Akasa is a good brand which offers excellent choice. The Akasa AK-CC7129BP01 is extremely low profile at 21mm. The Akasa AK-CC7122EP01 (with plastic popper feet) is very low at 26mm. The Akasa AK-CC7118HP01 (with plastic poppers and yellow fan) is also low at 29.5 mm. Unless you need a cpu cooler this low you will get a better cooling to noise ratio by buying something bigger. Just to put these ultra low coolers in perspective, the stock Intel cooler is 50mm high. Very low coolers are needed only for builds in thin-mini itx cases. For example, the Silverstone PT13 case, which is designed for thin mini-itx - the boards which take laptop RAM and draw power directly from a dc power brick - will accommodate a cooler up to 30mm in height.

I'm using this cooler with chassis Silverstone pt13 and motherboard Asus H81T. Much better than tĥe Silverstone Argon Series AR04 cooler which was 1.too noisy 2.the heat pipes of this cooler come in contact with the capacitor 3. too difficult to fit 4. motherboard was unable control speed of this cooler. So highly recommended .

Excellent bit of kit, really thin and silent - didn't think it was possible to get a fan and heatsink this thin. I have used it in a Nintendo 64 case, which must be the tightest of cases it will go into and works brilliantly. For the price it's a steal

I bought this to fit into a slim Silverstone PT13 case for my media streamer. The case is only about 45mm high and it fits in fine and is pretty quiet too.

Super low profile, but not that quiet when it gets going... But there's always compromise- I actually feel a bit bad for rating it 4 stars considering..

A little late in arriving but that is an issue with Royal Mail and not with the seller.Very easy to fit, complete with thermal paste. Works a treat.

I really wanted this with plastic poppers and the version they do is higher..I had to mod this but it did the job

It is cheap, it does the work and if you need space in your CPU is really flat. Not too quiet not too noisy

In my Thin mini ITX setup this fan is almost silent and yet seems to be able to keep my PC cool
