Given its price point this is a great cooler that I would recommend or buy again. The cooler has additional brackets to mount a second fan if it is really needed.I got the cooler to pair with a ryzen 2700 (the non x variant 65w) in a pc case that has poor air flow (jonsbo U3 which I already owned). The case has only one exhaust fan aswell as using the psu fan for exhaust (psu is at the top). My goal with my built was to built a silent pc and I succeeded. In a room at 24C, the case closed, the exhaust fan at 100% rpms as well as with cpu fan running at 100% rpms I got 49C running Prime95 small FFT test (the test that stresses the CPU). With the MB silent fan mode selected the test reached 59C with both fans (case and CPU)running below 900 rpm and the PSU fan off. I now run the fans in silent mode. The test where done with the original arctic fan. I eventually replaced the fan for the noctua redux 1300 which I pulled from my old system and it is a bit more silent giving only 1c performance hit. I am very happy moving from old noisy aio with 2300 rpm to this solution which is virtually silent.I knocked 1 star because the fan has a higher start RPM than the noctua (at 20% pwm the noctua runs 300rpm where the arctic cpu is running 550rpm). This means you need to use the fan tuning to keep the noise down. But this is just me since I am a bit picky with noise.Lastly, when you mount please make sure to put the screws in the correct orientation, I placed one screw the wrong and I had to redo the mounting.

Installation [MSI Tomahawk Max B450]---------------------------------------------This cooler took about 5 minutes to install. The instructions are available on the Arctic website (none were included in the box). All necessary mounting accessories were included for an AM4 socket. Fan spring clips are also included if you wish to add a second fan in a push pull configuration. I was worried that the when the standoff mounts were attached to the motherboard backplate the fitting was loose however when the cooler was screwed into the standoffs there is no play so don't worry if you find this when installing (MSI Tomahawk Max b450).Performance----------------The stock wraith stealth cooler includedwith the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 would post max temps around 80-85 Celsius when subjected to ten minutes of an Intel burn test at normal. During this time the cooler was far too loud, obnoxiously so.The Arctic Freezer 34 however provides a maximum temperature of 63 celsius during the same test and is objectively much quieter (on the same PWN fan curve settings configured in the BIOS)For disclosures sake, , my system is housed in a Phanteks Enthoo with all fan spots occupied and working in positive pressure.Conclusion-------------This cooler costs £20 ! The performance in both temperatures and noise levels are more than worth it for this price and are competitive with coolers 3-4x the cost. I am very happy with this purchase and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone with a Ryzen 3600 or higher.

Firstly I was fitting this to an MSI AM4 board so can't vouch for installation on others. The fitting was without complications and fairly simple with good online instructions. I chose not to tighten the clamp firmly to the provided spacer posts, using my judgement of when it was fixed down enough. The thermal paste provided was plenty and will leave enough for another refit if necessary (always taught to put a thin even coat on - I stipple it on with a finger until even).I have a Ryzen 3600 but with the upgraded Wraith Spire from a 1700, which was ok, but quite audible when overclocking. Therefore I went for the basic Arctic 34 to improve this and wow, dropped from 86C to 73C and the fan isn't even running full speed and is much quieter. I'm seeing normal use at around 40C, and the only issue is that it probably doesn't need the fan running at all but I don't know yet whether the fan or the mobo is limiting to a minimum of 220 RPM - it will be inaudible anyway.Even though this shouldn't be an issue in standard cases unless you have side case fans, when fitted there is only about 1cm clearance on my tower case. Therefore in summary. Easy to fit to my AM4 motherboard if following the instructions, the spacer posts are marked to identify them. The costs was far better than some of the competition and is easily met my hopes on cooling ability and quietness.

My wife was fed up with the noise made by the stock cooler that came with my Intel i7 8900 3.2Ghz processor (socket LGA 1151), so I purchased the Arctic 34 (grey) to replace it. This comes with all the bits you need including thermal paste. You have to access both over and and underneath the motherboard to fit this, the installation is a little fiddly but not massively over-complicated and the digital manual was fine for me.This thing is tall, be sure your PC case has a CPU cooler max height of 157mm or greater, my case actually states this as the absolute max and it just about fits. It seems no wider than the stock cooler so the surrounding sockets (RAM, PCI-E etc.)are still accessible as before. My processor has Thermal Design Power (TDP) of 65 watts, and this seems to be no problem, this can handle up to 150w, apparently. It runs very quietly, I can barely hear it, if at all. When running CPU intense tasks, like games, it remains quiet. I tried this with playing Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on 'epic' set graphics, there was not a sound and the CPU temperature reached a max of 65 degrees celsius only. The CPU idle temperature is around 30 degrees C.The cooler is heavier (605 g) than the stock cooler that came with the processor, but it's worth it. £20 is a decent price, too.

I upgraded my PC to use a Ryzen 5 3600 cpu so it would be better able to process tasks required by Folding-at-Home to help with COVID-19 analysis. At first, I found that the CPU was running typically at around 85 to 90 deg C on coolish days. Alarmingly this easily went up if the ambient temp went up. This is very close to the stated maximum for the cpu and is not sustainable long term. Adding 4 new case fans helped but only gave 4 or 5 degrees better cooling. I'd previously used an Arctic Freezer with my over-clocked Xeon 3650 and it did a great job so using the Freezer 34 for this application was an easy choice and I'm very pleased with the result. The cpu now typically runs at around 65 degC under high load for hours on end AND it's extremely quiet. It's running at full load (95%) now as I type this so all fans are running flat out and I can barely hear them. The stock AMD Raith cooler sounded more light a light aircraft by comparison.

The cooler is used on a R5 3600 (not overclocked) Depending on the power profile selected and a fan curve, cooler performs quite well. Temps at idle are around 37°C (power saver profile @cca 430rpm) and around 40°C (Ryzen high performance @cca600rpm). During the Cinebench R20 multicore they oscilate around 68°C (Ryzen high performance @cca 1800rpm) Note, I've installed another Arctic P12 PWM PST fan in a push-pull configuration. However the performance even without the second fan is pretty much the same (+1-2°C), only difference is a noise level. RPM under cca 900 is only hardly noticeable (spinning HDD is louder). This is my second Arctic freezer (first been i32 on i5 6500).I do not play games only use PC for content creation so can not comment on performance during playing, but I am sure that by adjusting fan curve one can achieve very pleasant temperatures while keeping the noise level very low.

Incredibly easy to install after Googling for a YouTube vid. AMD Ryzen 5 3600 now idles at 34 degrees C and max temps under prolonged stress testing 73 degrees C with processor maxing at 59 degrees C in long gaming sessions (RDR2/Modern Warfare), bearing in mind this is a MITX system with pretty constrained airflow. Fits well in my Fractal Node 304 mini ITX case. Only small criticism is you may want to get a tube of thermal paste as the MX4 included in a small sachet is not the easiest to put onto the processor. I gave up and used a syringe I had left over. Volume levels are extremely low, and the cooling performance is only a few degrees north of the significantly more expensive Noctua cooler I had been using previously in a micro ATX build with this processor, while vastly exceeding stock cooler performance.

Purchased this to cool down my Ryzen 2600 - at a 4ghz/1.3v overclock it was reading around 95c on the stock cooler during a stress test so I needed something better! It's not the easiest to install as the online instructions aren't great (I did manage to use the correct standoffs (the ones with a single line through for AM4) but I put the winged brackets on the base the wrong way round initially as the picture wasn't clear (I had to read them on my phone as there are no instructions included in the box just a card with a link on).Once installed though i'm more than happy with the performance, max temp under load with the exact same overclock is now 71c! And much quieter than the stock fan too.I don't think you'd do any better than that for the price I paid (£20 at time of writing).

I bought this to allow me to overclock an old system running on a 3570K, partly to tide me over until I build a new system, partly just for fun. Easy to install with clear instructions, paste, brackets etc. Performs well in my system keeping me at max 61 deg C (room is ~21deg C) under full load at 4.5GHz (bare in mind my CPU is only pulling ~55W though and I have a well ventilated case). Can hear the fan a little, but less loud than one of the case fans. Couldn't really be any happier for such a cheap small cooler

Amazing performance for price, if not the best price to performance out there. The fan can be noisy under load and installation is quite fiddly as you have to press down and bend metal while screwing on caps. Not bad as only a few parts involved. The fan has another header so another fan can be attached to the same motherboard header which is nice. Downside of fan mount is it doesnt fit most fans so changing fan while possible may lead to a new fan falling off, doubt many will do this though.

Recently overclocked my old Core i5 and decided on this cooler. I've been very impressed with its performance vs noise levels. Even running at 100% my CPU never gets about 50c and the fan is bearly audible.Out of curiosity I plonked it on my overclocked Ryzen 7 and again very good performance. The CPU at load sat comfortably in the high 70s. This is a good choice over OEM coolers and ever some cheaper AIOs.

Absolutely brilliant CPU cooler. Installation is a little confusing as the standoffs aren't clearly marked which to use and it's trial and error. That minor annoyance aside the performance from this CPU cooler is brilliant. Keeps my 4ghz 2600 overclocked Ryzen 5 CPU at around 55c during heavy gaming and idles at 25c.For the money this must be one of if not the best CPU coolers on the market.Brilliant

Bought to replace the wraith cooler on my 3600x, cooler installation was easy once you watched the video. It is simple to install, I recomend buying a second arctic fan to attach to the cooler. It worked out cheaper buying this cooler and the extra fan instead of buying the esports duo. The heatsink now keeps my cpu at 25c at idle and max at 45c under load.

8.11.2020

This worked better than expected and was easy to install. It reduced the temperature of my cpu at idle by 20° and continues to perform well. I had considered the freezer 24 duo but was worried about the noise. the fan on this is silent and because it cools so well it has reduced the overall noise of our system.

Having the manual accessed by QR code is strange, but doesn't take away from the quality of the cooler itself. It's very quiet with no buzzing noise and it was easy to install. The r5 2600 is overclocked to 4.1ghz yet temperatures never went beyond 72 degrees under stress testing.
