UPDATE DOWN BELOW.Here's the thing. The material is not as soft and flexible as advertised and the iPhone charger head (the head the goes into the iPhone) is loose and is easily disconnected. I woke up last night to drink some water and take my phone out of the charger and it was not charged. And after I wiggled it a little it was connected again and was charged by morning. What if I had not woke up? Then the alarm would not have gone off and I would have overslept and would have missed my class.So I will now wait for an email from Anker to see if this is a normal occurrence or what and decide what to do.--------------------------------------------------------Not long after submitting the comment above (less than 24 hours),I received an email from Anker trying to solve the problem.They offered to send me a replacement cable. Although it wasn't sent by the Prime one-way delivery with which the first cable was sent, it was sent by standard delivery.But in the meantime, they did not ask me to return the first cable for my convenience.The replacement cable was an entirely different product and was much better than the first one. However, that did not work either, so I wrote them what my problem was with it and they offered me a refund. After I confirmed my account details, they sent the refund and asked me to let them know when I received it. Which I did. And even then they told me to dispose of the cables myself and don't inconvenience myself with returning them.What I mean to say by all this is, there is no losing with Anker. You shouldn't be afraid to buy their products because they usually are great, I know as this was not my first purchase from Anker. And even if their products are defective or just not for you, their amazing customer service is there to help you. You cannot say this about many companies.

I don't normally write reviews, however for good customer service from Anker I wanted to share my experience. After seeing these cables, while looking for a very cheap replacement from the broken Apple cables I have, I saw these by Anker. After using various different Anker products before I didn't hesitate to buy. They arrived very quickly after ordering and work very, very well. The added length to the cable was excellent (but expected). What I wasn't expecting was that the cables come with a Velcro strap which can be used to hold the extra length of cable together if it isn't needed (nice touch Anker). These cables are very well built and I was very impressed with my whole experience.The reason for writing this review and giving it a 5 star rating is this...Suddenly (a few months into owning one of these cables) it stopped working. I tried it with different Apple wall adapters, plugging it into different computers and also trying to charge different devices. I couldn't do anything to make this cable work. I contacted Anker late that night and had a reply by the next day, they asked a few questions. Two days after my e-mail to them was sent another one was in the post and on its way to me. As any product there will be slight faults or issues and I was unlucky enough to get one, Anker was very apologetic and very professional. The reason I like Anker products is because of the high build quality and then great customer service that they have! Well done Anker!If you are looking for another lightening cable look no further than this one! Added length compared to the apple original make things a lot easier, the braided cable Mae it a lot stronger and you've got the help of Anker with any question you have.

So far so good.You wouldn't think an extra couple feet would be such a life saver, but I can't believe how many times it's come in use.The grey nylon braiding gives it a strong feel (whilst looking really nice).It came in a simple cardboard box that was no bigger than it needed to be which is good - oversized/over complicated packaging is such a huge pet-peeve of mine. Having purchased an Anker product before it's something I've come to like about this company. The cable also came with a fancy Velcro strap to keep it together and neat which was a nice touch.I'm only waiting now to see how long it lasts. Some of the other reviews seem to claim it hasn't lasted as long as they would have liked.Having had some third-party iPhone chargers before, I know they tend to die earlier than expected.Having said that, even if it does die quicker, it would have been worth the purchase due to how useful the length has turned out to be. I'd also rather pay this price again in a year or so than the extortionate £30 that apple charges for a similar cable in two.Another drawback I've noticed with this product is that the head of the cable is a bit thicker than an official Apple charger. At the time, I had a case which had quite a small hole for the port so I had to take it off every time I needed to charge. A minor inconvenience, but it can get frustrating after a while. I ended up changing my case.In terms of charging times, I haven't noticed any huge difference between this cable and the Apple one.There's not really much else I can say - it's just a phone cable after all. What I will say is I recommend this product to anyone. If you're considering buying it - go for it. It will find it's use.

Update 08.03.2017:Following the original purchase becoming faulty and failing to provide charge, I was contacted by the Anker Customer Service Team. The Team were very disappointed to hear that the cable was not functioning as intended and offered to supply a replacement, which was in fact the newer, redesigned version.Having now used the replacement cable for around three weeks, with various devices and power sources (mains, portable chargers etc), I have had no further issues with charging. This updated version of the cable feels more robust than its predecessor, which will hopefully aid its longevity.This has been great aftercare from the Anker Customer Service Team.--end update 08.03.2017--Update 31.01.2017:After around a year and a half of occasional use,the message "Charging is not supported with this accessory" is displayed on iPhone and the phone does not charge.This seems a short life expectancy for a product at this price point.--end update--The cable arrived well ahead of the estimated delivery date!The cable itself is very high quality, and it also looks very nice too, I might also mention it (seems to) charge faster than what I remember my normal Apple cable doing before it - as per usual - broke.I can recommend this highly. The best price for quality as expected from Anker. I highly recommend both this cable and Anker.

I too probably like everyone else reading this review has lost or broken your original cord and could not bare the idea of paying a bajillion dollars for another directly from Apple and so began the epic search for an affordable replacement. As I wandered the field of mind numbing options, seriously what is there to say about a power cord, I purchased too many to name super duper cheep versions. Some upon arrival I thought would ruin my phone and I immediately threw away. Others that I dared to actually use, frayed at the ends so quickly that even the price per charge wasn’t worth paying for a replacement. Somehow I ended up at Anker. Reviews were good and the price signaled not made by small children without shoes in some far away place.Since that fately decision to buy I have never looked back. The cords last forever - some I think I’ve had for over 2 years (or whenever this style of charger started). Not one has ever frayed or become faulty. And let me be clear. I am not kind to my cords. I throw them in bags not neatly folded with a million other things. I jerk them out of bag with even less care tugging endlessly until unstuck. And the cords still survive. I think I now have 3 for at work and two different ones at home. Recommend to everyone!

My review is long overdue but here it goes....I have been looking for a long "certified" high quality alternative iPhone cable. I'm so happy that I tried this amazing cable and I'm so glad I never have to buy those expensive original iPhone cables ever again!It was a long search with bad purchases here and there. I've read many reviews of different cables and even those here on Amazon but despite some bad experiences by others (regarding the certification error) I took a leap of fate. The first cable that I received happend to give that error on my iPhone. I contacted Anker and there customer support was excelent... here's what they said:"Sorry to hear you're having problems with your lightning cable.From the circumstances you've described, I'm sorry to say that on this occasion it appears your cable is faulty. Please be assured that we take quality control very seriously and have numerous checks in place but regrettably, on occasion a faulty device can make it out."They kindly sent another cable which was flawless and after that I even ordered 5 more for relatives. None of them had any problems and this is now my 10th month that I've been using my Anker cable, it works perfectly and doesn't have any breakage/cracking or splitting. :)

The anker powerline cable is an amazing piece of kit to have. Personally i own 3, i have one in my bedroom, one in my college bag and a spare one. I personally love this cable, as it is nylon braided you don"t need to worry about it becoming tangled in your bag or on your floor, which for me is great. It also has some amazing durability to it. I have noticed that when using this it can take a beat in. I"ve ran over it with my desk chair, trod on it and dropped other items on it and nothing has happened to it and still works fine.This cable is not only durable and tangle free but has an amazing result when you charge a device with it. I have found that this cable charges my phone (IPhone 6s)in roughly 45mins, this only being if i"m not using it, roughly an hour if i"m on it. Which i have never had from any othe cable.It also comes in suitable sizes for different situations. Personally i chose to purchase the 6ft ones and i find it amazing. I would like anker to maybe bring out more colours than just red but that is the only fault i can think of with it.I would recommend purchaseing the anker w port usb charging plug as well to get the fastest charge to your device.

Brought 2 of these 6 months ago because not had much luck with other brands so was hoping these would give my faith back in finding a good charging lead. Well the 1st one lasted for 4 months not as long as I would of hoped but a improvement on other brands so we did a farewell goodbye to Mr lead no1 and opened up the box of Mr lead no2 but Mr No2 lead didn’t hold out quite so long ? I still think these are a good charging lead abd have been a trusted friend over the last months and have lasted longer then my previous brands used but I’m afraid we have to say goodbye to my last trusted friend lead no2 and will now have to look for another trusted friend maybe they have some brothers and sistersout there somewhere that will give me a few more month at being a faithful friend.UPDATE : Anker contacted me by email and offered to replace both my charger leads with their more updates ones, received them within a few days but yet to try them out. Very good customer service you don’t get many companies do this so definitely worth trying their products as you have a peace of mind they will help you if any problems should happen....thank you Anker

Just what I needed. I replaced a similar cable (different brand) that had stopped working with this one, its very useful being so long, the shorter cables that come with the iPhones tend to split very easily, but these are strong and good value for money.Edited! 16/6/18. Cable is now intermittently working. I plug it in and it’s pot luck whether it charges or not. If it does charge then it’s ok but sometimes it keeps stopping and starting so my phone is either constantly buzzing or making the charging connection sound. Not great when it’s next to my bed and I’m trying to sleep.Edited 25/6/18. After editing my review Anker immediately got in touch with me and offered an upgraded replacement.The replacement arrived today and I must say the new cable looks and feels a better quality and looks like it may address some issues that happened in the old style cable. Customer Service at its very best.Now had chance to use the upgraded replacement- very good, sturdy and works well. Bonus is it comes in a little carrying case which the cable goes into nicely - helped when packing it away for an overnight road trip!

Works off and on, not a reliable charger for my sister. Will be looking to return, Anker has a great policy.UPDATE: as soon as I wrote the above review, Anker got in touch and sent me two replacements (as i bought two of the above product) from their 'Powerline' line, and have also sent me the new Powerline+ usb charger. both of which are amazing, and i've never had any trouble with the Powerline charger, which i've had since January. I definitely prefer it over any other charger lines i've used in the past and it's definitely better than the Apple one, the line itself is really thick, covered in hard plastic (as opposed to what the Apple ones are covered in)so its really durable and sturdy; i never have to worry about it bending or the line disconnecting and tearing because of how well it's been made. If i ever happen to lose this charger, I will definitely be replacing it. Anger has great products!!I still have this charger line, but in Black, which i bought before i purchased the gold one, and its still working to this day, but i'd still recommend the Powerline chargers.

Best cable I have bought in yearsPROS:* the length makes a huge difference, I often have to use my iPad while it’s charging. The length means I don’t need to sit near the plug, or use it at a weird angle on my desk.* it hasn’t worn at the point nearest the connection to the iPad, like my previous cords all have (both Apple and cheaper versions, 5 in total)* zero connectivity problems. Absolutely zero. All the other non-Apple ones have been tempermental which I put up with because of the cheaper price. I would have to wiggle them a certain way, or flip the side that faced front etc. To get them to work sometimes. This one doesn’t have that problem at all. And I’ve been using it solidly for over 4 months.* doesn’t get hot,like all the other ones did, and that used to freak me out in case it was a fire hazard. It must be the threading around the wires. Whatever it is, it works. It doesn’t even get warm.CONS* none! Seriously. Wish I’d found this one years ago. Would have saved me a fortune on replacements. Hope this review serves to do that for you!

I have bought 5 Lightning cables from Anker in the past after reading good reviews. I was fed up of Apple Cables fraying and breaking after only a few weeks use. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of cable Anker offers, especially when you consider the fact that they are cheaper than the genuine Apple cables.One of the cables stopped working after a number of weeks, which was disappointing to say the least. I emailed Anker letting them know that one of my cables had stopped working and I can honestly say they have one of the best customer service departments I've ever dealt with. They were quick to apologise for the inconvenience caused, and after confirming my shipping address,serial number and order number with them they had a new one on the way to me (completely free of charge).Anker not only provides great products, but they also provide great customer service. Any problems you have with your product will be dealt with swiftly without any of the hassle you'd get from most companies.I'll definitely be purchasing from Anker again.

UPDATED 04/03/16I have been sent out four white cables to replace these nylon leads as a result of this review. I specifically bought the nylon covered cables because of previous failures with 'normal' coated cables hoping they would last longer. Have added another twos star for customer service. At least Anker are trying and are conscientious with their product. Perhaps I got a faulty batch. Digging them out to send in the batch numbers for investigation.UPDATED 07/02/16Have bought six of these in total, specifically to lessen chance of unintended abuse by constantly plugging/unplugging and transport from here to work, to have one permanently in the car, have one in each room & at work.I'm down to two 'usable'cables now, the others have all just stopped working. Not happy, given the cost and the build. The woven cables and length of lead raised my hope for quality.Does exactly what it's supposed to do. Have bought several to stop the rows. More colour ways would cut them right out as we'd know exactly who owns which lead!

Anker has now honoured their warranty and delivered two replacement cables as per my request. Excellent customer service and after 5 days of use the cables appear to be working fine. I will update here if I have any further issues, but have now amended by review to 5 stars for Anker's customer service policy.----- OLD REVIEW BELOW -----Cable has stopped working after only 10 weeks of use - I purchased this cable as a replacement for my Apple provided one as this was longer and looked well-made in comparison - Unfortunately it doesn't charge and causes my phone to repeatedly charge on and off or not charge at all. Have tried it with other Apple devices and the same thing occurs. I actually bought two cables,one in June 2016 and one last month for my mother. Both have failed around the same time.There is no visible fraying or marks to the cable, they just don't charge or stop charging at the slightest movement.I would appreciate replacement with working cables or refund please as I have two non-working cables here! Thank you.

Great while they work, but they sadly don't last. I have purchased quite a few of these over the years, and pretty much all of them failed within a couple of years - refusing to charge and making my iPhone say "Accessory may not be supported" (and yes, I've tried them in many different sockets and plugs...). Customer service has been good, they have replaced most of them, even if slightly out of warranty. However, the latest failure (which was already a replacement) they will not replace - which is fair as it is 3 or 4 months out of warranty... but then you'd hope that these things last longer than 18 months/2 years!! I'll probably still order another one since I haven't found better cables yet,but I'm slightly grumpy about the fact that they don't last that long. Also, I've been supplying serial numbers of the faulty cables for years, I do wonder if any work is actually being done to improve the quality...***Edit - I've just seen that there are now newer versions that come with a lifetime guarantee - those might be better value!
