The Glenlivet 18 is an excellent example of an older Scotch whisky at a reasonable price point. This dram provides excellent value for money in terms of the quality and complexity of the contents. Below are some of my nosing and tasting notes from spending some time with this whisky.Firstly it is my belief that this whisky is chill filtered (Glenlivet state this on their website) although not to the same extent as some other whiskies. This can affect the mouthfeel of a whisky. I also believe that there is additional caramel colouring in it, a subject which splits whisky fans.Nosing:Red apples, spices such as nutmeg & cinnamon, Malted barley (reminiscent of being in the mash house of a distillery),

The definition of a Sunday... in a glass. Very smooth and light, with just a hint of smokiness complimenting the fruity ish flavour. I haven’t come across anyone that can say “No!” to it yet. Not on the priciest side of the same age of single malts as well, still not an everyday drink. If you ever wondered should you give it a try, go for it. It’s totally worth it!

I bought this as a gift internationally and it was delivered quickly without a problem. I was kept updated on its progress the entire time. The only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is because there was no option to purchase as gift, so I guess my friend saw how much I spent and I couldn't have it wrapped or come with a card or anything.

Got it on offer for £77 one of the best 18 years old malts I love to drink like wise I do drink more posh expensive whiskys now and then but this one has a really good loving taste to the age, didn't like the 15 years old one of the glenlivet I highly recommend the 18 or 12 years old but can't wait to try the 25 years old one next year.

Bought as a birthday treat a choice between this and some other 18 year olds, not disappointed, it had sweetness and spice, a little extra strength at 43% and smooth with a lingering finish, a shame it's not natural colour and chill filtered but can't fault the taste, Will hopefully try the 21 y/o if I can afford it

Like the normal Livet but with a significantly greater depth of flavour and smoothness. Are there better malts for this price Hell yes, should you buy well of course you should you'll be a long time pushing up the daisies so treat yourself

Bought this for my dad and he loved it. He is really into his whiskey and knows a good one. He said this was one of the best he has had. Came in a nice box and packaged well making it an excellent present. Recommended.

Good second or third scotch. Great taste but need an appropriate palate to match it if not it might be a bit strong.Not a night out scotch but a classy one. Would recommend as everyone should drink more scotch.

Beautiful whisky for the right occasion. Definitely deserves a bit of attention and time to fully appreciate its subtleties floating in harmony. One of my top 5 18 yo whiskies

Bought for my partner for Christmas he loves it it’s a special occasion drink he really likes the taste and got it bit cheaper than prices from other sites too .

this is a great, really fine whiskey albeit a bit expensive, its a fine item for anyone who appreciates whiskey, for sure the best sensibly priced 18 year old.

I loved this whisky. By far the best one I have tasted in a long time. Smooth, sweet and creamy is the only way I can describe it. Will definitely buy again.

A delicious whisky, full of flavour, smooth not fiery. Love it. I have drunk dozens of good malt whisky's. This has to be the best of its kind.

It's the best 18-year-old year whiskey there is for this price. Wish I could drink this every day. The 15 year is also excellent.
