I was noticing some thermal throttling on my Ryzen 5 3600 with its stock cooler, and I heard good things about the Arctic 34 eSports DUO.First, let's get the most important part out of the way: The cooling is excellent and the price is great! Extremely happy with the performance and it's whisper quiet at normal speeds -- a huge upgrade in both sound and cooling over the stock Ryzen 3600 cooler.SOME GRIPES:- Fans' spring mounting system and mounting screws can make things a bit difficult if installing within the chassis, which I tried to do. It was somewhat of a nightmare, but I can see how it would be easy if you took your board out first. I didn't have to remove it,but it was a fight.- There is no written manual included, or even a descriptor of the multiple screws supplied. Instead, the manual comes in the form of a QR sticker that you scan to deliver you to an online PDF. It worked fine, but it took a while before I realized the instructions came through the QR code and I hadn't simply misplaced them somewhere when opening the box.- Size of the heatsink was very slightly taller than I'm used to, and it was just enough to prevent me from using the side fan in my case. That's my fault for not measuring, of course, but I didn't expect it'd be an issue. Even still, having removed my side panel fan, my temps were far cooler!- Thermal paste comes in a small packet instead of a syringe, though it worked just fine despite a nervously uneven application -- remember to apply the paste along each heatpipe, and not simply a small dot on your chip like you might be used to.- The heatpipes on the heatsink don't cover the entirety of my Ryzen 3600 chip, which was a little concerning at first but it doesn't impact temps at all, so this isn't really a gripe as much as a PSA. Apparently all the bits that matter inside the chip are under the heatpipe.SOME PROS:- Cooling has been outstanding over my stock cooler. Previously I had been idling a bit hot at 50c and gaming at 70c+, but now I'm idling around 35c, and gaming barely cracks 50c -- that, despite the fact that I used the new cooling to overclock while gaming. So I'm now performing better, and cooler!- Despite my complaints about spacing difficulties while installing inside the chassis, the mounting system itself is wonderfully easy on an AM4 board. Simply screw the wings onto the Arctic, and then screw it through the board and into the backplate. I've never installed a cooler before with such an easy mechanism -- no fussy X-shaped mounting monstrosities like on the Hyper 212s. Any and all issues I had were simply space related having installed while still inside the case.- Fans are VERY quiet at normal speeds. They are so quiet that I actually went back and checked the fans after starting up because I thought they weren't spinning! They do get respectably loud at max speeds (2100 RPM), but it hasn't been necessary to use that much speed yet.- Pull/push dual fan setup has really improved the overall airflow in my case, helping to kick the hot air out to my computer's rear exhaust fan. Everything has been cooler, not just my CPU!- I got the white and black version, and I personally think it's gorgeous. No RGB is a shame because you can't as easily see how pretty this cooler is in the case, but fresh out of the box it looks great!

This is great! I have am4 motherboard with a wriath spire stock cooler which wasn't bad. My ryzen 5 2600× was running 56c with stock idoling. 67c to 78c gaming which isn't bad for a stock cooler. The Arctic 34 esports works with the amd b450 v2 board. In my Nzxt 510 case. I'm pulling temps at around 40c to 41c idoling. Gaming 47c to 56c. It sits on wood floors under the UHD tv. Yes, i game on a 65 inch tv. Same thing as console. So it's cold during the winter time with the case on the floor. Ambient temp 72f in living room. Reason I got the Arctic cooler 34 esport is More for this summer. I was worried about warmer ambient temps. The cooler doesn't cover the whole cpu. I was skeptical about it.People on reddit and toms hardware reassured me that it would still work and transfer heat on my ryzen 5. I still covered the corners with paste like I would applying for a normal cooler. But to my surprise. This is great for the budget. Almost as good or better then an aio liquid cooler. For the price. It's a pain to install, be patient and have some simple smarts about it. Had to take (back case fan off) and gpu to put it on. Because it would have been a nightmare to take the motherboard out then reinstall the motherboard. I don't overclock my pc. I have a 580 rx gpu. I play multiple games at 4k. Mainly older ones. War thunder, world of warships. Company of heroes. Medieval total war 2. Which is amazing by the way! To revisit my generation games. Cod modern warfare warzone. Plays great. I thought I should put that in their so I don't miss lead someone who is playing cyberpunk and is extreme with overclocking their cpu. Someone please get command and conquer generals remastered! I just came back to pc. This year on a budget. After the whole ps5 scalping and crap. Let see....Noise level don't know it's not that close to me on a desk. I have a sound bar with base that tunes things out. Like kids! Other people, etc. Mounting system.....use the same back bracket that came with the b450 v2 board. The screws with double noches is the ones to use. The others won't screw in. That parts easy it's setting it in or attaching it to the board that's hard because of thelimited amount of space. I hope this review was helpful.

I'm running an AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF running 3.5 GHz all core boost with ram running 3200 MHz on XMP CL16 that under full load and the supplied free cooler maxed out at about 75c in a room that was about 23c, or a 52c over delta for a comparison standard. I like the downdraft style of the original cooler, but it couldn't keep up with the heat generated by the CPU, so I tried another popular downdraft style cooler (which I won't name as it's still a great cooler) from an old build that was a 120 mm single fan in a low profile design that gave me a 48c over delta at max load. After some extensive research, I decided to give the Arctic Freezer 34 esports duo a try.I purchased the red/black model as it was the cheapest and had the quickest shipping. It looks fantastic in my case, although it is the only red in my black and white case. I do have RGB lights so I turn them to red to compensate.Getting back to temps, the Arctic 34 esports duo gives me a 34c over delta at full load. This means I have more thermal headroom for safer overclocking. So, it's running 18c cooler than the stock cooler, and 14c cooler than a single 120 mm fan downdraft low profile cooler. As for the noise, I have both the fans on the CPU and the five case fans running at 100% and the noise level is equivalent to 20 inch box fan on low.The one and only CON of this cooler is the clips that hold the two fans in place on the fin array. I tried installing the fans with the motherboard in the case and it was a total disaster trying to reach and secure the lower connections. After fighting with the clips for over 20 mins, I gave up and just pulled the motherboard completely out of the case to attach the fans. What should have been a 5-10 min install turned into almost two hours of fighting with clips, followed by an almost total disassembly and reassembly, followed by an almost total redo of my cable management.Aside from the royal hassle of installation, the cooler itself handles the heat generated better than most budget coolers I've seen. I've seen a high of 34c over delta at full load and a low of 12c over delta at idle with a price that makes it a hands down must have if you want great temps on air.

After getting CPU temps of up to 90-95 degrees I decided to invest in a cooler. The cheapest recommended one on Amazon seemed good value for money however I prefered this one as it consisted of two fans. The cooler comes packaged well and comes with all the screws, adapters and mounting hardware which are required for the installation on both Intel and AMD CPUs. Thermal paste came included which was an extra too.So, for the installation. Removing the old stock Intel cooler was easy enough. Following that was inserting the mounting plate and standoffs which was alright. However, installing the fans and connecting it to the motherboard header was such a hassle with not much space left to spare. This may be easier on other motherboards which have more room and a better location for the CPU fan header however, it took around 15-20 minutes to get the fans connected and hooked to the cooler. The fan clips are a right hassle and if you aren't removing the motherboard from the case, like me, it is a right hassle trying to get the clips to hold the fans in place. During my installation, the whole clip fell off and took me another 10 minutes trying to get it back in behind the cooler. But, once the fan was ready and installed it functions absolutely fantastic. I was not having high expectations because I thought it was an issue with the CPU. However, my temperatures dropped from 90-95 degrees playing GTAV to under 50. So far, fingers crossed, I haven't seen the temperature go over 50 degrees which I find amazing even when playing GTA which would often heat up the CPU.Overall I would recommend the cooler if you feel comfortable with taking some time to install it.

So overall I would have given 5 stars as dramatic decrease in temps both idle and gaming.Noise: Barely audible inside case. Quieter than a laptop fan at 100% by a large margin. At 100% I can slightly hear it but only if I focus on it to listen to it. So yes it's very quiet.Installation: Nightmare, kind of, as it's not noted anywhere that when you put in the standoffs "to the factory backplate" that it will be loose on a lot of boards. Ignore it and just tighten the standoffs all the way. Once heatsink is placed and tightened up with the CPU it will remove the slack/looseness of the backplate. about 1/4 inch slack until heatsink tightened +/-.Would have saved a lot of my time if that was noted :)heatsink won't fully cover an AM4 CPU but it doesn't seem to matter as it still cools it off perfectly even overclocking. The fins can be bent easily so be careful there, the edges of them I should say. Can be bent back but some may not like it.Quality: Seems to be well made, I expected much less and got a whole lot more so that was great!Fan range via ASUS utility is 200rpm low to 2115 rpms at max. Fans can be controlled separately if your board has the 4 pin header to spare for it. But it does just fine daisy chained(connected to the other).Seems to have plenty of space around it from ram to VRM heat shields, but is slightly close to backplate of video card but has had no effect on the gpu temps. It is tall to make sure to check if your case can fit it. Most mid-ATX and above should fit but double check at pcpartpicker to be sure of compatibility.Currently Day 1 testing it but I don't foresee any issues but will update if any arise.

I purchased this cooler as an upgrade from the standard cooler that comes with the Ryzen 5 2600. I've on average dropped between 10-20 degrees on idle and in game, which is also dependant on the ambient room temperature. I have to say I am very impressed with this cooler for the price and the performance. I went with the two fan variant which was very easy to install and didn't rely on the standard motherboard mounting bracket, which I much prefer. This mounted easily to the motherboard, which I kept in the case for ease during the install. I like how they included thermal paste, avoiding an extra purchase, but how effective this thermal paste compared to others is I'm unsure. As far as noise goes, naturally there is going to be more. Replacing one standard cooler for a much larger aftermarket cooler is bound to affect the noise level, but this cooler isn't excessively loud by any means. My PC has 5 120mm case fans, 2 120mm cpu cooler fans and 2 gpu fans, so it's definitely not silent, but this cooler didn't increase the noise significantly, or not enough to annoy me; which is impressive since my PC is on my desk next to me. Even under load I haven't noticed a massive difference in noise level.Overall this is a very impressive cooler for the money. Looks wise I am very impressed. The whole cooler is powered coated in black, which is very aesthetically pleasing and is paired with two black and white fans which compliments the whole look. I am also impressed with the temperature decrease too, running on idle around 30 degrees and under load roughly 55-60, impressive for a cooler in this price range.

TL;DR, Great cooler, Fantastic price £45, small complaint with cable managment. you can't go wrong here! After reading and watching multiple reviews online of this cooler from people like, Gamers Nexux, JayTwoCents, and Linus Tech Tips to name a few I was confident that this cooler was going to offer the cooling performance boost I was hoping for,I was using a Noctua LS-somthing, I forget the model number now but it had a 65W TDP and my CPU pumped out 95W so for my CPU it was not ideal, this was reflected in what I considered was high temps on Idle and on loadInstalling this cooler was mostly effortless, putting the heatsink on the CPU was straight forward, (Am4) just pop it on and screw it in,getting the fans to sit on the Heatsink was a little tricky with the restraining bars, don't be afraid to push them on with a little force, eventually they stuck on and are held on tightly.Booting up and running some tests I was seeing anywhere from 15 to 20 degree's cooler in idle and load temperatures, idling as low as 31c at one point and never going higher than 67c on full synthetic load.My only cripe and it's a small complaint compared to the vastly improved cooling performance, is the dual 4-pin fan connectors, they can be daisy-chained together to plug into one slot on the board.. but with no way to hide the small mass of cable it doesn't look pretty, I also had a problem with the cables naturally resting inside one of my exhast fans at the top of the case meaning I had to unplug it and twist the cables in such a way the prevented it.

This is a great product, currently using this to cool my Ryzen 7 5800x on an ASUS TUF Gaming x570 Plus Wifi motherboard. It's great value for it's price point and provides great cooling. It's fairly easy to install, I suggest if you can do it with the motherboard outside the case as having some space will make it easy to install, if your doing on a pre existing build inside a case it is a bit tricker if you don't have space but it is doable. It does come with an intel back plate if you have an intel system and it comes with thermal paste and all the relevant screws. The instruction manual is online and it's very easy to follow. For AMD build you need to have the backplate that comes with your motherboard to install it.It looks great and you can get various colours to match your build. At 25 – 75% fan speed the cooler is fairly quiet ,nice and subtle and at 100% as seen in the video it does get a bit loud where it's noticeable.Temperatures at idle are around 27c – 30c, whilst gaming its around 55c – 60c and finally on Cinebench pushing the CPU to the limit on multicore load it hits 78 - 80c. For a CPU that's known to be quite hot, this cooler does a great job keeping it within it's limits, and to be honest for us average consumers we probably would never see these types of temperatures.Overall, I've been really impressed by the capabilities of this cooler, it is excellent value for money getting great performance and it's price point and I would highly recommend.

Was looking for something to replace the Wraith Stealth cooler that came with my Ryzen 1600AF cpu which was running a little toasty (under normal sustained load was about 75 degrees but with a synthetic test like Prime95 it would easily reach 90 within 10 mins). There were a lot of recommendations for coolers but these were £50+ coolers for a cpu I only paid £80 for!!Having had decent results with their case fans I had no qualms with going for the Freezer 34 Esports Duo cooler - it reviewed well and the price was good. Once it arrived I was worried it might be a bit tall for my case but this wasnt an issue. What was an issue was fitting the cooler whilst the mobo was in the case - the thumbscrews were a bit fiddly and I managed to use the wrong standoffs the first time (there are 3 different types of standoff included in the box). Once this was corrected and the cooler was installed I booted up and was treated to near silence which is exactly what I was after! After running it for a few hours to let the thermal paste bed in I reran the Prime95 test and despite leaving it running for 15 mins instead of 10 the temps only reached 59 degrees - a definite improvement! So all you ryzen fans out there - if you need a new cooler....get this one. You wont be disapointed!tl:dr - old cooler wasnt enough (90 degees+), new cooler much better (60 degrees). Bargain prize for superb performance!

ARCTIC Freezer is an apt name for this product. Going from stock cpu fan to this has dropped my temps with the cpu on all cores working hard to 50C often cooler. Idle the temps on my pc are about 27C in a 18C environment. It is in a case with good airflow with front of case fans pushing air into it (Cooler Master H500).Installing: was very easy as my case offered access to the rear of motherboard, so I didn't need to take motherboard out (and all those wires). The instructions at the website are very good and walk you through preparation and installing, there are no instructions in the package, but for a thing to scan to take you to the web site,so have a device ready that can use it as your computer is obviously not able to work and look up site , while you attach cooler.Cons: Satchel of paste you get, be careful how you cut it open your first squeeze could be messy, should of been in a syringe. When re-attaching Fans hold the clips from nearest motherboard (bottom) as you clasp to avoid the metal hinge clasps coming out as it's black on black and hard to find hole if it pops out as did with me on first clasp.I would normally down grade because of the cons my rating, I am however very impressed , just how much this keeps my CPU cool, how quite it is and also how it clears my RAM but fits in my case so well without any issues.I am very happy with my purchase.

Extremely happy with it. Feels very good quality and for the price I'm amazed at the performance. It keeps my CPU around 35 degrees when idle and around 60 degrees on a heavy load (mainly gaming). Even though it has two large fans it's very quiet. You CAN hear it when its ramps up but it doesn't vibrate or rattle. For comparison my GPU (GTX 1080) is louder. Things are quite tight in my case but an added bonus of this cooler is that it has also lowered the ambient temperature because its two fans pull and push air. My PSU, GPU and RAM sticks all run cooler because any heat in the case is pushed out through the fans and out the back. Amazing design. When you see the installation instructions it might seem complicated to install but if you follow step by step its actually very easy (when compared to other after market coolers) I had it installed in 30 minutes even though it was a tight fit.Small note: make sure your case/motherboard etc are configured in a way that fits the cooler. Even if technically you have space consider its more box like shape. Its not that its too large but because the heat sync is quite tall AND wide on both axes it has more of a square profile. So just make sure it doesn't block you CPU power connector or overlap with you RAM etc.All in all I cant recommend it enough at around £40.

I was looking for a cooler between $40 to $50 for an older motherboard/cpu I picked up at a bargain. While I wanted something good like noctua but did not want to spend noctua price for something I might replace in 2 to 3 years anyway. The Arctic freezer 34 esports duo that I choose looked nice, had a good tdp rating, and according to online reviews I had seen, the cooler had a system to keep the fan hinges attached to the cooler when you where taking off or putting on the fans.Everything worked as expected except the fan hinges. online how they showed it in the online videos, whenever i tried to put the fans on, the hinges would disconnect from the cooler and I would need to force them back into place. At first, I thought I could attach the fans to the cooler first and then attach the cooler to the motherboard for an easier installation (because of the hinges would disconnect from cooler) but it was not possible to get to the screws with the fans attached to the cooler. So I was forced to attach the cooler to the motherboard first and then had to attach the fans to the cooler while forcing the hinges to go back into place. While the cooler works at good as it claims, I dread the thought of moving it to a different motherboard (since the installation is such a pain).

I bought this cooler to pair with a MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX motherboard and Ryzen 5 3600 for my first PC build. What drew me to the cooler was that many people reviewed that it kept the 3600 very cool, much cooler than the stock cooler. I also read that some people had some issues installing it on a Tomahawk max due to little thread on the screws (not quite sure what the exact issue is, or if it exists). Some people said to contact Antic customer support to get a compatible backplate and mounting screws which I did and those parts worked perfectly (they arrived in a week). I thought I'd rather be safe than sorry so I used those replacement parts instead of those provided. It was easy to install,I just watched the videos provided by Arctic. It has kept my cpu very cool at 30-40 degrees idle and in the 50s or 60s while gaming. I've only been using it a week so can't comment on it's long term use yet but so far so good.Note: if you get the replacement parts from arctic if you're using a tomahawk max then the screws that they provide don't follow the installation pattern. Try screwing it into the backplate when they arrive and you'll spot the correct orientation of the screw since it will only screw in one way.

This is a very silent fan. According to the tech sites that reviewed this, it had some of the best cooling performance of any air based fan -- even better than some close loop kits. Every aspect of the physical design is well thought out and flexible. The lack of documentation perturbed me. Until I realized that I was meant to scan the QR code on the business card they included. This linked to an appropriately succinct video, which told me the parts I'd need for an LGA 1151. Dinging a star for "easy to install" for two reasons. 1) This requires a separate device with an internet connection to view documentation. 2) In my opinion if you are not going include physical documentation you need to make it abundantly obvious which of the screws/mounts you'll need.Throw a little label in the bag of screws or something. I tried seeing which ones fit, but a few of them did.If you have a Silverstone FT03 tower, you will find that this cooler is slightly too tall. The 45 degree side fan will not fit alongside both of the CPU fans. You will have to choose between removing the bottom CPU fan (which is very possible) or foregoing the side fan. In my opinion it makes more sense to remove the side fan.

A few day ago my corsair h80i v2 started giving me trouble. The pump worked, fans were spinning yet the temperature was on the high side. Not going to lie. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a new cooler so I picked 3 candidates to replace the AIO- CM 212 Evo, Deepcool Gammax 400 and Arctic Freezer 34 esports duo. Watched and read a lot and decided buy AF34 Duo. Didn't buy from amazon, because I needed it ASAP.Installation was a breeze. Don't worry about the standoffs being too short, just press the amd backplate firmly to the back of your motherboard and use the other hand to screw the thumb nuts on and presto. My ryzen 1600 AF (you know what it stands for don't you:))idles at 28 Celsius- the screenshot shows 26, sometimes it goes down to 25 only because I'm too lazy to go downstairs and turn the central heating on and it's been cold so I guess that helps. When gaming e.g Kingdom Come Deliverance on ultra FHD it climbs up to 37-40 Celsius. Handbrake pushes the temps to 50 degrees, Prime 95 slightly less. It's quiet as well. Overall very happy. The amd cooler that came with the cpu was ok, but performance wise they are at opposite poles.Edit: My mobo MSI b450 tomahawk max
