Needing a really lightweight iron, I searched and read countless reviews and found this Russel Hobbs Pearl Glide iron which was light enough for me and the reviews looked excellent. I decided to take a chance and it is the best steam iron I have ever used. It is light, which is so important as I suffer with fibromyalgia, the handle is beautifully shaped and Is so comfortable for my tiny hands, it glides across even really dry scrunched up ironing and leave it beautifully crease-free. Fabulous!

The design of this iron is lovely....lots of sparkles and a subtle shade of rose pink. First impressions are favourable.It is well balanced and not too heavy until you put the water in ... for me(with arthritis) it became a little heavy. I tried it on a dry setting for a shirt and found it to be ok but on the steam setting,which it is designed for, it excelled.The soleplate is of a good quality and glides perfectly,no crinkling or pulling..filling is easy, as is emptying too.would recommend.

This incredibly stylish iron is very easy to use and so light. A large pile of ironing is whizzed through with little effort. However, I wish I could steam items on °° as I did on my old iron. The steam function is for °°° so I have to dry iron but the clothes end up looking fine. A small annoyance is that the lead is short. But moving the board nearer to the plug point ensures this won't be a problem. But the ease of ironing and the light weight far outweigh these small irritations.

I bought this iron based on the comments and details on the Argos website and am pleased with it. It is stylish. with a nicely pointed tip to get round buttons, and irons nicely. The only small problem is that it is easy to flick round the temp switch as you are ironing with it. . I did think it slightly heavier than I had imagined but can use it easily with it even though I have arthritic hands. The colour is purple but my husband thinks it is pink. However that hasn't stopped him using it

What a beautiful looking iron with all the features you could desire but very simple to use. A nice easy to load water container and superb soleplate that just glides over clothes.Everything about this iron is simple and efficient and very easy to use.It has been designed to make ironing much less of a chore and more a pleasure, it is not heavy but is very well balanced so it does not make your wrist ache when doing a lot of ironing. It is a very attractive iron, and nice looking.

It is a smart looking iron which works well. The shape of base is really good, the front end goes to a point making it easy to get into awkward parts of the garment.It has a good steam setting (which I use a lot) It holds enough water to do about 12 garments. I find it easier and quicker to just fill from the tap as the jug provided is only small and you need to put 3 jugs in to fill it There is a good length of cord and the weight of the iron is about right. I really like this iron.

This iron is light and easy to use, it did a super job steaming curtains, these are not easy to do but this iron did a great job getting rid of creases, the iron “ glides” over clothes easily, the water tank holds plenty of water, it makes light work of removing creases due to the quantity of steam the iron produces, controls are easy to use, sits well on the “heel” without falling over, the power cord is a good length, as well as the ease of use the iron looks good, would recommend

Have bought and used many iron in the past from warm soleplate ones to fancy steam generator ones. This one stands out. Its a Pearl white colour and looks very stylish and expensive which it isn't. Quick to warm up and gives a good dose of steam and does a really good job. Can flatten even the most stubborn of creases in a pair of curtains, as well as sharp creases in trousers the Army would be proud of. Water tank lasts a little while and easy to fill.

This is an OK Stylish lightweight steam iron. Positives :- heats up quickly to a good heat to get wrinkles out. After a couple of uses the plate did glide beautifully. Negatives :- cable could do with being at least another half metre longer. The position of the cable into the iron would be better further back along the handle. I haven’t got big hands and I find the cable rubs the side of my hand. Not good with the amount of ironing I do!!

I bought this iron after my steam generator finally packed up and I couldn't afford to replace. So, wasn't expecting much but its surprised me. Very smooth in use and lots of steam generated which does mean filling up the reservoir a fair bit. Also, the lid for the reservoir flips to the left which means if you're right handed its difficult to pour without spilling water everywhere but got round that by using my big plastic measuring jug...

The iron looks good, is quite light in weight and heats up quickly.The pearl sole plate although a little small, helps the iron to glide across clothes smoothly whilst ironing and the number of heat controls means that you get the correct temperature for your fabric.It is easy to fill with water and contains enough to steam through an average pile of ironing.The anti calcium feature is a nice addition as we live in a hard water area.

This iron came just in time as I had an enormous pile of ironing to do. It did the job more than satisfactorily, it tackled everything from thin nylon to heavy duty jeans. Pearl glide suits it’s name perfectly, the face of the iron glided over everything and not only that it weights so little that I had no problem using it with my arthritic hands. This is definitely my iron for the future and I can highly recommend it.

Very good looking with a smooth ironing plate. Easy fill and empty with good steam and easy controls. Is slightly heavier due to the ceramic plate and as I am left handed I catch the dial a bit when gripping the handle but maybe not a problem for right handers. Very pleased with it hope it lasts a good few years as my others have done. Worth paying that bit more for the ceramic plate as it really is easy glide and press.

Appearance -The iron looks nice , colour is lovely and modern.Weight -I would say the weight is just about right .Features.-Easy to fill and holds a good amount of water.Straight forward setting , easy to change from one setting to another.Heats up fast .Cord length average .Performance-It irons fairly well but i wonldnt say its thre smoothest iron i have used but it does the job all the same.

Brought this iron after I needed a new one from having a speed glide one.This one is just as the same but more lighter and has more of a steam adjustment. It is perfect for either ironing or steaming, the water tank capacity is also more than the other iron I had, and is so much lighter and easier to use...It is really fast at heating up, ready to use within 40 seconds once turned on.
