Well made adapter, not the cheapest but seems well engineered - only time will tell how long it lasts. I'm using it with a 2015 Retina MacBook and so far it's handled everything I've tried, including; Connecting to a Nikon D600, connecting to and powering a WD My Passport HDD, assorted memory sticks, downloading photos from iPhone 5 and syncing/charging Kobo e-reader. I bought the "space grey" colour, and it's not a bad match for the MacBook (not exactly the same, but honestly it's close enough!).Shame it doesn't come with some kind of small case or pouch, so it'd be less likely to scratch anything it's stored/carried with (it is hard aluminium with crisp edges - definitely don't chuck it in the same sleeve as your laptop).Without a case, or anywhere to attach a tether, I can see it easily getting lost. You can get plastic adapters cheaper than this, but I'd seen good reviews of this one and it seemed worth treating myself to something decent. No regrets so far. I will update this review if there are any long term problems that appear.I bought this myself, with my own hard-earned cash, and did NOT receive any kind of discount or freebie for writing this review (seriously, I feel I should mention that - 90% of the reviews I've read recently on electronics accessories seem to be sponsored, a disappointing trend).[UPDATE] I've been using this for about a month now, and I started feeling a bit guilty about giving it 4 stars. I mean, it does everything it says it would, and does it well. So I've upgraded the rating to 5 stars. The only reason for withholding a star in the first place was the lack of a storage pouch, clip or lanyard - anything to stop it getting lost and/or rattling around loose in a bag. Hopefully Nonda will include this sometime in the future. A simple silicon rubber "bung" that plugged into the USB-A end, with a loop on it for a lanyard or clip would be all that's needed, and surely wouldn't cost much to manufacture in large quantities (if I had any Sugru I'd be tempted to try and make my own!).

Firm fixing - Once plugged in this connector is not going to fall out. Easier to remove Excaliber from the stone that disconnecting this from a Macbook Pro. On the upside it is not going to fall off and break the connection.Having used this for some months now I can say I am more than happy with my purchase. still a firm connection and not going to easily get knocked out.Since leaving this review I have ordered the 2 pack from Nonda with a discounted offer from them. I am slightly baffled as to why the two adapters that arrived are quite different from the one I had been supplied with before. Firstly, these are slightly longer. I have no problem with that. They come with tactile grips on the edges for easier insertion and removal. I would have preferred the grips to have been along the top and bottom faces, as that is the way I grip the adapters, especially if I have something else attached alongside. I am on a Macbook Pro with 2 x USB-C ports either side. On that issue, these adapters are just a tad too wide to permit both adapters to be used side by side at the same time. The new 2xpack does not have the Nonda logo engraved anywhere on the adapter - Why? Further, it seems they have dropped the LED light, which was always a useful addition for two reasons: a) to let the user know that the adapter was properly inserted and connecting with the Mac and b) to let you know what way was up for correct insertion of the USB plug/cable. The biggest dissapointment is that the colour of the adapters is a much darker grey than previously supplied and by no means matches the space grey of the Macbook Pro. All of these things make me question if this is a Nonda manufactured product? If it is then I would be interested to know the thinking behind these changes. That all said, the adapter appears to be working as expected. Although I have only used one of the adapters once.

On the pros side i love the design - they are obviously ment to be used with a macbook pro 2016 and they completely blend with the computer, not forming any visual distraction by themselves. I've received them just today, but already put some time of usage to them and they do what they should. In addition, i have to say i love the build quality. They feel great in hand and actually even slightly robust. On the other hand, i wish they would fit better in the port, with a tighter squeeze. I suppose it does not cause any harm (at least not to the computer) that they slightly press downwards against the port, but still, the wiggle they have feels a bit distracting. I am also not a fan of the led...No big deal, but it would be simpler to do without it, it has absolutely no purpose (at least for me) and its just not necessary (solution is to turn them on the other side, so this is actually not really a problem). The biggest one however is that at least with 2016 mbp 15 inch, you cant put two of those next to each other - same as if you wanted insert an usb C flash drive, next to it, you are out of luck. Stock charging cable from Apple is the maximum size you can put next to this bad boy.Overall the product is as described and fullfills the purpose.

This is a lovely product. Incredibly well made - very similar to Apple's own standards. The metal is almost indistinguishable from the metal of my MacBook Pro, Space Grey. The connection is snug and the thing has a pretty small white LED once you have plugged it in. Please see the photo of how the connection and colour appear next to the charger cable. Yes, you can't fit two of these little things in, but you would have to be a bit dumb to think you could!Every USB device I have connected works perfectly. As I use my MBP for design, a graphics tablet, printer, scanner, and other peripherals have no lag and it is as if you are plugging your device straight into your laptop.I have a hard drive that I use for my Time Machine backups and the speed is just as quick thanks to the incredible design and engineering that has gone into this.As this thing is small you are likely to misplace it, so I would recommend getting a couple - at the current price, it's easy to justify. Please do let me know if you found this review helpful.

IMPORTANT:It didn't work for me at first. I would've rated it 1 star if it stayed that way. It would connect very loosely and had to be positioned very carefully to get the light to come on and for it to work. DON'T PANIC! The solution is:Push it in really hard until you hear quite a loud click. Now mine stays in with a perfect connection! A comment on one of the other reviews from the manufacturer confirms that this is an issue inherent in their design. I just hope I haven't damaged the one and only USB-C port on my MacBook by doing this. Now, I really like it. Nice cold metal finish. One of the most compact USB-C adapters. Seems to work just fine. This was Bought on the Black Friday sale for fiver, good deal I think compared with Apple's official one which has a cord making it intrusive. My only criticism would be that there's no way to turn off the LED light, not that it's excessively bright. Now I'm going to look for one that lets me charge as well as connect a USB. Any suggestions?

Overall the product is really good. It has worked perfectly with any device I have connected it with and that includes external HDDs that have transferred a lot of data. I don't use these adapters all the time - mostly with external HDDs to backup data from time to time. The build quality looked excellent with the small form factor and sleek design. After around a year, one of the adapters I purchased started to fall apart. When removing from my MacBook Pro, the casing started to detach from the internal unit. A firm push fixed the problem and joined the case and internal unit back together. Today, both parts completely detached from one another. Its unfortunate because the adapters are not used a great deal so I was hoping to get a longer run with them. The other adapter looks fine so perhaps just an unlucky adapter. I would buy again because the size and design/colour looks great and they were reliable when used.

This product looks lovely and at first, I thought it worked perfectly, but unfortunately it does not. This USB converter does not work with my mouse or external hard drives. When I connect it to my external hard drives it messes up my internet connection. When I connected the converter to my mouse my mouse did not work. The laptop did not recognize that there was a USB connected. After a long conversation with the apple support staff I have realized that I will have to stick with Apple brand converters. I am really disappointed I wasted my money and time with converters that only work for charging my phone. It is essential for me to have a converter for external hard drives and my mouse.I would like a refund please. It is also too wide. I have 4 thunderbolt 3 ports (2 on either side). When this is stuck in one port it prevents you from using the one beside it because it's so wide.

The world's smallest USB C adapter in matching space grey. The design is beautiful. Matches the new Macbook colours perfectly and is very simple to use. Plug and Play. Simply the best adapter if you require a single usb port for your new Macbook as it takes the minimum amount of space with no cables dangling about. In terms of compatiblity, I've tested a bunch of usb products and it worked with every single one with out fail. The only fault i can think of is that it hangs out over your macbook, so you need to be careful not to knock it when moving your laptop around as not to damage your USB-C port on your new Macbook.I will update the review if i find any serious faults, but for now,its a perfect accessory for the new MacbookPlease see the photos attached and leave a comment or thumbs up if this review was helpful :)

The nonda USB-C to USB-A 3.0 adapter was delivered as expected and comes in neat but upmarket packaging, just like the adapter. The only little complaint would be that the packaging has some plastic that is not currently recycled :-(The adapter is for my new MacBook Pro as I have legacy USB-A devices that I still want to use. The adapter is well made with an aluminium case that was made to go with my MacBook Pro. It has a small white, but easily visible, LED that indicates that it is on and working. Being small it is easy to carry around. It is early days but there is a 3 year warranty for the adapter which is reassuring (although I hope I do not have to use it!).nonda are a new name to me but if all their products are as good quality as my USB-C to USB-A adapter then I will certainly buy from them again.

The adapter works well with my iPad Pro 2018.It is small, very well built and it performs as it should. I can't say anything bad about this item.Compared to the Apple equivalent:- The Apple version costs roughly double the Nonda- The Apple version is made of plastic. Nonda is made of metal (3 available colours)- The Apple version offers no visual feedback. Nonda has a small LED that shows when it is powered- The Apple version is is made of two pieces with a wire that connects them. Nonda is a single small piece.Even with all the cool-factor that Apple tries (and often fails) to inject in its products, I can't see any good reason to buy the Apple version.P.S. I have no links with the producer or the seller.I paid the full price for the item without receiving anything more than what I paid for.

This is a beautiful little adaptor - the colour and texture is a perfect match for my MacBook. The size is small and the adaptor has a nice weight and balance that give it a premium feel.I hadn't realised when purchased that there is a small, white LED on the adaptor that is lit whenever it's connected to the computer. But being USB-C I just turned the adaptor over and now the LED points at my desk instead of me.Mine sits perfectly against my MacBook and I've had no issues with it moving or falling out. I think USB-C just needs a firmer push than normal USB, the Apple connector for the power is the same.I've also used it to connect my Lightning cable to my MacBook USB-C charger to charge myiPhone - no more carrying multiple chargers when travelling.

Probably on of the most important gadgets you need to have when you buy a MacBook.Works like a treat however a couple of important notes:- there is a little light indicator that remained lit up even when I closed my MacBook - it reminded lit for 5 minutes until I remove the unit from the MacBook.- best to plug your usb cables or whatever you need (like I have with the usb flash drive) into the product FIRST and then attach it to the MacBook because it requires some force. The same goes when removing your usb units from the item.- there is a small gap between the unit and the floor making it very easy to potentially bend the usb-c connection.Other than that - it looks great and has a fairprice.

I am a professional photographer who works to tight deadlines. As such fast data transfer speeds are essential. Having bought the new MacBook Pro, discovered that despite good reviews, most the USB cables available on Amazon, by Companies are utter rubbish. I won't name names, but I have bought 4 cables from 3 manufacturers, all of which have had to be sent back, with transfer speeds that of USB 2 or slower. I am happy to say that this Adapter is as fast as apples, and far more portable as well. USB-C is still very new, and there area lot of companies out there putting out rubbish. This NoNDA adapter is well made, compact and most importantly, it works as advertised. Highly recommended!

I mean it is what it is, a USB-C adaptor, in my case for a MacBook Pro. Small and sturdy, clicks into the port with a satisfying click and matches the body of the laptop nicely. Allows me to connect the occasional USB3 type device when needed. The only picky element is that once it's in there is quite a bit of movement in it, none of the items I plug in don't have any movement, however, this has it in abundance by comparison. That said it's not for playing with, just plug in and leave.A little bit of heat from it when plugged in for a while, nothing to be concerned about though.Bottom line, if you just want a single adaptor that matches your space grey device then this is the one.

Great item. Works a treat. Sadly it will not fit properly in my Pixel C if it's in the case I bought for it (the tablet that is). Out of the case there's no problem - the USB-A mini adapter fits very snugly and all is well. Put the tablet in the case I bought for it, and there's no way the adapter will go far enough in to function. I don't know if this is a problem with other cases for the Pixel C, but it certainly is with the one I bought - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B019TOM5PU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. So. To be clear. The adapter is great, the case is great, but when my Pixel C is in its case, the adapter won't go far enough in to function. Shame.
