I was noticing some thermal throttling on my Ryzen 5 3600 with its stock cooler, and I heard good things about the Arctic 34 eSports DUO.First, let's get the most important part out of the way: The cooling is excellent and the price is great! Extremely happy with the performance and it's whisper quiet at normal speeds -- a huge upgrade in both sound and cooling over the stock Ryzen 3600 cooler.SOME GRIPES:- Fans' spring mounting system and mounting screws can make things a bit difficult if installing within the chassis, which I tried to do. It was somewhat of a nightmare, but I can see how it would be easy if you took your board out first. I didn't have to remove it,but it was a fight.- There is no written manual included, or even a descriptor of the multiple screws supplied. Instead, the manual comes in the form of a QR sticker that you scan to deliver you to an online PDF. It worked fine, but it took a while before I realized the instructions came through the QR code and I hadn't simply misplaced them somewhere when opening the box.- Size of the heatsink was very slightly taller than I'm used to, and it was just enough to prevent me from using the side fan in my case. That's my fault for not measuring, of course, but I didn't expect it'd be an issue. Even still, having removed my side panel fan, my temps were far cooler!- Thermal paste comes in a small packet instead of a syringe, though it worked just fine despite a nervously uneven application -- remember to apply the paste along each heatpipe, and not simply a small dot on your chip like you might be used to.- The heatpipes on the heatsink don't cover the entirety of my Ryzen 3600 chip, which was a little concerning at first but it doesn't impact temps at all, so this isn't really a gripe as much as a PSA. Apparently all the bits that matter inside the chip are under the heatpipe.SOME PROS:- Cooling has been outstanding over my stock cooler. Previously I had been idling a bit hot at 50c and gaming at 70c+, but now I'm idling around 35c, and gaming barely cracks 50c -- that, despite the fact that I used the new cooling to overclock while gaming. So I'm now performing better, and cooler!- Despite my complaints about spacing difficulties while installing inside the chassis, the mounting system itself is wonderfully easy on an AM4 board. Simply screw the wings onto the Arctic, and then screw it through the board and into the backplate. I've never installed a cooler before with such an easy mechanism -- no fussy X-shaped mounting monstrosities like on the Hyper 212s. Any and all issues I had were simply space related having installed while still inside the case.- Fans are VERY quiet at normal speeds. They are so quiet that I actually went back and checked the fans after starting up because I thought they weren't spinning! They do get respectably loud at max speeds (2100 RPM), but it hasn't been necessary to use that much speed yet.- Pull/push dual fan setup has really improved the overall airflow in my case, helping to kick the hot air out to my computer's rear exhaust fan. Everything has been cooler, not just my CPU!- I got the white and black version, and I personally think it's gorgeous. No RGB is a shame because you can't as easily see how pretty this cooler is in the case, but fresh out of the box it looks great!

I'm running an AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF running 3.5 GHz all core boost with ram running 3200 MHz on XMP CL16 that under full load and the supplied free cooler maxed out at about 75c in a room that was about 23c, or a 52c over delta for a comparison standard. I like the downdraft style of the original cooler, but it couldn't keep up with the heat generated by the CPU, so I tried another popular downdraft style cooler (which I won't name as it's still a great cooler) from an old build that was a 120 mm single fan in a low profile design that gave me a 48c over delta at max load. After some extensive research, I decided to give the Arctic Freezer 34 esports duo a try.I purchased the red/black model as it was the cheapest and had the quickest shipping. It looks fantastic in my case, although it is the only red in my black and white case. I do have RGB lights so I turn them to red to compensate.Getting back to temps, the Arctic 34 esports duo gives me a 34c over delta at full load. This means I have more thermal headroom for safer overclocking. So, it's running 18c cooler than the stock cooler, and 14c cooler than a single 120 mm fan downdraft low profile cooler. As for the noise, I have both the fans on the CPU and the five case fans running at 100% and the noise level is equivalent to 20 inch box fan on low.The one and only CON of this cooler is the clips that hold the two fans in place on the fin array. I tried installing the fans with the motherboard in the case and it was a total disaster trying to reach and secure the lower connections. After fighting with the clips for over 20 mins, I gave up and just pulled the motherboard completely out of the case to attach the fans. What should have been a 5-10 min install turned into almost two hours of fighting with clips, followed by an almost total disassembly and reassembly, followed by an almost total redo of my cable management.Aside from the royal hassle of installation, the cooler itself handles the heat generated better than most budget coolers I've seen. I've seen a high of 34c over delta at full load and a low of 12c over delta at idle with a price that makes it a hands down must have if you want great temps on air.

Purchased to replace AMD WRAITH PRISM cooler on Ryzen 7 1800X.Before replacement I was seeing low 1600 scores in Cinebench R15 with fan curve set to silent profile. After fitting the Arctic Freezer 34 Esports Duo White Edition, Cinebench R15 scores consistently turned in at 1630s to 1650s. Idle temps remain around 33-36 maxing out at 64 under 100% load using Intel Burn Test (IBT).Noise no worse than the stock Wraith Prism cooler that was on before (using the same CPU fan curve). This is good considering there are now two fans on the cooler.I was able to overclock to 3.95GHz on all cores (auto voltage)stable under 100% torture testing whereas before the max would have been 3.85-3.9GHz.Fitting was straightforward although I had to consult the online manual to work out which motherboard mounting standoff set were needed out of the 3 types included.Thermal paste included was just enough for one application which had to be done differently from how I would normally apply it (has to be applied in lines along each of the heat pipe segment on the cold plate). The fan attachment clips are a tiny bit fiddly and remember to remove the clear stickers at the centre of each fan as well as the one on the cooler cold plate.Clearance no issue as the footprint is about the same as the Wraith Prism cooler that was on before.I have to confess that I went for this cooler because of the looks (White) and was not expecting great things of the thermal performance which seems to be fine and on par with a CoolerMaster 240mm radiator setup I also had on my PC.The white finish / shade differs on the various components (including the mounting brackets) but is all well painted.I think this cooler is good value for the price. The only gripe is that I feel it would have been better if the fan connectors plugged into a Y connector instead of having daisy chain connections which would avoid dangling wires that then have to be cable managed.Does the job, looks the part and is fairly quiet in operation...

After getting CPU temps of up to 90-95 degrees I decided to invest in a cooler. The cheapest recommended one on Amazon seemed good value for money however I prefered this one as it consisted of two fans. The cooler comes packaged well and comes with all the screws, adapters and mounting hardware which are required for the installation on both Intel and AMD CPUs. Thermal paste came included which was an extra too.So, for the installation. Removing the old stock Intel cooler was easy enough. Following that was inserting the mounting plate and standoffs which was alright. However, installing the fans and connecting it to the motherboard header was such a hassle with not much space left to spare. This may be easier on other motherboards which have more room and a better location for the CPU fan header however, it took around 15-20 minutes to get the fans connected and hooked to the cooler. The fan clips are a right hassle and if you aren't removing the motherboard from the case, like me, it is a right hassle trying to get the clips to hold the fans in place. During my installation, the whole clip fell off and took me another 10 minutes trying to get it back in behind the cooler. But, once the fan was ready and installed it functions absolutely fantastic. I was not having high expectations because I thought it was an issue with the CPU. However, my temperatures dropped from 90-95 degrees playing GTAV to under 50. So far, fingers crossed, I haven't seen the temperature go over 50 degrees which I find amazing even when playing GTA which would often heat up the CPU.Overall I would recommend the cooler if you feel comfortable with taking some time to install it.

I purchased this cooler as an upgrade from the standard cooler that comes with the Ryzen 5 2600. I've on average dropped between 10-20 degrees on idle and in game, which is also dependant on the ambient room temperature. I have to say I am very impressed with this cooler for the price and the performance. I went with the two fan variant which was very easy to install and didn't rely on the standard motherboard mounting bracket, which I much prefer. This mounted easily to the motherboard, which I kept in the case for ease during the install. I like how they included thermal paste, avoiding an extra purchase, but how effective this thermal paste compared to others is I'm unsure. As far as noise goes, naturally there is going to be more. Replacing one standard cooler for a much larger aftermarket cooler is bound to affect the noise level, but this cooler isn't excessively loud by any means. My PC has 5 120mm case fans, 2 120mm cpu cooler fans and 2 gpu fans, so it's definitely not silent, but this cooler didn't increase the noise significantly, or not enough to annoy me; which is impressive since my PC is on my desk next to me. Even under load I haven't noticed a massive difference in noise level.Overall this is a very impressive cooler for the money. Looks wise I am very impressed. The whole cooler is powered coated in black, which is very aesthetically pleasing and is paired with two black and white fans which compliments the whole look. I am also impressed with the temperature decrease too, running on idle around 30 degrees and under load roughly 55-60, impressive for a cooler in this price range.

TL;DR, Great cooler, Fantastic price £45, small complaint with cable managment. you can't go wrong here! After reading and watching multiple reviews online of this cooler from people like, Gamers Nexux, JayTwoCents, and Linus Tech Tips to name a few I was confident that this cooler was going to offer the cooling performance boost I was hoping for,I was using a Noctua LS-somthing, I forget the model number now but it had a 65W TDP and my CPU pumped out 95W so for my CPU it was not ideal, this was reflected in what I considered was high temps on Idle and on loadInstalling this cooler was mostly effortless, putting the heatsink on the CPU was straight forward, (Am4) just pop it on and screw it in,getting the fans to sit on the Heatsink was a little tricky with the restraining bars, don't be afraid to push them on with a little force, eventually they stuck on and are held on tightly.Booting up and running some tests I was seeing anywhere from 15 to 20 degree's cooler in idle and load temperatures, idling as low as 31c at one point and never going higher than 67c on full synthetic load.My only cripe and it's a small complaint compared to the vastly improved cooling performance, is the dual 4-pin fan connectors, they can be daisy-chained together to plug into one slot on the board.. but with no way to hide the small mass of cable it doesn't look pretty, I also had a problem with the cables naturally resting inside one of my exhast fans at the top of the case meaning I had to unplug it and twist the cables in such a way the prevented it.

Installation [MSI Tomahawk Max B450]---------------------------------------------This cooler took about 5 minutes to install. The instructions are available on the Arctic website (none were included in the box). All necessary mounting accessories were included for an AM4 socket. Fan spring clips are also included if you wish to add a second fan in a push pull configuration. I was worried that the when the standoff mounts were attached to the motherboard backplate the fitting was loose however when the cooler was screwed into the standoffs there is no play so don't worry if you find this when installing (MSI Tomahawk Max b450).Performance----------------The stock wraith stealth cooler includedwith the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 would post max temps around 80-85 Celsius when subjected to ten minutes of an Intel burn test at normal. During this time the cooler was far too loud, obnoxiously so.The Arctic Freezer 34 however provides a maximum temperature of 63 celsius during the same test and is objectively much quieter (on the same PWN fan curve settings configured in the BIOS)For disclosures sake, , my system is housed in a Phanteks Enthoo with all fan spots occupied and working in positive pressure.Conclusion-------------This cooler costs £20 ! The performance in both temperatures and noise levels are more than worth it for this price and are competitive with coolers 3-4x the cost. I am very happy with this purchase and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone with a Ryzen 3600 or higher.

This is a great product, currently using this to cool my Ryzen 7 5800x on an ASUS TUF Gaming x570 Plus Wifi motherboard. It's great value for it's price point and provides great cooling. It's fairly easy to install, I suggest if you can do it with the motherboard outside the case as having some space will make it easy to install, if your doing on a pre existing build inside a case it is a bit tricker if you don't have space but it is doable. It does come with an intel back plate if you have an intel system and it comes with thermal paste and all the relevant screws. The instruction manual is online and it's very easy to follow. For AMD build you need to have the backplate that comes with your motherboard to install it.It looks great and you can get various colours to match your build. At 25 – 75% fan speed the cooler is fairly quiet ,nice and subtle and at 100% as seen in the video it does get a bit loud where it's noticeable.Temperatures at idle are around 27c – 30c, whilst gaming its around 55c – 60c and finally on Cinebench pushing the CPU to the limit on multicore load it hits 78 - 80c. For a CPU that's known to be quite hot, this cooler does a great job keeping it within it's limits, and to be honest for us average consumers we probably would never see these types of temperatures.Overall, I've been really impressed by the capabilities of this cooler, it is excellent value for money getting great performance and it's price point and I would highly recommend.

Was looking for something to replace the Wraith Stealth cooler that came with my Ryzen 1600AF cpu which was running a little toasty (under normal sustained load was about 75 degrees but with a synthetic test like Prime95 it would easily reach 90 within 10 mins). There were a lot of recommendations for coolers but these were £50+ coolers for a cpu I only paid £80 for!!Having had decent results with their case fans I had no qualms with going for the Freezer 34 Esports Duo cooler - it reviewed well and the price was good. Once it arrived I was worried it might be a bit tall for my case but this wasnt an issue. What was an issue was fitting the cooler whilst the mobo was in the case - the thumbscrews were a bit fiddly and I managed to use the wrong standoffs the first time (there are 3 different types of standoff included in the box). Once this was corrected and the cooler was installed I booted up and was treated to near silence which is exactly what I was after! After running it for a few hours to let the thermal paste bed in I reran the Prime95 test and despite leaving it running for 15 mins instead of 10 the temps only reached 59 degrees - a definite improvement! So all you ryzen fans out there - if you need a new cooler....get this one. You wont be disapointed!tl:dr - old cooler wasnt enough (90 degees+), new cooler much better (60 degrees). Bargain prize for superb performance!

ARCTIC Freezer is an apt name for this product. Going from stock cpu fan to this has dropped my temps with the cpu on all cores working hard to 50C often cooler. Idle the temps on my pc are about 27C in a 18C environment. It is in a case with good airflow with front of case fans pushing air into it (Cooler Master H500).Installing: was very easy as my case offered access to the rear of motherboard, so I didn't need to take motherboard out (and all those wires). The instructions at the website are very good and walk you through preparation and installing, there are no instructions in the package, but for a thing to scan to take you to the web site,so have a device ready that can use it as your computer is obviously not able to work and look up site , while you attach cooler.Cons: Satchel of paste you get, be careful how you cut it open your first squeeze could be messy, should of been in a syringe. When re-attaching Fans hold the clips from nearest motherboard (bottom) as you clasp to avoid the metal hinge clasps coming out as it's black on black and hard to find hole if it pops out as did with me on first clasp.I would normally down grade because of the cons my rating, I am however very impressed , just how much this keeps my CPU cool, how quite it is and also how it clears my RAM but fits in my case so well without any issues.I am very happy with my purchase.

Putting my first build through all sorts of CPU-intensive tasks (even lacking a GPU!), I have yet to get it above 61°C with this small, light, inexpensive push/pull air cooler. The prescribed technique to apply the included* paste was a slightly unexpected squirting along individual exposed heat pipes as opposed to a grain of rice-size blop to the center of the IHS, but the results speak for themselves. Other aspects of installation were easy to follow from Arctic’s website (QR code included in packaging), though inexperience & a tight case meant I had to disconnect the back (pull) fan to get at other wires for cable management, after this was installed. Reattachment was a breeze & it continues to work great!I’ll only consider replacement once out of warranty and/or with a small enough thermosiphon (IceGiant’s 2020 Pro Elite is stilltoo tall for my case), likely not a water cooler unless the whole system is warranted for a period that rivals the (single-component, I assume?) amazingly long 10-year warranty on this!Lastly, Amazon accidentally sent the wrong color originally (not Arctic’s fault so doesn’t affect review score, but good to know), but return (within 30 days) & replacement with the right color were quick & easy!* A packet of MX-4 is included, though in full disclosure I applied more easily from an MX-4 tube I already had, and kept the packet for later.

The Ugly: there are two standoff sizes in the bag. Don't make the same mistake I did by following the manual to the letter and using the smaller standoffs. While they work fine on my motherboard (Aorus B450 Elite), the threads are just a little too short and don't protrude far enough out of the bracket holes. The bad: installation was a nightmare. Not counting my "user error" issues. While trying to reclip a fan back in the bottom rod on one of the clips that holds the clip to the heatsink at the bottom came out on one side and continued to. I have a DeepCool Kendomen so had just about enough room to rehook the bottom of the clip without grazing a finger. The good: Once all connected, the first thought that entered my mind is how isolated the fans are. You can only hear the air moving (on silent BIOS setting around 29c. Something like 30%). I set up a custom fan curve; these are inaudible under 26%. Computer is roughly four feet away from me under a desk. The magnificent: I overclocked my Ryzen 2600 to 3.7GHz using auto voltage, ran Prime95 for fifteen minutes and temps didn't see higher than 60c at 50% with and without the case fans spinning. The top case fans didn't make much difference in terms of heat exhaustion. The only heat I could really feel was coming from my idling Strix 1060. One downside actually, the back of my computer feels like car exhaust. :D

Bought this for a Ryzen 3600 after not being particularly enamoured by the stock cooler.Pretty easy to fit: remove stock heatsink; clean down the thermal paste as best as possible; affix specific mounting bracket to board; apply the supplied thermal paste and make a right mess; attach new heatsink to supplied mounting bracket; fiddle around attaching fans making sure they're the right way around thus avoiding needing to do it again! The only real pain was getting the fans attached with the springy clip things but I did all this with the motherboard still in the case so the space was limited. If you were to do all this outside the case, probably a piece of cake.Performance is great - a vast improvement on the stock cooler. You can really crank the fan curve down to have the fans running at a low RPM to make it near silent, as it cools so well. It is quite large with a fan on either side but there were no issues on my B450 Tomahawk Max with the RAM etc. I'd go as far as to say it performs slightly better than the AIO I have in my other PC.Only slight negative point is there is a bit of humming/howling at certain RPMs but you could again adjust the fan curve to avoid those points if you get the same problem and it bothers you. Good kit at a good price.I've attached a video of the thing in action at standard/idle RPMs so you can (not) hear it!

Extremely happy with it. Feels very good quality and for the price I'm amazed at the performance. It keeps my CPU around 35 degrees when idle and around 60 degrees on a heavy load (mainly gaming). Even though it has two large fans it's very quiet. You CAN hear it when its ramps up but it doesn't vibrate or rattle. For comparison my GPU (GTX 1080) is louder. Things are quite tight in my case but an added bonus of this cooler is that it has also lowered the ambient temperature because its two fans pull and push air. My PSU, GPU and RAM sticks all run cooler because any heat in the case is pushed out through the fans and out the back. Amazing design. When you see the installation instructions it might seem complicated to install but if you follow step by step its actually very easy (when compared to other after market coolers) I had it installed in 30 minutes even though it was a tight fit.Small note: make sure your case/motherboard etc are configured in a way that fits the cooler. Even if technically you have space consider its more box like shape. Its not that its too large but because the heat sync is quite tall AND wide on both axes it has more of a square profile. So just make sure it doesn't block you CPU power connector or overlap with you RAM etc.All in all I cant recommend it enough at around £40.

My wife was fed up with the noise made by the stock cooler that came with my Intel i7 8900 3.2Ghz processor (socket LGA 1151), so I purchased the Arctic 34 (grey) to replace it. This comes with all the bits you need including thermal paste. You have to access both over and and underneath the motherboard to fit this, the installation is a little fiddly but not massively over-complicated and the digital manual was fine for me.This thing is tall, be sure your PC case has a CPU cooler max height of 157mm or greater, my case actually states this as the absolute max and it just about fits. It seems no wider than the stock cooler so the surrounding sockets (RAM, PCI-E etc.)are still accessible as before. My processor has Thermal Design Power (TDP) of 65 watts, and this seems to be no problem, this can handle up to 150w, apparently. It runs very quietly, I can barely hear it, if at all. When running CPU intense tasks, like games, it remains quiet. I tried this with playing Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on 'epic' set graphics, there was not a sound and the CPU temperature reached a max of 65 degrees celsius only. The CPU idle temperature is around 30 degrees C.The cooler is heavier (605 g) than the stock cooler that came with the processor, but it's worth it. £20 is a decent price, too.
