INITIAL THOUGHTS ☄➔ I'm not sure how or when my house was built, but there is rarely more than one outlet in a room and can get super frustrating. With that being said, I picked up this cable as a way to easily charge my phone from wherever I am in a room and still be able to use it. In my room for example, the closest outlet is 4ft away and this cable allows me to not only charge/use my Nokia N1 from my bed, but also have enough slack to move it around and not worry about pulling the plug out accidentally. So far I am super happy about not only the convenience of the length but also the fantastic quality of the cable... you can't go wrong.PROS ?✔ High Quality ➔ This cable is extremely durable (like most Anker cables)and I can imagine that this cable will last a long time. I own another Anker cable which is identical to the style of this one (same thickness and materials used) and it has lasted me over 6 months now with barely any noticeable signs of aging. The connectors of this cable, which are although stiff, are super firm and fit very securely.✔ Length ➔ At 6ft, this cable is super long and convenient. Not having to worry about inconvenient outlet locations or having to unplug the cable to move to another part of a room is great.✔ 56k Ohm Resistor ➔ This basically means that regardless of how many amps a power source puts out, the resistor will control that amount of power and ensure that your phone isn't damaged, which is awesome.✔ Crazy Fast Transfer Speeds ➔ USB-C is miles above the speed of the standard USB Type-A, it's incredibly fast. At roughly 5gbs, this cable will transfer data roughly 10 times faster than a USB 2.0, which is fantastic. So far, I am super impressed by how fast this cable can accomplish data transfer.✔ Anker Brand & 18 Month Warranty ➔ At the moment, Anker has easily become one of my favourite companies to buy from simply due to their consistent high-quality standards and premier customer service. Although I am yet to have any quality issues with any of their products, it's super comforting to know that I won't have any problems resolving my any issues that may arise. I will always recommend considering Anker brand if ever applicable.CONS ?✘ Tight Fit ➔ Although it's mainly designed like this for quality reasons, it can sometimes be difficult to plug the USB-C connector into my device. The design of this cable differs slightly and accordingly, needs some getting used to. The amount of force that you need to apply to get the connector in feels kind of unnecessary, but the 'locked in' click when it's connected properly is a handy way to ensure that you don't apply too much force.✘ No Fast Charging ➔ This isn't necessarily a con because it's completely expected from any USB-C to A adapters (in order to avoid damaging the device), but I figured I'd leave this in my review because most of the negative reviews of this product didn't seem to understand this.FINAL THOUGHTS ⚖➔ At the end of the day, this is an incredibly high-quality cable that is sure to give you great longevity and efficiency for years. With the USB-C craze quickly taking over, I imagine there will be hundreds of more uses for a charger like this, so having one around is always going to be handy. This is definitely a top of the line USB-C to USB-A adapter.**Highly Recommended! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Disclaimer: I received this item at a discounted rate or free in exchange for an honest review. Please note that I have not and will not ever promise a positive review. All my reviews are 100% my genuine experience with a product and if the review is 5 stars, it simply deserved it.

After having ordered some USB cables from another manufacturer online where the connector had come loose from the main cable, I did some research to find out whether Anker cables had the same issue and thankfully none were reported.I thus ordered 2x of the 6ft USB C cables and have found them to be very good with value added items such as velcro cable ties which have been attached to the cable itself so you don't end up losing them - very nice touch ! For those of you who may be concerned with regard to the product recall - I can confirm that the cables I received were sealed and not the same product type as the recall - so no concerns there.I'm always interested in finding good manufacturesfor products and did some more research into Anker - surprisingly I actually already have a few of their products such as their USB charger and also memory card reader - both products which I haven't had any problems with.So why the 4 stars instead of 5 ? Well to be honest the problem isn't wholly at Anker's door - I bought this cable as I have an Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe with a Tudia case, and the connector on the Anker cable has quite a large rim on it which means that if you try to plug it into the phone, the connector hits/rubs against the case and you end up getting a power only connection until you jiggle the connector a bit or use a bit of force to push the connector in all the way (I don't really want to start using force on a brand new phone). For those who are interested, the cable that I got eventually which had a much narrower bezel which didn't have this problem is the iSPECLE Nylon Braided cable - although it's also worthy to note that Anker continuously improve their product (I contacted them to let them know the issues I experienced) so by the time you buy this product it may well have been modified to have a smaller bezel. The same thing has happened to me with HDMI cables - the manufacturers put the ports too close to each other and some cables have too large a rim which means you can't plug the cables of the same type next to each other as they don't fit. Other than that I have no issues with this cable - very good

Very simple unboxing procedure, as it always is with Anker products, this is PowerLine, the finish and quality of these products is second to none, I have many cables for USB-C, lightning, Micro USB, from many manufacturers and original cables, for my galaxy s6 and 6P. The quality of these surpasses them all.As you will see in my picture, the cable is held in place by two velcro straps, that actually wrap around an individual cable with a smaller velcro piece so they do not fall off in daily use, I am saying velcro but I strongly believe it is something else and it is much more efficient than velcro, there is no sound and it secures it better. I already have a few of these from Anker and I can honestly say it also holds up better. The fact that they put thought into the 'thing' that they use to hold their cables together and it is of such high quality whilst other manufacturers use those twisty plastic things or nothing, allows me to place even more faith and respect into Anker for the quality they provideObviously, this is for anyone with a USB-C device, the 6ft cable, which I have is perfect for you if you like to sit on your bed and have it trail to the power outlet, general users and specifically if like me you are a stickler for cable management and like having a clean desktop this will reach around and make it very easy without you having to worry about damaging, snagging or trapping the cable, its PowerLine people, I don't think I will every say goodbye to my PowerLine cables.Overall, I am very happy with this product, it is presented simply, I hope to see a braided version in the future, hopefully, a different colour to PowerLine+ Micro USB and Lightning so it is easy to differentiate between them all, perhaps PowerLine+ USB-C? I would recommend this product to anyone who needed one, every time!Do not let this deter you but, I was supplied a sample for test and evaluation, I will be sending it back as I do already have one and I actually accidentally chose this for review, but even if I didn't, this review would be and is, honest.

I was provided with a sample of this USB Type-C cable by Anker for evaluation purposes. Here’s my review:USB Type-C is rapidly becoming more common and is set to become the standard connection with its faster data transfer speeds and charge times. It works across many devices types and is reversible – no need to fiddle with the cable in low light etc.As always, the cable came neatly packed in an Anker marked boxed. One thing to note is that this cable is USB 3.0, not 3.1 which claims to have a transfer speed of 10Gbps, double that of 3.0First impressions. The cable looks and feels durable and has a solid build quality. There is hard plastic on the connections and Kevlar fibres add strength whilst also protecting the cable, giving it a longer lifespan. It would have been nice to have metal casing at both connection ends, as well as a braided cord. But that’s my personal preference.Anker do back their products with their excellent hassle-free customer service, so you have the assurance that in the case of any mishaps, you’re covered.Practical use:The cable works with Nexus 5X and 6P but at much slower speeds, not the required 3A (amps). Anker do state this in the description. So if you’re after optimum speeds on these specific Nexus models, you’ll need to look at alternative cables in the market. The cable works perfectly well with the Microsoft Lumia 950, Chromebooks and USB Type-C hubs. It even powered my USB Type-C to VGA cable flawlessly. The velcro cable tie is an added bonus. I can throw in bag and not worry of tangles.I would not hesitate in purchasing this cable from Anker if the need arises. The 6ft length does help when it comes to connecting to a docking station etc. In all, another wonderful product from a reputable company.

This cable is a great alternative to the cable you get in the box of your new USB-C device. The cable is tough, durable and the heads of the USB3.0 and the USB-C are well protected and do not feel flimsy or a poor quality fitting. Being USB-C, it is a reversible charging cable. You don't have to worry about if your putting thecable in the right way in the dark or when your in a hurry. Just Plug and Charge.I have used my cable for around 15-20 uses so far and I keep it wrapped up using the provided velcro straps to keep the cable wound together, and out of the way when in use or not in use. This is a little touch that Anker provides for many of their cables, I like my areas tidy so this is great for me.This cable does support fast charge devices such as my Huawei P9 and other fast charge/supercharge devices. The length of the cable is long enough at 6ft for my needs. I have Anker USB charging hubs which have around 1-2m (3-6ft) on the power cable so this more than enough in total.Overall, the PowerLine USB-C cable is a great product in which will last you a long time with its durable properties and super fast transfer rates using USB3.0 as well as being a reversible charger in which is more straight forward for the consumer. I would recommend this product whoever is looking an extra cable to satisfy your needs.

I have played around with this cable for a few days and i can't fault it at all.The packaging I can't fault its typical Anker and great straight to the point easy to get the cable out.Build quality is excellent the cable itself is nice and smooth and comes with two Velcro straps that is great for cable management, The long cable is great for charging and using the phone at the same time.I have tested the cable with a Nexus 6P and my USB 3.0 port on my computer. I managed to get 16.4 MB/s transferring a 4.7GB file to the Nexus 6P. This is a lot faster then a standard USB connection. This was consistent between Windows and Ubuntu. It will also charge the Nexus 6P on AC charging or Full speed charging if connected to a 5V 2000mAh or higher charger so you can connect this to any USB outlet.I tested this with a Anker PowerPort 5 and its great.Cant fault it at all great cable and will be using it as the daily driver cable as we have not got any USB C chargers floating around and this makes pure sense.I was supplied a sample for test and evaluation, and I promised that my review is fair and honest.

*Update 11 Oct 2016 *Well I have been blown away. Within days of posting my original review I was contacted by an Anker rep who asked for a chance to replace the cable. From the details in the review they were concerned I had been sent a faulty cable.Only 4 days after they contacted me I receive the replacement cable and I am happy to say that this product is functioning exactly as I'd hoped and is now "rapidly changing" my HTC 10. Not only is it charging at full speed, it is clear to see that this is a quality product that should stand the test of time.Other companies could definitely learn lessons from the way Anker respond positively to feedback received.Thank you very much Anker.***** original review now superceded ****Very disappointed. Expected this to be a quality, full speed product but on first use I get a message on smartphone to say slow charge. Would not recommend this cable if you are expecting it to provide the same rapid charge as your original cable.

The USB Type C cable from Anker is one that lasts. I'm astonished by the quality of the product. It's an excellent the cable with a great finish along the whole cable. As well as it having a great build quality, Anker also offers Velcro-like ties which is great when travelling, and was definitely needed with this 6ft cable. It not only keeps the cable tidy, but also keeps me tidy.During my testing I was in fact achieving faster data transfer speed than the provided manufacture cable for my device, which shows the premium quality of the product. I've also tested the cable at 5 Amps and 2.1 Amps, which I can not see any issue with.As for any issues, and can in fact say so far I have none.If anything arises in the future I will be updating my review right here.I'd like to note I was send this product in exchange for my opinion and honest review. If you have any questions, I'll try and get back to you.

This is a top quality product! Over the past few years I have become a victim to purchasing poor quality cables. Those that are flimsy and break after 2 weeks of use. I can safely say that this is not a poor quality cable. On arrival it came well packaged in a branded box- unlike many of the previous cables I have purchased. The wire it self does have a premium feel to it, as it feels very sturdy and strong. After using it for 2 weeks, it hasn't let me down. The cable has worked as expected. The cable also has Anker branding engraved onto the cable, a clear distinction from the cheap poor quality cables. Overall I am very pleased with the product and will certainly be purchasing more of these in the future. So if your looking for a reliable, long lasting cable I can certainly vouch for this item.I was supplied this sample for test and evaluation, and I promised that my review is fair and honest

This is a great product and works perfectly. The longer length of the cable is ideal for those awkward sockets.Easy to use, and good packaging as always from Anker. The cable itself is nice and thick, meaning it can last longer than your average cable. Good value for money, and better quality than some of the other more expensive alternatives. It comes with a velcro strap meaning that you can manage the positioning and length of the cable to suit your personal needs. Each end has a good plastic casing, meaning there is less chance of this fraying and becoming exposed. Always a positive when purchasing a charging cable.Overall, I would recommend this item to anyone who requires one.

I luckily got this cable as a free sample but I still would have bought one because I accidentally bent my LG G5 charging cable connector. All I can say is that as with all Anker cables, the quality is brilliant. I wish phone companies would create their standard cables like these! The actual connector fits beautifully in the phone and doesn't feel like it will accidentally come out. This is the 3rd 6ft Anker cable that I own (2 previous micro USB ones) and I love the practicality and the fact that the quality of the actual cable is the same as any other sized cable they sell. I've bought other non branded cables in the past and they haven't lasted as long as my Anker ones.

17.6.2016

I was given one of these cable from Anker for evaluation purposes and giving a fair review based on my initial impressions.First of all, as with pretty much every other Anker product, the quality is exceptional. I have a similar cable from a different brand and this puts the other one to shame. The cable is very durable and the 2 velcro zip ties acts as a bonus when carrying it in a bag or when the length of the entire cable isn't necessary. So far, the cable has been working as well as you'd except but I will update this review if I run into any trouble.Overall, 10/10. Would be nice to have a few more colour options though.

Hi, I have been sent one of these cables from Anker for me too review and after a week of using this cable, I can tell you this is by far the best cable I have ever used with my phone.Pros:. The overall quality of the cable is fantastic, and the cable has been well made and won't break easily like most other cables.. The cable is really long so I can charge my phone while using it in bed.Cons:.None at all!Overall, I would definitely recommend this cable to anyone who is looking for a long sturdy sturdy cable that is good quality, and I will definetly be looking forward to review more Anker products :)

Anker sent me one of these cables to review for them. It's a great premium feeling cable. It's thickly insulated and has a nice taper around the plugs to prevent fraying. The Velcro straps are a nice touch to keep the cable from getting tangled in your bag.The longevity of the cable is yet to be seen, but it supports rapid charging on my Nexus 5X, and quite honestly, that's all I care about in a cable. I don't think the cable is loose like some other reviews say; I think it's quite a tight connection, and I haven't had any problems with the cable slipping out or dropping the connection.

30.1.2017

Again I have found myself buying Anker cables for reliability and quality. To be honest, there not much more cost than the cheaper beyond that may not be 56k ohm protected. I know that all c cables are supposed to be but I've got lots of old b cables and want to protect my new mobile device. I needed a long cable that would stretch to me and not make me stretch to the outlet. This 6ft length is ideal. The cable itself is fairly rigid so it won't really tangle. The usb & c plugs at either end are moulded and can't come apart as far as I can tell. Well worth my purchase.
