the traditional pen and paper version). Once you've downloaded the app on a phone or tablet you're ready to go. It is a little tricky to get used to drawing in mid-air and remembering where your left off but after a while you get used to it - even our 9 year old could draw recognisable things using it. We didn't connect it to a TV because ours isn't "smart" but I think this would further enhance the playing experience.I like that there's the option to draw in normal or selfie mode and the length of each round can be adjusted. Great family game for people of all ages!!!

A fantastic spin on the original game. Like the original game you draw a card and then draw the clues, only this time you use the 'magic' pen and draw in the air. With the use of an app what you draw is then displayed for others to see on a mobile device or tablet. You can also connect to your TV for even more fun. The pen is lightweight and easy to use, and once you have downloaded the free app, you just insert the battery (provided) into the pen and you are ready to go!There are several play options available such as selfie mode and the duration of each round can be adjusted, there is also the option to add stickers and text to your drawings so there is plenty to try out. This is great fun and is perfect for parties, family get-togethers etc. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pictionary Air is such a fun game, will make you laugh for sure, but also proved difficult for my 8 year old. I love the concept and getting setup was quite easy. We downloaded the app on mobile phones as well as a tablet and streamed to our TV for the full experience. After a bit, only one of us held the phone and the rest watched on the TV which made it a little simpler. We love the game but my 8 year old is frustrated that she can't draw in the air without overlapping her drawing which makes it hard for anyone to guess, but the guesses are much more comedic. She tried to keep turning and looking at the TV to see her own drawing, but that didn't really help. Overall, great game but there is a difficulty to it for the younger players.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we got this game my kids were super excited to try it out, they are 8 and 10. We hooked the game to our IPad, the app was very easy to find and install. Starting off they had a hard time using the pen, and kept forgetting to hold the button down to draw, but they got better with that in time. Overall, it was very hard to draw in the air for all of us, but that made it funny to watch what was coming on the screen, there were lots of laughs. We liked how you could clear the screen if you knew you were really messing up the drawing. Also, some of the categories were a little complicated for our 8 year old, but he was able to pick through and find some good ones for him.I think with more practice we could all become better air drawers!!

Junior pictionary was a great hit with all of us. We had 2 teams and made sure to balance them fairly (adults/kids). I would say to have an adult drawing on one team when a child is drawing on the other as it means they can whisper the word if needed of the child isn't a confident reader and also you can look at their drawing for clues if the child's one is a little unclear... A few times the word was something the child didn't know (we had a 6 and 9yo playing) so we had to try and quietly explain what sort of thing to draw. Despite these small points all of them loved it and asked to play again on other occasions. Would be a great family gift (Christmas Eve box?) and also good for taking on holiday for rainy days.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

So much fun! We didn't expect to enjoy this as much as we did. We would have rated it 5 stars, only our 12 year old got a little frustrated with the difficulty of drawing some of the card suggestions. The pen idea works really well, although you do have to make sure the light is pointed towards the phone screen at all times, otherwise the drawing comes out a bit patchy. This only happened once or twice though, so it didn't take away from our enjoyment of the game. Next time we'll try it on the TV as it would likely help to see ourselves whilst drawing, that said, the app also offers a 'selfie mode' which would have the same effect. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game is such a cute idea. You read the prompt, and "air" draw the topic. The lines you draw show up on the device you've chosen to use (there's an app). The app helps out by organizing the flow of the game, keeping score, etc. My kids really liked both drawing and being able to "interact" with their drawings, as best they could. The trouble part is mostly spatial. It's hard as the artist to gauge the space needed to draw your picture and have it show up well on the device. We found that we were not at all successful in guessing each other's drawings, especially compared to traditional pictionary, but still had fun.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game was hilarious to play! We had so much fun. We had all kinds of ages play from 8 years to adult and everyone spent the night laughing. Hint - Make sure to stand still while you draw! We had to take off a star since it isnt compatible with Amazon devices so we couldn't play it on the TV which would have made the game a lot less fun if we would have had more players. Our small group was fine using the phone. Also, when the app freaks out and freezes it doesn't save the game you are playing and you have to start over. The fun we had makes up for the flaws though. I see many more family game nights in our future.

Following a quick app download The Pictionary air was easy to set up. The instructions were easy to follow, I also found the on screen instruction videos on the app very useful. The quality of the pen is good and having a battery provided is always a good thing. The cards a clearly written and our 9yr old found them easy to read.Inside the packaging was a helpful box that would be great if you choose to take the game out.We had a lot of fun playing the game, it’s defiantly one for any family game night.
