First let me start by saying I’ve purchased many Anker products over the years, however the SoundCore Red I am writing about was supplied as a sample for test and evaluation, and I promise that my review is fair and honest.I received this speaker several weeks ago, but due to personal things, I never got a chance to write an post this review until now.In the box is the speaker, and a standard micro USB charging cable. Like other Anker products, it does include their 18 month warranty.Paring the speaker with my phone was easy and straightforward. Once paired, it will attempt to reconnect to the last audio device at power up.One very nice feature is the ability to leave the SoundCore plugged into power,and use it. In other words, you don’t have to decide between charging or using the SoundCore. It can be charged by a standard MicroUSB phone charger.Since its a speaker, the most important quality is how it sounds. Being small means you shouldn't expect tremendous bass, but Anker has done a very good job with getting this small speaker to sound very good (considering its size). While there isn't as much bass as a floor standing 12" woofer, it sounds very good for a speaker of this size! However I do feel the Anker Classic Bluetooth Speaker does have a little more bass than this SoundCore. When playing at full volume, the SoundCore is clear, doesn't distort, and is loud enough to be heard in a large room, or outside. It also sounds good a lower volumes, like on my desk in my office.The SoundCore has controls on the top for Power, Volume +/-, Play, and Bluetooth(Pair Device). On the side is a built in Microphone (for hands free phone calls), charging/power LED, the ⅛” input jack and MicroUSB charging port.Anker claims 24hr battery life. I have not been able to test this. I’ve been using it plugged in at my desk to listen to music. When I did use it on battery I did get over 8hrs, so the battery does last very long.When you take into account its size, portability, battery life, and sound quality, this is a great product to take with you on the go when you need something that sounds louder a better than just using your phone's speaker. See title about the strongest point, absolutely amazing unit, lasts forever.The sound quality is good, beats inbuilt speakers in my laptop, phone and a budget TV without breaking a sweat. It is also surprisingly small, a bit smaller than 500ml can.I'm using it as a car radio mostly. It would be perfect for the role, if not for the fact that it requires fiddling around with the phone it is tethered to to change songs.Very minimalistic in its design. Can be a good or a bad thing.The device has a lot of its own quirks, but they are nothing that can't be figured out within the first week of use. I'd say the worst part about it is the Bluetooth untether button placed next to the Volume Up button.That, and the fact that because of its small size, simple design and a matte black paint, this thing is absolutely invisible.While writing this, I went to look around for it to have its size compared. So I was in the market to buy a Bluetooth speaker and I wasn't quite sure wether I should buy this or to spend more and buy a fancy one.(With audio equipment I don't buy budget stuff)I finally decided to go for it, seeing the price was so good and the reviews are quite positive as well and I've never had any problems with the Anker products. After a few weeks of usage I'm happy to report that this is a fantastic Bluetooth speaker.The sound quality matches the much more expensive ones (the £100 ones) and the battery is crazy good.I'm trying to come up with something that I don't like about this, but for the price I paid they're perfect.If all of this sounds good to you,do yourself a favour and go for it.

YEP, I BOUGHT 3! ALL PRESANTS, I GOT THE BLACK ONE & BLUETOOTH IS EXCELLENT ON THIS COMPACKED SPEAKERS, SO MY OTHER DAUGHTER WANTED ONE FOR HER BIRTHDAY,SHE WANTED BLACK TO. THEN MY PORTABLE SPEAKER BROKE! I GOT THE RED ONE, I USE IT IN THE BATHROOM & WHILEST CLEANING AROUND THE HOUSE, I USE A JACK LEAD & MY MP3 PLAYER, NOT BLUETOOTH AND THE QUALITY IS STILL LOUD & CLEAR, I DO LIKE THE BASS! BLUETOOTH IS ALOT LOUDER, BUT JUST AS CLEAR, OH THE RUBBERY FEEL STOPS IT SLIPPING & MAKES IT EASYER TO HOLD, I HAVE BAD HANDS, AND IT'S SPLASH PROOF,AND I LOVE MY RED ONE. This speaker is great for the money. It has a nice robust feel. The buttons are very tactile and pairing to the speaker is very simple. For a 6 watt output, it is very loud. easily filled my room with sound. Charging it doesn't take too long which is a plus and I have payed for money for a worse bluetooth speaker which is now broken. This was a great investment. The size also surprised. Its a little lacking on bass but I'm still very impressed with it. Battery life is amazing, as I have used it everyday since I got it. Really like this.

This is a really great speaker. I'm just bowled over by the sound, which is room filling and the great battery life. Anker are on to a winner here. The product has a really solid build quality and the sound quality is quite amazing. I use the speaker primarily for Spotify and listening to podcasts when I get home from work. The device worked straight out of the box with no problems and easily pairs with my iPhone/ Nexus or PC. I've been using this speaker for over 6 months now without fault. Well done Anker on a great product.

Wow... I bought this as a small portable Bluetooth speaker to use instead of the phone speaker on loud for various music.I was thinking that due to the popularity of it that is should be OK..... I underestimated just how amazing it is.For its size it is fantastic sounding and fantastic clarity and quite loud for such a small device.Looks great. Sounds fantastic. So very easy to use and connect.There is nothing to dislike for this price range.

I’m amazed at the sound quality and volume from this Anker speaker. It truly is amazing. I’ve had it about a month now and use it between 1 and 3 hours a day and haven’t had to charge it yet!! The colour is such a beautiful red to. It’s sturdy and got a bit of weight to it so it’s fantastic for the price. I can take it anywhere which was really important for me. It really has all I need. 10 out of 10. What more can I say!

After having many speakers all to listen to while working I have never found one that gives so much battery life and sounds great. Volume is good and it sounds crisp not tinny like other speakers. The battery life is insanely good i work 12 hour shifts so I can honestly say the battery life is crazy. If you want a decent speaker without costing the earth this is the one for you

This is a great little Bluetooth speaker, especially if you can get it on sale for about £20. I initially bought the black version to be used in the car, and was so impressed with the sound quality and battery life that I purchased the same speaker in red for my wife.Both now get plenty of use around the house, and connect quickly and easily to our phone and tablets

I'm rarely moved to write reviews about purchases but this is just FANTASTIC!!! I've turned my tele off tonight and just had music fom my Ipod on all night with this speaker. Clear sound. Zero feedback. I've had rock, classical and synth music on and it handles all I've thrown at it with ease. My hubby wants one now to replaceour aged Ipod dock.

Bought this after other great reviews and i wasn't disappointed. Great product, really good sound. Can sound a little tinny if turned up really high or lots of base but is good to use in a wide space, the music sounds clear and the volume does go higher if needed. For the price it beats other players hands down. I'd definitely recommend!

Decent product and takes ages to require a charge up as I have only needed to do it once so far but I only use it an hour a day and I have owned it for 4 months.Easily connected to my iPhone and iPod and iPad through the Bluetooth but also via cable worked fine to.Sound is decent for a small speaker and I have no complaints.

This is my second Anker purchase. The first being the Soundcore Mini. This, again, is another wonderful piece of kit for a great price. Fantastic packaging and presentation also. Speaker is exactly what I needed, the Mini but with more clarity. Handles bass better than I expected. If officially become an Anker fanboy.

I bought this item when my JBL flip 2 ditched me with its USB port gone off. I am glad that I decided to purchase this product.I charge it once and play it on weekends for 2-3 hours. It goes on for 2 weeks with single charge. Amazing battery life!! Totally worth the price with good quality sound!
