The Anker PowerLine+ II Lightning Cable (6ft) is a brilliant cable. The connections are secure and the cable is strong. I love the pouch it comes in, makes it a vastly better option to transport around without tangled wires. The case is compact and small enough to fit in a pocket. I keep wires in my work bag and as many will know, when you have a few different devices, the cables become a mess. Not anymore. One extra thing I like about the pouch is that it has two zips which means you can leave the cable in the pouch and make it a short cable or a long one by simple adjustment. Cool or what? This cable is not thin, in fact it is quite beefy for a cable. But for me that also spells quality - there is lots of stuff in there to make it strong and reliable, and it is.To say the cable is very high specification is an understatement. Some say astronauts use them to tether themselves to the space station when they go on space walks, others say they use them to tow trucks another that a tug boat captain used this very cable to tow the Queen Mary 2 into port - all on his own, and just one cable. I have no direct evidence to say any of these things are true, but I can feel it is strong. In fact it claims to be able to hold 175lbs in weight, that's nearly 80kg or over 12 stone, which is probably the weight of the Queen Mary 2.I love the colours, it helps me not forget to leave it around. And I love the weave, it just feels that much more premium.I have had a variety of cables over the years and one of the things that really bugs me is the charging speed. One would imagine they are just cables and all do the same thing, but they don't. A high quality cable like this charges so very much faster than a cheap one that when you first experience it, it blows you away how fast it goes. This is one to last a lifetime, or maybe to pass on to your descendents for generations to come. Buy cheap, buy twice (in this case buy 30 times), as the saying goes, or buy right, buy once and keep forever. This is not the cheapest cable but in my experience, it is the best one ever and is definitely value for money over the longer term and without the hassle of cables breaking or connections going kaput when you least need it. The case is the icing on the cake, it makes it so very much more practical. The icing on the icing is the customer service. Only used it once but it was immediate and hassle free.UPDATE: My wife has just claimed this cable under Executive Privilege - gutted.

Right from the offset I was impressed by the lightly embossed box in which it arrived, it brought back memories of the old iPhone boxes that I’ve got set aside in a cupboard. Don’t know if that makes me a collector or hoarder though.Inside there was a new zipped travel case and the usual small information booklet. Ofcourse the cable was neatly located inside the case and having 2 zips means that when travelling you can keep most of the lead held within the case and not have all 6 foot sprawled across the table. It does also come with a Velcro strap to keep it in a tidy loop. The case itself is not solid as a rock so when placed inside pocket doesn’t feel uncomfortable. The previous model had come with a fold over pouch which I must admit I hardly ever used, but I can see myself bringing this case with me every time I travel.I have several (3ft and 6ft variants) of the original Powerline+ cables as I have them in both offices, car, different rooms in house, travel case etc and I must say I love the new colour coded aluminium alloy connectors. While I dont mind the original black connectors on the previous model I feel like this has a more premium feel to it. Added to this, is the thicker two tone braided weave and the longer hard rubber shield (giving a reported 30000 bends lifespan) you have a product that is built to last and worth every penny.I have had the misfortune of buying OEM cables in the past and they only last a couple of months before fraying and stop working. So to find a cable that is stronger, cheaper and lasts longer then it is a no brainer as to which cable should be top of your list. It is also MFi certified so will be compatible with any Apple products that use lightning. Oh .... and it comes with a LIFETIME WARRANTY, which differs from their standard 18 month warranty - a clear sign of just how confident they are in this product. But if it does go wrong don’t worry as from previous experience the customer service is top notch.Anker do claim that this cable is of supporting a weight of upto 175lbs, and while I have no reason to doubt them, I never tested this out. Maybe I’ll save it for an emergency where I need to climb out the window I’ll combine it with the paracord survival bracelet I bought years ago “just incase” as I’m a bit heavier than 12 stone lolSo to sum it up stop looking around and add this to basket immediately.

So I actually have an Anker cable for both my iPhone (Work Phone) and for my Sony Z5 Xperia (Personal Phone) and annoyingly the iPhone version is better – strange comment but I will explain why below.First thing I noticed is that the iPhone cord came in this really nice little black box/pouch, which I’m a little gutted about as when I bought the same product for my android it only came in a cardboard box without any special carry pouch which is great for when travelling to make sure the cable is safe. The cable itself came with the recognisable Anker cable tidy which helps to keep the cable nicely wrapped (little things for me tend to go a long way)The two main concerns I have with these cables and I’m sure it is the same for many of you is [a]will it charge as well as the original cable? Seeing as though it’s designed by the company surely it’s the best? [b] Am I really going to get better value by being another brand just because its cheaper?[a] this one is an easy yes, the technology of phone charging is not a dark art that only one company can control and the fact the anker cable is so robust means that in the long term the cable will be less damaged and therefore charge the phone faster and be more reliable as time goes on (the health of a cable greatly impacts the time and quality of charging)[b] so I actually tried to see how good this cable could handle being abused, from bending the wire repeatedly at the point of the connector (which we all know is where apple cables usually tear) to hitting the connectors and even letting my nephew and niece (5 and 4 respectively) have a play around with the shiny red cable. It’s safe to say that the cable is still in immaculate condition and you couldn’t see any damage to the functionality with it working first time on charge attempts. (I will admit that they did slightly bend the lighting charge connector but I was able to bend it right back into shape)I haven’t gone into the cost of the cable in any great deal but the cost of an Apple iPhone original cable in the UK is around £20 for a 1 metre cable. The anker model on the other hand can be picked up from anker directly for £17 and at 1.9m gives you much more value and reliability for your money. They also have cheaper cable models that you can buy at as little as £6 which gives you more choice or longer cables, whatever you need most.

PowerLine+ II Lightning CableThe Ultra-Durable Cable That's Yours For LifeWhen it comes to iPhone/iPad/iPod charger cables (especially Lightning) cables, I don’t think anyone makes them as well as Anker. Even Apple's own cables shipped with their new devices are inferior compared to Anker in quality, durability and definitely in price. The longer cable is not everyone's cup of tea but I prefer them. They are even better if they come with some cable management as you get the best of both types. This can be a velcro strap to help keep the excess cable tidy or even a nice carrying pouch like you get with the PowerLine+ II.I've got a few cables from Anker and I have come up with the following comparisons and opinions.[Anker PowerLine+ Lightning Cable 1.8m (6ft)£7.99](https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0711B5XS2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_r0E.zb17ADS6W)Very reasonably priced, long, aramid fibre reinforced and double braided. 18-month warranty & 4.5* Rating on Amazon[Anker PowerLine II Lightning Cable 1.8m(6ft) £7.99] (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01N75EALQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_-sF.zbSNT4KCW)Another nicely priced long cable. Heavy duty aramid fibre reinforced. 18-month warranty & 5* Rating on AmazonAnker PowerLine+ II Lightning Cable 1.8m (6ft) £16.99](https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B071JR45HW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_X1E.zbK9KK15B)Built to withstand 30k bends. 5x that of the PowerLine+ and almost 3x the PowerLine II but also has a Lifetime Warranty & 5* Rating on Amazon[Apple 2m USB - Lightning Cable £29]Expensive and thinner cable which most owners have to replace within 12-24 months & 2.0 * Average Review on their own website. Here is a view of 3 cables. Notice the Apple cable that is less than 6 months old is already starting to show signs of wear. The grey PowerLine+ is is still in perfect condition. The newer MFI Certified Ultra durable PowerLine+ II Cable, although more expensive than it's predecessors is a lot stronger, comes in 4 lovely beautiful colours which extend to the connectors at both ends and also has a nice smooth feeling carry case which you can also fit your earphones in too. Plus, it comes with a hassle-free lifetime warranty meaning, this will be the last cable you EVER need to buy. It's a no-brainer.......

After upgrading my Anker Powerline+ Lightning Cable to a second generation I can honestly say it was worth it.Product:The second generation as you can see from the attached images come in a neat carrying case that tucks away the cable (you definitely need it with it being 6ft) allowing easy storage for keeping it in your coat or bag on a power intensive day. The cable is slightly thicker compared to it's predecessor allowing for further durability with it's nylon braided design. The Powerline II includes a hard rubber shield at the USB and lightning connector to minimise any tearing that causes cables to fail. The cable itself is a must purchase for any Apple iPhone or iPad owner,it's built to last compared to the OEM version which breaks after only a few months of usage. I have only owned this cable for a few days but I haven't had any issues and my old Powerline+ cable one year on, is still going strong with no signs of wear.Uses:The cable comes in various lengths but the 6ft allows you to charge the cable in the car, in the comfort of your living room or even at your desk in work without the constraints of the two metres of the Apple equivalent. I have found the 6ft to be a great length and with the new travel pounch you can simply charge your devices leaving the rest of the cable stored away by unzipping the two zips: which is a great idea. Thank you Anker! The MFI certified cable is compatible with all current Apple devices featuring the lightning connector: including the newly released iPhone X & 8Warranty:Anker states it is a cable for life, and that's a fact. On Anker products, you usually receive an 18 month no questions asked warranty, but they're so confident with the new Powerline+ II they're offering a lifetime warranty - What other company does that?Overall:I would highly recommend this product. Anker have simply done it again releasing a well-engineered product with the peace of mind attached to it with Ankers second to none customer service. The second generation cable is a great upgrade to the previous version with it's lifetime warranty, travel pouch and durability. It's the lightning cable everyone must have!

TL;DR - Anker makes the best cables in the world, they are now making a package which is No.1 in terms of overall functionality. The 6ft cable is the perfect length, the new case for the cable is second to none and always remember, never ever leave home without your PowerCore and PowerLine+ II cables kids!Anker makes the best charging cables for all of your mobile devices, this has been true since PL+ I and they have gone back to the drawing board, tweaked their current design and what we have before us now is a cable which is the no.1 lightning cable in the world, without a shadow of a doubt in my mind. All the reviews are talking about how great this cable is, and it truly is, BUT,no-one is talking about the new carrying case other than the odd passing remarks, perhaps they were not using Anker products when there wasn't even a carrying pouch/case, I was and had to wrap and stuff them into my bag then they went onto they went onto the grey folio style pouch for the PL+ I and the new one is superb and for my uses a lot better than before,I have attached a video to showcase the way I like to use my PL+ II with the new pouch on a daily basis and pictures so you can set it up in the same way. I do it like this because I do not like more than a cm of slack in the cable. Another reason I am very happy with the new pouch is, it has a much smaller surface area and as a result it does not take as much space in my backpack side pocket, which currently must hold my OG first rev. 15600 PowerCore (it wasn't even called PowerCore back then :D), Lightning Cable, USB-C cable and Micro-USB cable, the new pouch gives me the peace of mind nothing is being squashed or my bag being stretched too much and being damaged.10/10 across the board, this is a major GO.The embossed box is also a very nice touch, Anker once upon a time sent those brown boxes which were simple and had a paper wrap with the name of the product, this new box uses less material and is more stylish, on a scale of 1 to 10 this is a major GO for the environment, shoutout to Flossy Carter!

I like to call the Anker Powerline+ II the metal edition of lightning cables because I love the metal finish of the USB and lightning heads, the red metallic finish is what make the Powerline+ II such superior cable to other Anker cables and its competitors. Most importantly the cable much stronger than the previous generation of Powerline+ cables. Unlike competitor’s cables which tend to last no more a year, the Powerline+ II lightning cable has a 30,000 bends lifespan, which lasts 30 times longer than competitor cables. The wiring in the cable has four layers of protection, from metal to nylon, this gives the cable a tremendous amount of strength. If this is not enough the Powerline+ II comes with a great Anker black case to store your cable and prevent them from tangling. As always, the response time of the lightning cable is instant without any delays, this is due to 24-AWG and 30-AWG wires used in the cable and the fantastic infrastructure of the cable. It’s all these fantastic features of the Powerline+ II which gives a whole new definition of premium lightening cables at a great price. This cable is excellent value for money because it’s a great long-term investment because in most cases it cheaper than other branded cable, and it lasts a lifetime compared to them. If you are constantly frustrated with replacing your lightning cable due to breakages in the cable and the costs are building up, then you clearly haven’t tried Anker’s Powerline+ II cables. It’s true when they say once you go Anker you can’t turn back.As always to get an 18 months hassle free warranty with all Anker product and a very friendly customer service.

Everything about this cable screams quality. Firstly, I like that it comes with its own hard protective zip case. Not only does this protect the wire during shipping but it means I have somewhere to store it when I am not using it and/or travelling. This cable is made of braided nylon which not only looks much better but performs much better than the standard cable too. This cable does not tangle or get knotted and it’s definitely got rid of the turtle neck dilemma that has plagued Apple users, well...forever. The connections are solid and feel much more robust to me than the cable that came with my iPhone. The connectors are easier to handle for those of you with bigger fingers and also for those of us with long fancy nails.Everything about this cable feels much better built, it even sounds and feels smoother when you plug it in. I have used this cable on a variety of Apple devices for just over a week now and it charges flawlessly, quickly and reliably. Everything about it is just feels so much better designed and addresses all the issues I’ve ever had with charger wires for Apple devices. I can’t see me ever needing to buy another as it’s so well made but I would definitely buy again and would not hesitate to recommend it. Its almost double the length of a standard lightning cable and has a brilliant warranty. If you are looking to buy a lightning cable your search is over buy this one. This is the cable customers have the right to expect to find in the box when they purchase a high end smart phone.

Having used several different brands for replacement Apple cables I’m happy to have found Anker cables. All of the cables I’ve have purchased so far have out last all my apple original cables and without the yellowing/degrading outer sheath. This one will be no different. It charges my iPhone and iPad without issues or cable compatibility warnings, and with its MFI certification it should have no compatibility problems with future models. The cable is slightly thicker than the previous version, with a new connector and strain relief design which feels solid and both connections feel firm and secure. It also comes with a lifetime warranty, which, when paired with superb customer service this is a long lasting cable.I was originally worried about the nylon braid fraying or catching whilst taking it in and out of pockets/bags but have had no issues at all.The little carrying bag adds an extra level of protection, however the cable doesn't really need any.The range of lengths is also handy having purchased both a 3,6 and 10ft there’s one for all situations.Long enough to reach from behind a pc or couch or small enough if you just want a small cable to pop in your work bag.I’ve been using this 6ft in my car to charge my phone, the extra length helps with the cigarette socket being by the handbrake. It has been pulled a few times by accident and it still looks and works as new.As with all anker products, a perfect cable and a brilliant (and cheaper) replacement to Apple cables.

MUST BUY!!This cable does not disappoint. It is worth the money. I believe that anyone that owns an Apple device should have one of these cables. I use them for all my devices and I would never turn to another brand.Upon receiving my package, the presentation of this product was outstanding - from the small details on the outer packaging to the carrying case included. There is certainly a premium feel added to this product. The overall build quality of the cable itself is amazing. Braided cable with aluminium connectors with a rubberised feel to add grip. It is all these small touches that make this product brilliant. This cable will last forever and just to be sure there is a lifetime warranty. The length of this cable is ample coming in at 6ft. Excellent for people who don't have a power outlet nearby. This stylish cable will look great in all environments and the carrying case that is included is great for people who are on the go or travelling.I believe that a small light LED indicator light could be added to the connector to show the charging status of the device. This is only a thought but I think it would add another touch of quality.I would recommend this cable to anyone. I have never turned to another brand, I have always used Anker. Their customer service is excellent and will never disappoint. This is a MUST BUY!

Anker's brand new Powerline + II does not disappoint. When you thought cables could not get any better, Anker go out and release this. This is a great improvement over standard iPhone cables and i recommend everyone to get these. Firstly the presentation of the box and pouch is amazing and this adds a premium feel to the product. The box resembles an iPhone retail box. Secondly, the build quality is next to none. With LIFETIME WARRANTY included you can guarantee that this product will last you a long time and it will be really worth its price. The tips at each end are made of this strong material which holds the cable firmly meaning that it there will be a less chance of cable tear at theends.Fast charging capabilites are built into this cable which can be benefited hugely from the new iPhone 8 and X. I did also see a improvement in charging times when compared to my original iPhone cable,I would recommend purchasing the red colour as this makes it easy to find in tight situations such as in a car.The included pouch is very appreciated as this helps with taking this cable anywhere without the worry of it being caught or tangled in my bag. This cable is a must need for all iPhone users and i would recommend this to everyone.

Previous to receiving the powerline+ II, I was a regular user of the standard powerline. I used them as my daily lighting cable and have them dotted everywhere. After receiving the Powerline+ II I will not be going back to the standard cable however good they may be! The + feels a lot more premium and robust. There’s me thinking the original was far more robust than any other cable I had used yet. The finish on the + is very nice. The metal ends on the connectors. Also the braid cable which is a big advantage. Not to mention and included carry case. From someone who went through at least 2 Apple leads a year. I’m still to wait a year in after receiving the original powerline to fail on me.So who knows how long this powerline+ II will last me! All I can say is if your someone who usually isn’t willing to get anything other than Apple leads but is fed up of them constantly wearing. I would urge you to seriously invest in some anker cables. For the price of one Apple charging lead, you can pick up 2 anker ones and they’ll last you a heck of lot longer! All I can say is there’s no going back for me I will always be purchasing anker charging leads and especially the powerline+ after it’s premium feel and durability.

This cables packaging is a step-up from the previous anker packaging. The detailing on the box is an excellent touch and makes it seem more expensive than it actually is.Upon opening the box I was surprised to discover that the cable came with its own carry case which fits the cable perfectly. If you didn't want to use the carry case for your charging cable, then it can be used for your earpods, pen drives and headphones - Very handy for trying to find at the bottom of your bag. I think I'll be using mine for accessories as I keep the cable with my portable charger inside the mesh pouchThe cable colour is a luxurious red colour making it easy to find in low lighting. The cable itself is an upgrade compared to the first edition of the powerline+. The nylon braiding feels thicker and if possible, even more durable. Providing fluid movement, the cable will form to any position you're charging your phone inThe cable also comes with the standard velcro tab holder, which has also had an upgrade. Softer than previous versions, upon first impression you wouldn't think it was velcro, but it is and still has a strong hold despite its softer shell.

I have been a long time user of Anker cables and it’s gotten to the stage where I don’t even bother unwrapping the cables supplied with my tech, I just order the Anker cable.I must have 15-20 of these cables and have never managed to break one and neither has my daughter who has a habit of breaking usb cables. I originally bought this brand after seeing them reviewed on YouTube (Thaibox123) and had to get one to see if the claims were right and in this case they were. The cables are pretty much bulletproof and will take any amount of abuse, the apple usb cables I got with my €1200 wouldn’t last very long at all before perishing and becoming dangerous.Overall these are some of the best usb cables I have found and will last. The connectors are top class and really well attached to the cable and the cable itself is of a remount feel and construction. In reality the fact that the company offers a lifetime warranty says a lot and most don’t offer this unless they have something they know isn’t going to cause problems!!In short, forget about the cheap cables and buy these, you’ll save in the longterm. Remember buy cheap, pay twice.

Before I write this review, I need to make it clear that I have not been paid nor have I received any free goods to provide the review!I don't usually provide a straight from the box review, I prefer to use the goods for a while, to see how they fare. I purchased one of these 10-foot cables last Christmas (Albeit the mk1) for myself, and right from the start I could tell it was going to be good, just by the quality, It does exactly what it states in the advert and doesn't fray or fall apart. It arrived in a neat carry pouch and the data transfer/charging is pretty quick. Soon many other friends and family were asking to use the cable. A year later and the cable is still as good as the day I got it,unlike the cable supplied by Apple, or other cheap eBay cables. So this Christmas I bought 5 and the mkII is even better, the quality is even better and it now comes with a zip-up carrying case that keeps it neat and tidy when traveling.Needless to say, all the people who received these as gifts were very pleased!
