Initially thought this was a good purchase and charged as I would have expected. However, after only two month of careful use (and with not external sign of any damage) it has simply stopped working! Beginning to think it is impossible to get a lightning cable that lasts more than 2 to 3 months. Can't recommend unfortunately.Updated 5th Jan -As you can see above, I did not ask Anker for a refund or return...I just accepted it was faulty and moved on. I was therefore delighted to receive an e-mail from Joanna at Anker stating how dissapointed they were to hear of the fault and would I like a replacement cable, free of charge. I was also offered a high spec cable if I wanted, again at no cost, which I accepted and the new cable arrived within 2 days. This is where the 5 stars comes in. The number of cables companies like Anker manufacture means, that no matter how good your QC, faults will occur. Whilst this is annoying for the consumer, it is how a company deals with these issues that determines the overall customer experience. This is where Anker excelled and fully deserve a 5 star. Yes, the cable did fail after 6 weeks (the other one I ordered is going strong) but if they replace that cable, FOC, what do I really have to complain about? Excellent customer service, highly recomended and I will certainly look to buy there prouct in the future.....well done Anker.

Not too sure about this one. There is no doubt that this product is very well made. The braided cable is robust and I can't say anything negative about the manufacturing of this cable. There is also no doubt that this charges very quickly. It is at least twice as quick than the standard Apple cable. Where is do have doubts is the amount of time that the freshly charged battery takes to discharge. I don't know anything about the inner workings of the phone, the battery or the cable so can't see a logical reason why the charged battery so drain so quickly and I don't know if it is doing any damage to the phone battery itself. As you know the iPhone doesn't have a separate battery so once its gone it gone and I am concerned that the continual use of this cable might be shortening the life of my iPhone. I have charged it with the standard Apple cable in between using the Anker cable and it seems that the charge does last longer. Hence my hesitation in giving this 5 stars. If I needed a quick charge then yes this does do the job but if someone could educate me in why I am seeing the results that I see then I might reconsider the rating if there is no risk or conversely, I might reduce the stars given. I am an lover of admirer of Anker products in general but I don't like the uncertainty with this product.

Like many others I bought this cable to replace an aging official Apple cable. Having bought many Anker products before I knew the quality for the price you pay in most cases is excellent, this cable was no different.I purchased this cable specifically to be used in the car to charge my device while in a cradle. The nylon construction of the cable allows to be hold its shape and is extremely pliable, which is great when you want the excess cable hidden either behind or under the stereo. The cables feels 'premium' in comparison to rival products, the aluminium points for the lightning and usb connectors giving a strong and reassuring feel to the cable. It is Apple MFi certified which is a licencing programme for hardware peripherals allowing it to display 'made for iPhone' so you can use this without any compatibility worries. With a lifetime guarantee included this should alleviate any longevity worries you might have.Like all Anker products the cable comes in minimal and professional looking packaging. While I purchased the 3ft version I've been impressed with the quality and will be looking to replace my other cables with the Anker range.

I needed a strong cable after ripping 2 previous Apple Lightning cables with no mercy. I got this one from Anker and it has been sufficient. It's great for the price, the cable is braided tightly and there's no chance of it tearing anytime soon, and there's a velcro tie to keep the wires together during travel which I absolutely love. The velcro doesn't poke any other material a lot as it rather fine and soft. Overall, it just feels premium. In terms of performance, it has slipped. If I am using my iPad whilst charging it up, I need to put the brightness down or cut some apps otherwise the charge actually goes down even though it says that it is giving more battery juice.I never had this problem with the first-party cable so I think the problem might root from the amount of electricity the wires transfer at certain speeds.Furthermore, the velcro does tend to fall off when it unties itself. So all in all, this would be great to charge your phone overnight or when you're not using it which can be irritating. I feel that the cable being from Anker lured me into buying this.

I bought this product in late December 2015 and it has recently stopped working. I really like the look of the cable and up until now it has been fine, so i'm disappointed! I have barely travelled with the cable so its not like it's been wound up, or shoved in bags, etc., for it to become damaged and I am the only person who uses it, to charge my iPhone 6. So I think it's of pretty poor quality to stop working so quickly. That said, it wasn't very expensive so i'm not too upset. If you do travel a lot and take your charger around with you, I'd suggest investing in something else that might last longer.UPDATE 11MAY16: Anker read this review and informed me that they thought my cable was faulty. They posted me out a new cable within a couple of days and so far it's working perfectly (although i'll see how it is in a few months!). Their customer service has been excellent, I can't fault it. I didn't write this review aiming for a new cable but they posted a new one without hesitation and apologised profusely. I've never had an issue with any other Anker products.

I’ve bought a million cables over the years and most often went for the cheapest. I’ve learnt that that is a poor choice. They are often cheaply made, charge very slowly, some don’t transfer data, they fall out of the socket too easily and generally don’t work very well. And with an iPhone, the cheaper cables often throw up error messages as being not supported. Which then means I have to buy another. The great thing about this cable, apart from that it looks and feels well made, is that it works. It charges fast, I don’t get ‘unsupported’ messages and once plugged in, it stays in. I like the feel of the cable covering, it feels much more robust than the plastic ones but if you ever did need customer service, they are brilliant. As usual, packaging is top notch.I was supplied this cable as a sample for test and evaluation, but I can guarantee that my review is totally fair and honest. This is a great quality, good value cable and one of those you buy just once. It’s made by Anker, and from my experience, that says it all. Excellent.

I had high hopes for this cable given the warranty of 18 months and the positive reviews. However after 6 months of use the cable has become practically unusable and very unreliable. The cable is not damaged however it iis slightly fraying at the lightning cable end and if it is bend to even a slight degree then the charge cuts out. I notice that at the bottom of the description it states that it 'This Micro USB cable does NOT fit iPhones, iPads and other Apple products' - not sure what that is about given the title of the product! Pretty sure it did not say that when I purchased the cable.Update: April 2016I was contacted by Anker customer service and asked if I would accept a replacement for my faulty cable - I accepted the replacement and I am pease to report it is working well. This is not my only Anker product I have and so far it is the only one that has failed so I feel my confidence in their products has been restored. Anker have first class customer service and proactively contacted me to resolve the issue.

I got this cable a couple/few weeks ago so I dont yet know the long durability of this product but as it is a product from anger, I expect quality. In he time I've had this product it has shown no wear or tear on either end of connectors as they are metal reinforced and and high quality Nilon fibre braided wire. This cable also is obviously an apple MFI certified cable so it is made for any apple device and you should expect to get full Apple speeds and/or faster as the cable is of very high quality and looks like it'll take a beating before any wear is shown. The price for this product is spot on as quality fused with Apple speeds, you can't get any better as its about 50% cheaper than Apple cables but still have been certified and the quality will not rip or year at the Lightning connector after a few weeks like the Apple ones.Overall I strongly recommend this product from Anker and rate the full 5 stars as its all worth it.

Updated Review:Within 48 hours of posting a negative review, Anker contacted me. And by the end of the week, I had received a replacement cable for free. I'm very happy with this service and fingers crossed that the problem doesn't recur.Old Review :I bought 4 cables for 2 of us. Two 6 foot ones and two 3 foot ones. We are using the 6 foot cables at home in a fixed location and the 3 foot cables are in our bags with our battery banks. While 3 of the cables are working fine. this particular 3 ft cable (white) has been constantly giving trouble for the last 2 weeks (it worked fine for 4 weeks) Now it says "accessory not recognised". I specifically bought this brand,so I wouldn't have a problem with the iphone not recognising a cable. (Anker is an iphone approved accessory provider)Its quite frustrating and now I'm waiting for the other 3 cables to give me the same problem too.

I recently purchased an iPhone 6s and was looking for an additional charging cable. I was reluctant to purchase an Apple cable at £15.00 but still wanted a good quality cable and not a cheap unbranded cable which has no guarantee of safety or reliability. I read a number of reviews of different cables and knew about the Anker brand. I chose this cable as it had other positive reviews.I received the cable very quickly and it was well packaged. The cable itself is good quality and is a sturdier product than the charging cable I received with the iPhone. The cable fits perfectly like the apple cable and does what I expected it to do. I have been using the cable for about a week and I am impressed with the quality of it.I have had no problems and don't expect any.If you are looking for a lightning cable for your apple products, look no further and buy this cable!

Probably one of the best alternative USB Cables I've bought for charting my iPad, because they are physically really durable. I've been sick of buying cables which break or stop working within a month or two from purchase and cables that break easily. After using one of these cables for about a month, I decided to get another one.A caveat to the above is that the first cable I bought decided to stop working about 4 months into using it daily. The second cable also gave up about 4 months as well. But on both occasions, I emailed the Anker support team and they responded swiftly to my messages, honouring the one year warrantees each time and sent me a replacement for free within a week after my first email.Only time will tell whether these replacement cables would stop working again, but the fantastic customer service definitely made up for this.

EDIT: Anker eventually got in touch with me following my initial review below. Their RMA service was excellent to use and they issued a replacement on a next day delivery service. The replacement has been working without fault so I have upped my rating to reflect my experience. The cables have a great premium feel to them and I would recommend them to friends/family.To look at, probably the best cable I've ever bought. However, in terms of actually working, this has been the single worst. Had issues right from the off syncing to any devices but charging seemed to work OK. A few weeks down the line and I now consistently get "This accessory may not be supported".Have contacted Anker directly to request a replacement but still awaiting a response three days on. Feels a complete waste of money at this point.

Edit: Anker think they can affect my review with excellent customer service? They would be right. I was happy enough to glue the perfectly functional cable back together, Anker instead sent an upgrade as a replacement. So while my original review was accurate, Anker cables are great and I was unlucky to get a badly glued one, I still would only by Anker due to their customer service policy and (normally) exceptional quality. This a nice braided cable. Looks really nice and have aluminium USB and lightening plugs. Includes a "velcro" cable tie.I have bought multiple Anker cables in the passed with no issue, however the aluminium sleeve on the lighting cable cam away almost immediately,it was apparent not glued effectively. A little epoxy and it was fine, the cable itself has always worked with no issue.

I have three cables from Anker. 2 3ft ones and 1 6ft one.Thee cables feel robust. Their braided finish helps prevent tight bends that can fatigue the wires inside. Though the braiding does mean that the cables feel stiffer than stock Apple cables. The collars for the cable as it enters the plugs seem to yield sufficiently to help reduce tight bends there. The collar also gives a bit of extra material to grip the lightning connector with. The 6ft cable stopped working after a couple of weeks of normal use. First with a message on the iPhone along the lines of 'this accessory does not support charging'. Then it just stopped working. After mentioning this in an updated review,Anker got in touch and offered an immediate replacement. EXCELLENT customer service, hence the updated review.

Excellent customer service and the distinctive nylon braiding means no one can confuse my charger for theirs. My first cable stopped working after two months but I left a review (see below) and a replacement was immediately dispatched.*I bought an Anker USB charger cable for my iPhone 5c on 5 August 2015. Over the last few days, I'd noticed it had become increasingly ineffective - I've had to place my phone at specific angles in order for it to charge. Last night it suddenly just stopped charging, no matter how many different ways I tried to plug it in. I'll be getting in contact with Anker shortly and I'm sure they'll be happy to replace my cable,at which point I will change my rating from one star.*
