Since my first iPod touch I've purchased several brands of lightning cables from the trusty pound shop specials when in a fix on holiday, to Anker and Amazon Basics for home and work use (avoiding the higher cost of genuine Apple cables). While the pound shop specials and Amazon held up for a fair amount of time to make them a cost-effective solution I primarily have now used Anker for the past 2-3 years due to their durability, lack of issues with compatibility and 18 months warranty if things go awry without intervention from myself (such as cutting the cable, yep it's happened).The robustness of the cable is crazy and to show that Anker likes to put their money where their mouth is,they have increased the warranty but not by just a few months. No, they now guarantee this cable for life, yes LIFE. Now this could be truly the last cable you’ll ever need to buy. Cable has been tested to survive over 12000 bend cycles and can support a not so shabby weight of 80kg (yes 12 ½ stone in old money), should you feel the need to dangle on the end of the cord at the same time as charging your devices. On a more serious note, this makes it is highly unlikely you would break the cable (compared to some) by tripping over it while plugged into a wall socket or device, those would most likely be the ones to take the harder knock.Based on my past week's use I could not recommend this cable highly enough for those who want additional length without compromising on build quality and to truly never have to buy another replacement cable again!

My wife goes through cables like they are going out of fashion. It doesn't help that we usually end up buying cheap cables. We managed to get this at a local computer store, and it's been phenomenal. We paid a little more than the Amazon price :-(. Right on to the review:Build: Well constructed! very thick cable, which just means it's can either handle more power or will transfer at a higher data rate. I have noticed some of the more generic cables which were a lot thinner seemed to take forever to charge! All our iPhone cables seem to split or crack just at the end of the USB port, and thankfully, with the design, Anker have used this is not a problem. The photo shows both ends,and you can see the thick plastic being used to house the connectors. They have a little flex in them, so they bend a little. Also, the name of the company is embossed into the USB end of the cable which I think is a nice touch. I think it's pretty clear in one of the images.Price: We paid almost a tenner for ours, and the Amazon price is so much cheaper! We'll be placing the order from here next time. Especially as they have a 6ft cable, which is essential if you like to charge and use it. Our plugs are closer to the floor, the 3ft cable is OK, but not quite long enough.Data transfer: This is not something we can comment on. my wife has her sync setup over WiFi, so when the laptop connects, it gets to work. So the cable has never been used for this. Sorry...Conclusion: Great quality cable, would buy again, but perhaps go for the longer version.

When you purchase an Apple product there is a certain level of quality you come to expect, unfortunately for us militant Apple users we have came to terms with the supplied cables just not living up to the tasking job of being yanked multiple times a day from various angles.Enter the Anker PowerLine II Dura.I have been using this cable as my daily on the go charger for the best part of a month and I have to say i'm very impressed, it's looks and feel really matches the apple style.I have used various brands of cable over the past 7 generations of iPhone and have always found Anker cables to be consistent with quality, my Gray Anker Powerline 1 lightning cable has been my car charger for over a year,it has seen many drops and stretches but still works to this day 100%. Could not say the same for the Amazon Basics Lightning cable that lasted 4 months before fraying and charging intermittently.The packaging is on point and overall couldn't recommend another brand more, i have purchased numerous anger products form bluetooth speakers to portable usb chargers and it's safe to say they are all functioning as intended to this very day.I have included a photo to compare the Anker Powerline II with the included Apple cable and the current Amazon Basics cable.With this Anker Powerline II, cable fraying is to become a thing of the past!

Been using this cable for a few months, Straight away you can tell it feels so much better and stronger than the OEM cable sent by Apple. Had a much better fit into my wife's iPhone than the OEM cable too. Had been happy with the cable until recently. It's starting to show signs of failure :( the cable appears intact but it has become intermittent with its charging now. Moving the cable on the lightening connector side and the charge starts and stops... Upset and disappointed! I've seen from other reviews that Anker have good customer service and support so let's hope they live up to their reputation this time!UPDATE - 15.9.19After submitting my previous review regarding the issues I had faced with my initial purchase,Anker direct contacted me and were very helpful in arranging a free replacement for the defective cable. Very quick and efficient customer service and I will not hesitate to buy from them again. The new cable has been working very good and as previously stated seem much better than the standard OEM cable. Even if I do have issues... I know that the support team at Anker will look after me. Much appreciated and very happy! Thanks Anker :)

After being through many cables or having them fail after a couple of months use, this one is a refreshing change. Very well constructed and feels solidly built. It also charges very quickly (cheaper cables charge very slowly!)The connectors at both ends feel well protected and well built. The lightning connection isn't too big to be able to fit into my phone case either (Spigen case). The cable is well packaged when sent and is also provided with a very handy velcro cable management tie. Small details like this really stand this cable apart from others on the market.I have also had dealings with their customer support department with a previous product and cant rate them highly enough.Arranged a replacement item straight away with no arguing. Whilst this cable may be a couple of quid more money i believe this is worth it. Fast charging speeds, very solidly built, great customer service and it will easily outlast other cheaper cables i've had. Makes this a bit of a bargain!

This is a very well constructed cable, measuring exactly 93.5cm (tip to tip), has USB at one end with the Anker name on one side of the casing, whilst the other end is the lightning connector.Snow white colour, rubber reinforced casings and a cable diameter of c.3.5mm. Neither the thinnest or thickest cable, but feels extremely well constructed whilst remaining flexible. It is also extremely strong. Much stronger than numerous other cables I have encountered. It is definitely feels like its designed to last and withstand the rigours of pulling, bending and anything else you do with charging cables.Precise fitting connections and excellent charging speed, fully charging an iPhone in c.2 hours 15 mins. MFI certified too, meaning no error messages.An all-round impressive lightning cable that is both MFI certified and backed by a lifetime guarantee from Anker. I suspect from this cable's construction, the guarantee is unlikely to be called upon.

I have never had much luck with the standard Apple Lightning cables. They only ever seem to last a few months before breaking. It may have something to do with the way I treat them, but none the less I have always been disappointed with the quality of them. So when I am in the hunt for a new replacement cable, my first port of call is usually Anker. I have used a number of different type of Anker cables, previously mainly the braided ones, which I have never had a problem with and find that they are very hard wearing and long lasting. I got this cable as it promised to be very durable. And from my use so far and the look and feel of them they certainly feel like they are more than up for the job.The ends are very well constructed and certainly a huge improvement over the Apple cables. I am sure this will last many years. Recommended.

I'm a long time fan of Anker products and own several of their cables together with a few of their superb powerbanks, never fail to be impressed with the quality.This Powerline Dura is no exception and it was an easy decision to get one for my daughter after her OEM Apple cable started showing signs of wear after just a couple of months. (she's not known for being gentle with these things!).It does exactly what is says on the tin but with the added reassurance of the heavy plastic sheathing around each end which will put an end to the fraying and splitting that always happens with the original cable. Let's also not forget the lifetime Anker guarantee for total peace of mind.Yes,there are cheaper cables available but for me, I'll treat this like I treat shoes.......pay a bit more now, save a lot more in the future.

One of the two cables in the twin pack I bought bought failed after a couple of years, initially by only working one way up in the i-phone, and then not at all. This was a bit surprising since the quality of these cables is overall very good, and the other cable in the pack has been fine. However, I had bought this particular cable since it was advertised as a 'cable for life' and so I contacted Anker via the well-documented process on their website. They have been excellent throughout the process and quickly dispatched a replacement. I dealt with a real person who gave quick and helpful responses so even though the cable failed, I am happy with the final outcome, and hope that the new cable now does 'last for life'.Thank you Anker for honouring what you advertised and thank you Nina for the excellent customer service!

I've gone through a few Lightning cables over the years, they always end up getting twisted near the connector. Cheap cables area no-no, the cheap copies can destroy an iPhone as they lack over voltage protection so any cable has to have Apple's MFI stamp. I've bought Anker products before and they've been of good quality so when Anker offered me one of these to test I jumped at the chance. It's well made, seems durable and has nice strong moulded plugs with more moulding round the area where cables enter, the weak spot of Apple's own cables. Lifetime warranty shows they believe in their product and having uses their after sales support before I know their customer service is excellent.Have tested this on a number of Apple devices, no issue at all so can happily recommend.

This is a great replacement for the standard Apple ones that come with your device. Available in various colours and three lengths 3ft, 6ft and 10ft this is a nice thick cable that comes with a lifetime warranty.Note the lifetime warranty only applies if purchased direct from Anker or Amazon and note you also have to register the cable at the web address given on the leaflet to qualify.Very happy, Anker is a reliable brand and the cable looks and feels a quality product and appears to be much stronger than Apples own version and with a lifetime guarantee - why would you want anything else.Highly recommended - if you found this review useful, please click the helpful button thank you.

Having experienced bad luck with Apple's own lightening cables, trying this one for anker made a decent change. I have used anker products for some time now and they have been great quality. This cable is no exception.Once again, this cable feels durable and like it will withstand day to day use as it has so far been used in my house, at work and in the car. It charges very fast and I have experienced no interference with charging power like you get with cheap cables.The ends of the cable have thickened plastic sleeves which seem to keep the cable in the adaptors like it should.With an 18 month warrenty, I'm sure should I have any issues that it will be resolved.

Review through ANKER power user tester programme. I primarily use this cable to charge my iPad with the 12W power adaptor. It has prove itself to charge fast considerably faster than those cheap rip off apple cables and without my iPad saying to use an authentic cable since it seems to like the Anker cable. The design is more rounded around the edges giving a nice feel to cable. I twisted and bended the cable several times to see if there where any crease marks or rips after and it performed superbly. Although I've owned the cable for roughly a week I know this cable will last for the years to come not to mention it comes with lifetime warranty which is also a plus.

I have gone through 2 or 3 original Apple cables over the last 2/3 years. The problem I experience is that when you go to pull the cable from the device, as the connector is small you tend to pull the cable itself and after a few months the cable pulls away from the lightning plugAnker have addressed this by moulding the cable to the plug and it seems to be stronger and more durableI say this though after only a few days and so I'll have to see where we are in a few months. If any problems I'll revisit this reviewSignificantly though Anker are offering a lifetime guarantee and I don't think they would do so unless there was real confidence in the design

This is a sturdy cable compared to most and in my opinion, way better than the apple cable provided with your phone. I am a delivery driver and use my phone for satnav. It gets plugged in and out all day and has lasted really well. Eventually (almost a year) it did fail but the very best part about this product is the lifetime warranty. I got a brand new cable within 3 days and it was just as sturdy as the last. Do yourself a favour and buy two or three like I did, you know you will always need a spare, this is a brilliant cable with a brilliant warranty. You cannot go wrong.
