Oh this one - such a dream come true :)Over all I wouldnt have been any happier buying some other bluetooth speaker system. This is a must buy... For details see below:Build Quality - Cant ask for more premium feel. This is amazing, you can toss it, throw it, immerse with it, bath with it in the shower, etc it feels and does great. Even when you simply hold in your hands it feels amazing. the central strip with the huge + and - buttons is high quality rubber and it well doneDesign - The design is brilliant, stricking and simple. everything you need is on it in the most simplest and intuitive way. Such a blissSound Quality - the most important parameter. I run a studio and audio quality is most important for me.This one has crystal clear audio even at very high volume levels. The bass doesnt lose impact even at high level and the treble doesnt interfere too much even at high levels.. overall. they are crisp, and neat :) I would love slightly more thump on the bass but yea at this budget ? :DBattery - Man this was such a pleasent surprise to me.. they market 15hours on the batter after a 100% charge and I really did get 15.5 hours after a full charge. It was upto 3 hours in a stretch with breaks but the total hours clocked was 15.5 hours untill it completely went dead.. but even the best part when you reach 15% you get a vocal prompt saying that the battery is low :) how nice.Mobile App - wow what a thinking... an application that lets you control the hardware's volume, turn it off (of course cant turn it on as you are not conneted when its off:) ), configure equilizer which actually works... and best of all.. connect more than 1 UE bluetooth speakers to host parties? I think I would do it just for the amazing fun and effect of them :)Loudness - ok now watch out, this could get really loud and I mean it... for a device with a very good sound quality accross the frequencies, I didnt expect it to reach such high volumes. This one is amazingPackaging - This speakers comes in one of the best packaging that I have seen till date. Kudos to the design team.

Three month review.Great overall speaker. This cost me 100 euros + 16 to ship to Greece. Considering it retails for about 170 to 200 euros here, this was a really good price. I was really afraid of the problems I might have with it, because the reviews are very controversial. I listen to Rock, Metal, Electro Swing and sometimes house. I must admit it does not have the most bass heavy sound, but it's ok. You might want to look elsewhere if you want a boomy sound. I use the built-in bass boost preset, and it does the job for me. It gets so loud that my neighbor might complain if I play it at max volume. It's so small and yet so powerful. Sound quality, 7.5/10Now to the bad stuff. It has some sort of battery metering issue. I feel like it lasts for about 10-12 hours, but I don't listen to it every day to check exactly how much by draining it at once. That said, sometimes it will last 5-6 hours only losing 10% but after reaching 45% it will immediately go down to 10-15%. Or sometimes after reaching full charge, you'll open it and it'll show you have 30% battery left. I assume there's something going on with the sensor, but that's only annoying and causes no trouble (unless you go out thinking you have 50% but you actually have 20%). The last one is easily fixed if you put it on a charger for 2-3 minutes. On max volume, it loses much of its bass sound. I assume, it raises the treble and mid to reach such volume, that's why the bass is reduced. I never need to play it that loud though. Would buy it again, totally worth it. Also, props to Logitech for making such a great package, it feels like unboxing something special. The colors are very pretty too.

I love these speakers. A couple years back I did my research and decided upon the Boom 2 which I bought for my girlfriend. Every time we took it out to use there was always interest from others, “that sounds great!”, “what speaker is that?” and, “that’s cool” when we told them what it can do i.e. connect up to 150 speakers together or DJ mode.DJ mode (or whatever they call it) allows you to connect to multiple devices and queue up music from each individually so everyone can input their own tunes.I’ve never connected more than 2 Booms together but when you do you can play the same audio through both at the same time for more coverage or louder music. You can also choose stereo mode where it will play left and right audio separately which is a nice feature but pretty pointless for music most of the time.So I eventually bought myself a Boom 2 after being told from the other half I had to stop using hers all the time. Luckily I spotted an amazing deal - buy any 2 for £170 which I believe is a steal; any deal for £100 and under I would consider a great purchase also. I went with this deal as my sister was buying one for her husband for Christmas after he claimed he wanted one after hearing my girlfriends at a family gathering. The speakers Ultimate Ears make are waterproof (not resistant so they CAN be submerged for something like 30 minutes) and shockproof so they can be dropped and get back up again without any issues.Long story short if you’re looking for a great Bluetooth speaker and you care about sound quality and also ruggedness then buy a UE Boom 2 and you won’t regret it. You might end up taking it into the shower like I do ?

Im sure the first thing everyone wants to know is what's the difference between the UE Boom2 and the Boom 2 lite, to be honest I think the UE marketing department have done a pants job in making the difference clear, I've even read a number of reviews where people have said that the boom 2 lite is cheaper because its smaller, less well made or sound is inferior to the 'normal' boom 2.I orignally bought a boom 2 (in Blue) last year and was impressed with the sound, durability and music play time. Its had some abuse and been solid. So this year I decided to get another boom. Could not find anywhere what the difference was so ended up getting the boom 2 lite (in black)because it was on a daily deal.I can say that they are the same thing. I underlined the model numbers in red (not sure if it comes out clearly) I've also taken side by side shots of the UE Boom 2 and the UE boom 2 lite box and contents. The boom 2 lite has a smaller box and no USB plug. That my friends is the only difference it comes with a charging cable and you have to use your own USB plug.I mulled getting the UE Boom 3 but decided against it as I could only find the difference being the design and slightly better waterproofing. To get this better waterproof rating the Boom 3 loses the aux port which being a bit older and more sentimental about things than the average user I still like. As i understand it the internal sound outputs are the same so it's not like a massive improvement in sound.Overall i love the fact that you can play a song over a bunch of these at the same time so it does give you a good immersive sound, for the money it's great value.

I had one of these for about 18 months and was very impressed. Great for around the house and for holidays. Was bought a second one at Christmas, downloaded the app, paired them together and ..... Wow!!Someone mentioned earlier about the lack of bass.Get your settings right on the UE app and you won't have any such issues. The app itself could maybe be a bit more responsive and less buggy, but once you've got yourself familiar with it, it's very easy to use. Also, it took a few attempts to get the app to recognise my second speaker initially. Think I had about 4 attempts, but it eventually picked it up. It's found it first time ever since.Best tip I can give is to restore all your source device's settings to standard,ie shut down surround sound, concert effect, etc and just have it playing straight and true.I'm using either a Galaxy S7, or a 2017 Ipad as my source devices and playing Spotify through them. There are EQ settings on the UE app that you can then customise to your own tastes.I found that if you had both the Soource device and UE's own EQ running that the audio was a bit mushy when listening on 2 units. Also, for anyone that was wondering, the UE app will deliver either single or stereo sound through both paired speakers. You will have a choice.

I've had Minirigs for years, since they came out. Been through about 4 of them, while at the time I thought they were the best thing ever lately I have been dissapointed with their toughness. A drop from about 1 meter onto tarmac left 2 of the plastic cone mounting points shattered. Plus not waterproof, and the short round shape which does look nice is actually highly inconvenient for carrying. Searched around a bit until I decided to give UE a try, the Boom2 seemed to be roughly equivalent to a minirig.Firstly the build quality is very high. The thing is properly tough, and waterproof. I have dropped it, splashed it, had it bounce around an all terrain forklift cab for over a week with absolutely no problems at all. It's also very loud.Louder than the Minirig, and definitely a better sound reproduction. The shape and feel of it are very good, it's drinks can shape fits in pockets nicely, The synthetic fabric and hard rubber surfaces are resilient and easy to clean. The bluetooth connectivity is idiot proof and works flawlessly. The only thing Minirig has over this is battery life, I'd say you get a few more hours out of a Minirig on a full charge, but to be honest about 8 hours of full volume playing is plenty.

This speaker is the best thing I've ever bought! The battery lasts over a week before I have to charge it, (and I use the speaker at least an hour every day). I've had this 6 months now and I never need to charge it too often.I'm not a really techy person so I can't tell you much about the bass or any other technical things but I can say the sound quality is amazing and crisp. The volume is great too, even outside it doesn't get lost at all its brilliant.I love the tap controls (one tap on the top of the speaker pauses music and two taps changes the song), they're really handy when you're phone isn't next to you. It's a really easy-to-use speaker, once it's connected to your Bluetooth device (phone, laptop, tablet, etc.), all you have to do is turn it on and it'll automatically connect to it.This has a good range too, I can leave my phone in another room and the speaker will still be able to stay connected.Even the packaging and speakers design is wonderful, everybody always says how stylish it looks! I can't fault this speaker at all it's everything you need in a speaker, it's even waterproof!! (Although I haven't tried getting it wet)Bottom line, if you're considering buying this I strongly recommend it

I've been dead against Bluetooth connectivity for Sound Quality as with everything, you cannot replace wired sound with wireless.I caved as when we install machinery, we whack some tunes on and it passes the day on quite well. The sound this little cylinder of joy punches out is very good, whether wired with the 3.5mm aux or through bluetooth. Not bass heavy and very balanced sound. The dedicated app you can download allows custom eq if needed but I've never needed too at all. It's loud enough to fill a large room and because it has sound projected all the way around it, it does it better if your moving round it. The sound doesn't feel contained to a flat panel.Battery life is good and can easily get a full day use from it,maybe 2 if you don't use bluetooth and go 3.5mm aux instead.I personally like that option as I still have and use MP3 players without Bluetooth connectivity. We tested the Bose mini Bluetooth speaker and found it tinny and trying to be bigger than it was. At a more expensive price, it was a no brainer to get this.Over all, I've had the speaker 18 months and still use it every few weeks with battery life slightly worse (you'd expect that) but more than capable for a full day's worth.

It has a good range of sound, but not a great clarity of bass if you have it on the highest volume, but for the size and portability of it, it sounds great to me. I have a very wide range of music tastes and even with the volume up quite high, it all sounds good to me.I have taken it to friends, use it in the bath when watching movies (it is waterproof which is handy), move it round the place while I am cleaning or singing in the shower. Really am getting the use of out it.It was £69.99 on an offer, which I think is a fair price. The only smaller, portable units that have a better sound that I have experienced have been Bose or Sony, which have been at a minimum at £200. So depending on what you want to spend, would depend on whether or not you'd want to go for this model. It's great for what I need it for, can go nice and loud for use at a summer BBQ and being as I listen to a lot of rock, doesn't distort if you use the EQ settings in the app.On that note, the app is useful to get access to all the additional features of having multiple "DJs" or to add other UE Booms. You can also set up alarms through it which is a little bonus feature.

Firstly shipping was a day late but was received early on the day so I wasn't too bothered. The device was well packaged and came with everything needed to get started. The speaker is very minimal with a high build quality and it is very easy to connect and pair and play music. One thing I liked in particular was the app, it is very useful and allows you to rename the speaker change audio profiles and connect to multiple speakers. The build quality is very nice the speaker is covered by a tight woven mesh fabric and the rest is a simple matte finish rubber/plastic. Buttons are responsive however the gesture control is temperamental to say the least. The battery lasts for ages, sound quality is more than adequate and more importantly does not distort notably at high volumes. One thing I found was despite the speaker being water resistant it does take a while to dry out and leaves the fabric looking slightly worn.To conclude, I would definitely recommend this speaker to anyone who wants an all round good speaker.

Following research on WHICH I have just bought a Ultimate Ears BOOM 2 Wireless/Bluetooth Speaker (Waterproof and Shockproof) - Phantom Black or so I thought for about £60.00. Now I have received a BOOM 2 LITE which is not what Anazon was apparently offering on their promotional . According to one reviewer the only difference between the two is that the LITE is supplied with a USB lead as opposed to a wall charger. As it happens this is not a problem for me but I am concerned that I do not seem to have the facility to change tracks etc. by tapping the top of the unit, as stated in the spec. Also on further investigation there would appear to be several different spec for the Boon 2 n not just colour ways but also size and weights, which seems a bit odd I am happy enough otherwise, the pairing process and the sound is great and the app from the play store works well . I am tempted to return this as it's not what I think I ordered, but I thought i'd seek clarification first Confused or what!!!!

I've seen the UE Boom 2 priced anywhere from £60-160 over the past 5 years.I bought one for about £80 4 years ago and genuinely think it has given me value even if I'd paid double that. It is VERY waterproof. I've completely submerged it under water for a good 30 seconds on a few occasions and it doesn't even notice. I've dropped it on concrete and other hard surfaces numerous times (accidentally - I'm not a mentalist), and it doesn't show a scratch. The battery life has always been brilliant and hasn't seemed to reduce over the years I've had it and I use it for hours every day.I've seen that there is now the UE Boom 3 out which would be the logical follow up purchase should this one ever let me down. But A: I don't see it letting me down anytime soon and 2: when it does I will buy the same again because if you can get one for under £100, it's the perfect, robust portable speaker.

I've had this little speaker for a few months now and absolutely love it. It provides great sound quality and impressive volume. I've not needed to have it at full volume yet. I use it to accompany choirs that I run and in music therapy work. The great thing about it is that it can be washed/wiped so can be used directly with vulnerable patients and cleaned in between. It has also survived a couple of clumsy drops on a hard floor, and apart from a small scuff you wouldn't know. Two little things I don't like are that on the lowest volumes (think background music) there is quite a big contrast between volume levels. This tends to mean it's either too loud or too quiet. Also, the sound the speaker makes when it switches on and off is pretty loud and irritating but then I may just be being picky. I would recommend this if you're looking for good quality sound, decent volume and durability.

Purchased this item, not from this site but from local retail store. After my old Ipod Nano give up the ghost I decided to purchase the new Ipod touch. Viewed a range of blue-tooth speakers and the sound quality blew all the others away. Recently used it in a church and it filled the building with sound. Even on max volume there is no distortion to the sound. Used it also on holiday with great results. Easy to pair with any device and automatically turns off if it receives no signal after a while.Guy in the store recons it will run for about 15 hours. I have only charged it up once and given it a boost before we went on holiday. Still working so I am impressed with the rechargeable battery capacity.Would highly recommend this speaker for home and outdoor use. Would be a great asset for any party. Its portable and even waterproof. You will not regret purchasing this item.

The UE series is known for their sound and I love them! I've bought the UE Mini Boom and two UE Booms and will continue to buy more when needed! The size of the speaker is really compact which makes it great for holidays or travelling. It's a little bit on the heavy side, or rather, it's heavier than it looks! The exterior is made from a matte rubber and seems very hard wearing. The speaker itself is super loud, easily enough to keep a party in a large room going. The fact you can pair multiple speakers together makes it even better. The quality is very good too with decent bass and highs produced. It's also very straight forward to pair with my phone and I love the bongo sounds it has to indicate it's on/pairing etc.One thing I would like to see the UE series do is move to USB-C connections as micro USB is dated in 2018!
