Okay, so you know that you love a product when you can definitely see yourself replacing it with the same thing when it stops working or becomes too old. I love this dish drainer, which is also a mat. Dishes can be dried on the rack and pots and pans can be left on the mat. When there are no dishes to dry you can fold it up and store it in your cupboard giving you a clean looking sink area. You can remove the rack and pop the mat into the washing machine, which I think makes this product so hygienic. The rack part can become discoloured over time with lime scale, and this is harder to clean between the slats. However, I leave it in a sink of hot water with bleach which seems to do the trick.

EDIT - after using this a couple of times I discovered one slight flaw in the design. There is no waterproof backing to the product so, although it is very absorbent, some moisture does pass through onto the counter top. As a result it wouldn't be suitable for use on surfaces such as wood worktops.I'm very pleased with this product. I was looking for a lightweight, compact drainer for use in our caravan; this certainly meets both criteria! Draining mats have been around for a while, but what sets this one apart from the others is the plate stand. It is light but sturdy and holds plates securely as well as considerably increasing the capacity of the drainer.

Bought this item as a replacement for the collapsible one we had in our campervan which for the limited space we had in the van took up too much room and basically we never used but THIS one is perfect. We have corelle plates and they fit on the drainer, it does not tip over, fits next to the smev sink in our van and is great. It fits neatly away and does what it was intended to be used for a drainer. Even when fairly wet after 4 days washing up it was not making the side wet, just brought it home, gentle machine wash, air dry and its ready for our next adventure. I can def recommend this esp for camping and limited space. Its perfect. :-)

This is not a conventional drying rack and whilst I wouldn't want it to replace my standard drying rack, it is surprising useful as an overflow rack. Where I would usually place down a towel on the work surface to try and catch all the drips from the drying plates and utensils, the material of this rack is much thicker and therefore much more absorbent. It sits securely on the worktop, holding the plates upright without any issues and I think as well as an overflow rack, it would also be useful to take on a caravanning or camping holiday as it packs down easily and you can of course wash it after use.

The Umbra 330720 Udry Drying Mat with folding towel is ideal for someone with limited space in their kitchen, you can concentrate all your dishes in one small area with room for cutlery and other items to dry before you put them away.Its an ideal gift say for someone just moving away from home or a couple with their first flat, a very practical item for someone with not too much space in their kitchen or kitchenette.

Great little drying mat. The rack for the dishes works great. Love that I can just fold it up and put it away when I’m not using it. Has survived multiple washes but I air dry it instead of putting it in the dryer as I don’t want it to get wrinkled up. Great little product. It’s perfect size for a one or two people household. Don’t know if it’s be enough for a family with kids (lots more dishes!!).

For some reason it won't let me attached photos to my review. I took some photos to show that it's a great size/space saver, folds away neatly and fits perfectly in a drawer. I have a Belfast sink so needed to think of another way to drain after washing up. I didn't know whether this would be any good, but for £10 I thought it was worth a try. Very glad I did and would definitely reccomend ?

I bought my first one last summer in Toronto and regretted not having bought two instead (as I have two dish drainers). After an unsuccessful purchase of a cheap "lookalike" I finally found the same at Amazon. An excellent quality mat that absorbs the excess water without allowing it to penetrate through. Large size for greater coverage with movable crockery drainer. Very pleased!

This is just a great product as I have a new modern kitchen and didn't want anything unnecessary on the kitchen surface. It's easy to store as folds in on itself, the material absorbs water quickly and dry's quickly. It's great quality and will clearly last a long time. I now cannot live without it so had to buy a spare one for that day I have to part with the original.

I bought this to de clutter my kitchen counter and it’s done the job. For some reason it encourages me to put everything away unlike a traditional rack so overall very tidy.The small plate stand is sturdy.The towel/ fabrics base is well padded (for glasses) and absorbent.It dries quickly and doesn’t smell - hardly seems to need a wash but I do anyway.

Brilliant.If you do the dished for 1 or 2 people every day, it's perfect. Right size without being too big, can fold and be put away easily, and dries easily as well, and quite discreet in the kitchen.A note for those who have really large&heavy plates (~10inch or more): those are a bit less stable on their sides but still hold.

We recently got a new kitchen, with new countertops and we didn't want to have something on our island permanently ruining the eyeline of the room (sink is on island). This is great. Absorbs well, big enough for non-plate items and folds away under the counter when not in use. One of the best buys since we got our kitchen.

I love this! Bought it for my motorhome where kitchen space is at a premium. Holds plates and cups, and knives and forks go on the absorbent pad. The absorbent pad is just that! Absorbent! It also dries very quickly after use. Brilliant. I can store it away to use the space in my kitchen and then get it out for washing up.

The item is slightly different to the picture and has probably been revised. Very handy for small spaces or to be taken camping or In caravan etc, but also how I am using it as an extra dish rack and drying mat as and when needed. Then it’s either slipped under main rack or folded up out of the way. Extremely versatile.

Arrived quickly. I am really pleased with this drying rack /mat. It’s unobtrusive , I use a dish washer for most of my dishes, but for non stick pans and delicate things I wash by hand and this rack/ mat is ideal , it soaks all the excessive water. you can rinse it out and dry the mat easilyI would highly recommend
