Ordered this on Sunday and it was delivered on time the following day. Absolutely love this iron. It’s lightweight but produces loads of steam and has a long cord and doesn’t leak. The sole plate is fantastic and makes ironing so much easier, I agree with other purchasers that it is definitely better than the ceramic ones. I bought this for use at my daughter’s house (I actually like ironing and do my daughter’s family ironing) but am so impressed that I shall purchase one for myself. It’s the best iron I have used in a long time. Can 100% recommend it. I hope Swan keep making this iron as I would definitely buy it again.

Probably the best iron we've ever bought so far. Stainless steel sole plate which just glides across clothes. Tried various ceramic sole plates which drag and are hard to clean if you accidentally iron something you shouldn't e.g.: glossy paper. Nice long mains cord which makes ironing easy. Why manufacturers skimp on cable is beyond me. Last iron from another manufacturer had barely 1.5m cord. Iron is easy to fill with controls to hand. Very nicely balanced and stable when placed upright. I think we'll be buying another one just to put away as a spare for the future.

This iron is so reasonably priced and does what it is supposed to and just as good as much more expensive makes. Also it is one of only a few that has a stainless steel sole plate. These glide more easily than the supposed non stick ceramic plates ! It is solid enough without being heavy, light to medium weight in my opinion. I would definitely recommend this product. I have purchased Swan products in the past and always found them reliable.

Purchased from and delivered by Amazon. Item arrived as described. Good price already and then I used a voucher for £1 discount as I didn’t need it urgently. The cord is a decent length, unlike my previous iron. It might not be as powerful as some people might prefer, but it does the job for me. Nice and light, glides across clothing. I use bottled water, as the water in my area is very hard.

Really wanted a stainless steel baseplate, as have had ceramic before and found them anything but nonstick! Never had a Swan iron before, but had a Swan kettle for 25 years, so thought I'd give it a try. Great steam power for a small iron, lightweight, easy to hold and definitely non-stick! The 250ml tank might be a bit small, for those of you who can stand for ages, but ideal for me.?

I don't normally leave reviews, but am really impressed with this lightweight iron from Swan. Have been struggling for a while with my heavier one because of arthritis in my thumb, this has made ironing a lot easier for me, it also has a longer flex, so that's a bonus. My only quibble is that I thought that it was British made, but no..its made in China.

This is a lovely lightweight iron, great features on the different steam settings, really pleased it has a self clean feature, the flex is really long so i no longer need an extension. Irons excellent runs so smoothly over clothing, very pleased with the stainless steel soleplate. Also excellent price for quality. would highly recommend.

I liked the non ceramic soleplate as when doing dressmaking etc. It glides over pins without scratching it. Quite difficult to get non ceramic soleplates. Also I have a Rowenta one which is ok but water leaks on to fabrics. At 4 times the cost of my new Swan iron I am not impressed. I have high hopes for my new British made Swan!!

I was fed up with my old iron because of its ceramic plate so I chose this iron because it has a stainless steel plate. I am delighted. I have used it on a variety of fabrics with no sticking or ruching. It heats up quickly, the steam function is great and it glides, I repeat glides, over the fabric . Wow so happy.

This iron is easy to use, I have arthritis in my thumbs so need something fairly light to hold, produces a good amount of steam, glides smoothly over clothes, can't find anything negative about it. I do use de-ironised water as I live in a hard water area, This is cheaply bought from your local car part shop

Got this on a flash sale for £15 and what fantastic value for money. The iron glides beautifully. Easy to fill with water when needed. Powerful steam function, lightweight but feels sturdy. Very comfortable to hold. Couldn't ask for more, great quality at a bargain price.

Great quality iron , nice to use and light not too heavy , gets hot really quick , the steam works well , I like the stainless steel soleplate it glides along my clothes, I really can't fault it , great value as well as quality .

I like this iron very much It's good value for money too. It's as good as others I have bought in the past, which were much more expensive.I hope I don't have to buy another one but if I did I would buy this one again.

So far so good. Only used once.Glided nicely over fabric.Instructions made me laugh - “don’t touch soleplate as it will be hot”. I really hope so lol. (Completely understand in this age of litigation)

purchased this iron due to it having a non stick stainless steel sole plate as the last 2 irons have had the ceramic sole plates and have rusted . this swan iron is very good wish we had bought it sooner
