When I pulled the iron out of the box I was worried it was too heavy for prolonged use, but it glides across clothes with such ease that I needn't have worried. With a stylish grey and black exterior and red trim detail, it looks contemporary. The handle is smooth, easy to grip, not too wide for small hands! The extra long cable means I don't need to use an extension cable which is ideal when I want to iron in front of the TV. There is a slider control on how much water or steam you use on your clothes which means you can sort out the stubborn creases easily. With my old irons the water spout would be visible and would often leak water everywhere when filling it up.

The iron looks similar to others apart from the quite pointy tip, the instructions on how to use the different functions and fill up with water etc were clear and simple and all the functions were easy to find and switch on and off.The iron heated up quickly and made short work of some linen summer clothes, so a good test of its capabilities. I liked the pointy front of the iron as it did help to get into pleats and awkward corners etc. Also the button groove was good for shirts and cuffs etc. The Powersteam Ultra was comfortable to use and not too heavy which is good if you use the vertical steamer for curtains which I did!As someone with 2 young children who can get distracted when ironing,

Bought this steam iron as a replacement for a Rowenta top of range constant steam iron which broke down just past its 12 months purchase date.Having messed about getting a repair done and several phone calls getting no where, I looked around the Internet and came across the Russell Hobbs steam IronI give it a most favourable review, it does a good job for a small lightweight iron, easy to use and understand.I have found it reliable and comfortable.I did register it on line all straight forward and I have an additional year guarantee, that's a no fuss 3 years.For the price a modest £37 it's great value, the steamer could be stronger, would have liked at least 50% more steam jets in the sole plate,

I am meticulous when it comes to how my shirts are ironed, in fact all my clothes. I have to say that my wife presses and irons all our clothes unbelievable. You might find this very odd but I don't know why but I have to re-press any item that I am about wear, so I think that I could comment in all fairness regarding this Russell Hobbs Iron. This is an outstanding product very easy to use and glides across the fabric with ease, what is in-particular good is that there is an indent at the top end of the iron plate which slides between the buttons when ironing a shirt, therefore presenting a smooth even finish.

Used this iron for the first time today and it is every bit as good as my ancient steam iron (which has now bitten the dust after 10+ years). The majority of my ironing is 100% cotton so I need an iron that is up to the job and this one certainly is, made short work of everything and it holds enough water to do the ironing without the need to refill. The only slight niggle I have is that I have to use my left hand (which is arthritic) to fill the iron because of the way the flap opens so some spillage occurred, but otherwise it is excellent. Highly recommended

Love this iron. I think it's the best one I've ever owned. It is a bit heavier than some irons I've had in the past but it is still comfortable to use and I think the extra weight actually makes the job easier. A smooth soleplate glides across a variety of fabrics with ease - I've used it on both heavy and lightweight materials. A longer power cord than my previous iron will avoid tangles and means I don't have to use it right next to an outlet. Brilliant quality at a great price with efficient delivery. Could not be more pleased with my purchase.

I have only used this a couple of times since purchase but so far it is great. Powerful steam shot, decent cable length and warranty length are excellent features. The only downside so far is that there is no little ledge to wrap the cord round the bottom of the iron, so that takes a little patience when putting it away. There is a handy little notch on the iron to make ironing round button holes easier but this was more of an annoyance at first but getting used to it now. All in all a good quality iron and with a 3 year warranty, excellent value.

I purchased this in December 2018 whilst it was on offer. I was really impressed with it but when compared to my previous model, which was several years old, it did not need to do much to out perform. The iron stopped working half way through a load when it was 8 months old. Bearing in mind I live alone so it didn't exactly have a lot of use, once a week ususally. I contacted Russell Hobbs and I had a brand new one within a week. Really pleased with the service and still pleased with the product.

This iron is one of the best I have bought in the last few years and cheapest i have ever purchased, but don't let the price fool you as its big on everything that,s needed from a steam generator iron. It has long chord for ease of use, ceramic sole plate and produces lots of steam including when used vertically, so much so that ironing denim is a breeze (I now only have to iron one side of legs etc as steam really penetrates through to other side). This iron has really cut down my ironing time.

An efficient iron, that heats very quickly to steam setting and keeps heat and steam well. Lovely ceramic soleplate which glides over clothing easily, with button groove, steam tip, self-cleaning function, automatic turn off, and long flex being welcome and useful features that work well. It is fairly light to hold but seems quite robust and solid - excellent news! My only reservation is that the settings dial is close to the handle and so is sometimes accidentally turned when holding the iron.

I have always paid top dollar to ensure I had a good iron.When my last iron bit the dust I searched for a replacement, spotted this reasonably priced Russell Hobbs and read the reviews. Was it too good to be true, that an iron costing £30+ less than I was used to paying could perform to such a high standard. Well I can confirm that it out performs any iron I have had before. I love it that much I am going to buy a second to keep in reserve for when this one packs in, as all irons eventually do.

This iron has a decent sized water tank which means that you're not refilling every five minutes which I did with my old iron. I did find that it needs to be on maximum to get the steam to operate. The shot of steam is really powerful. The audible auto shut-off feature may operate if you're ironing say something like a duvet cover and have the iron down flat for a long period, but it's a safety feature so no complaints there. The indentation on the sole-plate for buttons can occasionally snag.

Strangely this one is. Picked it on line. Went the next day to purchase and the price had been reduced; bonus!It looks a bit chunky but it is surprisingly light. Has all the bells and whistles one could expect of a steam iron including the cleaning functions.One criticism my hand is probably bigger than that of a female and my fingers tended to brush the heat setting dial as I was ironing.I had to frequently check that I hadn't moved it to a higher setting.Over all delighted with it.

I've had several irons over the years and non did the job as well as this iron, all previous irons were more expensive proving cost isn't everything. This item irons beautifully, the large water tank means less topping up and it heats up incredibly fast too. Alerts you via a beeping sound, if left in the upright position for too long and will switch off completely, if left in the down postion for more than three minutes. No leaks or spills & a 3 year warranty makes this, the best iron ever.

This new iron is fabulous. I bought it for my dad and he absolutely loves it, I do too!We have found the iron lightweight, easy to use and very reliable (just like any other Russell Hobbs iron).The only thing we wish was better was the features, we think it would be better if it had a button for the tripe of material you are iron such as Cotton or Delicates. This would really help to match the design.If you are looking into buying a new iron this one would be the best one for you!
