Panic set in when our last remaining app charger melted under the pressure of being used round the clock from seven Apple users. Kids were crawling about not knowing what to do with themselves. My wife was just crying continuously without access to Instagram and online shopping. It was like the land of the living dead. So my cheapie lead didn’t work in the new car and the Apple CarPlay kept dropping out and breaking up. I was more than miffed to say the least. A new (to me anyway) motor with whizzies and bells and it wouldn’t work!The dealer said “try an OEM Apple lead, we’ve found that works in most cases”. I thought he was messing about and trying to delay the inevitable return to dealer for attention. But no! OEM Lead ordered and used for the last 3 months. Absolutely perfect reception in 2,000 miles of usage.So if wired in Apple CarPlay is playing up (no pun intended) buy one of these and it will be fine.Just remember, no unnecessary journeys says the government.......... (sorry couldn’t resist it)

Does what I want, albeit I would have preferred a design in which a mobile phone can be mounted straight onto the charger, without needing a cable.I recently upgraded my phone. The previous phone was an IPhone 4 with the old style 30-pin charger. I had a charger on which the phone could be mounted directly, which meant there was no need for a cable.For some reason, nobody seems to manufacture a lightning 'cable' type of the same design.Maybe there are unspecified reasons, but it is a shame really.One other observation is that the plug was getting quite hot while my iPhone 6S was charging.I'm not sure why, the plug is rated at 1 Amp, which is a relatively low charge rate.

The 3rd cable for my I-phone5 - like the others - stopped charging - broken wire. Power at 40% - desperate to recharge in E. Sussex village - nearest town Hastings - no Apple store - just online Argos mail order - BUT SAME DAY DELIVERY. Only 2m cable in stock - whatever - I need it now - when is it convenient to deliver? It came before the battery zeroed. Bonus - longer cable reaches bedside table with spare to read in bed. And it feels far stronger than all the older originals. Very happy.

Argos is simply supplying an adapter and credit to Argos the ordering process was simple and I collected it the next day from my local store, or could have gone another branch 5 miles away and got it the same day.What can i say its a USB-C adapter for the new MacBook. In my opinion it should be supplied FOC when you purchase the MAC as you cannot use existing non USB-C devices otherwise. So it is an essential bit of kit. You may wish to purchase the Gigbit Ethernet Adapter too.

It is quite expensive but for an apple product are you surprised? I would highly recommend apple accessories specifically rather then other company chargers for example. in the long wrong it’ll ruin your battery life and I have learnt this the hard way. I have recently purchased iPhone XS Max and I was charging my phone with my Curry’s iPhone charger - works perfectly fine, would charge my phone every night. Ever since I’ve used iPhone apple charger, I charge my phone every 2 nights

Although quite expensive I wouldn't hesitate to buy this 2m cable. I have bought various cheaper options over the last couple of years and without fail they go wrong after a few weeks and wind up being throw in the bin. I have had one of these genuine Apple cables for ages now and it has never failed so I bought one for my daughter. That extra metre of length makes a huge difference to how far you can go! I personally think Apple substitutes are a waste of money in the long run.

This cable is just what i needed! after using the cheaper ones and seeing them fall apart or be imcompatible with apple products i threw the towel and paid more and it seems to have paid off. the quality is better and seems to charge my iphone 5s that little bit quicker.what i would say is that you shouldnt buy this on a whim but when you need a new one pay that little bit extra, it reaches across a double bed, superior quality, is a genuine apple product and doesn't fall apart!

Ok I bought this direct from Amazon themselves, stocked and supplied and sold by amazon. I don't know about other sellers but I can say 100% the one I got from amazon is most def genuine apple product. I use it with the apple plug that come with my iphone and its worked perfect, no warning or faulty message as others have said. I would def recommend as the 1m usb cables that come with iphone are only for use when plugged into laptop they're rubbish for anything else way to short.

tried buying cheaper on eBay, never sure if it’s genuine. Why genuine? used supermarket cables which I was happy with the look of, had to bin a good iPhone 5s, could no longer get it to register the charge lead. assume due to wear from cheap leads poor connection,this does seem to charge items faster, 2m means I can still use sat on couch. For the train the 1m makes sense. Have been impressed with apples no quibble replacement on my 6s case hopefully same for this if needed

After purchasing my phone, I have realised that chargers do not last long. I have spent copious amounts of money on numerous cheaper alternative chargers that seem to work fine for a few weeks before completely becoming unusable. Finally I decided to stop kidding myself and buy another apple charger. BEST. DECISION. EVER.The convienience of the length combined with the speedy charging makes this the charger of my dreams!! Highly highly recommend to everyone !! It’s amazing.

Always had the standard length and found that they are just not long enough and this causes a straining effect on the cable.....just a bit longer works all that out, Apple charger charges quickest and for longer use. Have done an experiment and bought the longer cable (2m) and the shorter (.5m) to combat bending and straining. Both work well, the longer can be used while charging and the shorter one stays on the table and you can't use while charging. Will always buy now.

People who are looking for a nice charger don’t read the 3 and 2 and 1 star comments because this is a great product and I hope you buy it and enjoy it! Measured end to end, the cable is 6.5’ long, just as advertised. It uses the same white plastic housings around the Lightning and USB plugs as Apple’s other two cables, which means that it’ll be able to connect through any case, and will take up as little room as possible when plugged into a computer.

Came across a problem error while updating iphone during lockdown that required genuine Apple charger. I thought my phone was broken but couldn't get out to shops to get it fixed. After googling the error code it became apparent that I required a genuine Apple charger and ordered this as my Amazon prime meant super quick delivery. Item arrived and plug in to itunes...phone updated and working again. Very confident that this product is genuine.

I required another apple wire amd came across this one and thought it was a great price. When it arrived I quickly realised it wasn't genuine Apple, however I am very happy with it, it fits the iphone and ipads perfectly and charges just as well an Apple one.The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is simply because it was misleading to say it was an Apple product when its not. Otherwise it works very well and does what I need it to.
