Okay, there are similar fridges, that look exactly the same on here, which might be just a case of different branding etc.I went for the Russell Hobbs version which appears to be authentic, made in Wigan Uk.I read a lot of reviews about this fridge and how it is noisy and can't fit a standard bottle of wine upright etc.Before purchasing I asked the Amazon community to comment on this fridge eg: Can it run 24/7, is it safe to store butter/spreads, milk etc. Most of the replies that came back, which were many thank you, were very positive indeed.The fridge noise level is rated at 38db, I checked this noise level on a decibel website which rates an average fridge of being 40db,

What you see is what you get - a metal black box. The backside has the components hidden and the door has no handle sticking out, making for a refined design. Cools quickly, holds temperature with <1°C fluctuations in a 16-30°C environment. Well made.What's a bit unusual about this fridge is that the temperature adjust dial is reversed. Whereas usually a higher number would mean higher cooling (so lower temperature), setting this fridge to high means it will maintain 15°C which is the upper temperature bound of its design. It will go to 5°C if you set the dial to low. Some negative reviewers must have thought their coolers didn't work since when apparently set to max they could only produce 15°C.

We have made our own soya milk kefir for some years now but during the summer months in particular, found it difficult to keep the kefir cool enough for it to ferment slowly; a fridge would be too cold under normal storage conditions, which would almost stop fermentation completely. We tried a cheaper cooler but the temperature fluctuations were wide and in hotter weather it just couldn't cope. This Russell Hobbs Cooler has been perfect. We checked the temperature before using and found that it runs continuously with only about 0.5 degree variation. The results have been wonderful - I know that at 10C I can produce perfect kefir every time, even if left longer than normal.

I can’t praise this product enough. I’ll give it a wow on cool/cold levels and low noise levels.The sound is no more than a pur, and you stop noticing the sound of it, after a short while of being in the same room as it.Officially the product is advertised as a cooler, however, if the dial arrow is placed to where it states ‘low’, the cooler becomes very cold and therefore becomes a fridge in every sense.I have located the cooler/fridge in our office/guest room and had a guest stay overnight. I let the guest know they could turn the fridge off if the purring sound bothers them whilst trying to sleep. The report the following morning was, they forgot the fridge,

Initially thought the delivery had been lost. But a quick check with the shop said it had been delivered to my workplace . Found it in mail room - correct postcode but wrong name and address. Don't know whose fault that was.Initially was worried that it wasn't cooling, it was cool at the back but warm in the middle, but is that the air I just sucked out opening he door. After I put a few items in and left it soon become apparent it was doing its job. Left for a while and filled the gauges showed 5 DegC and lower. Usually quiet, hardly noticeable, but of cause after opening the door and sucking all the cool air out it , it will be a little noisier for a while.

I was after a cooler for a few cans of beer and a bottle or two of wine. A summer go-to.Had a look at several options and their reviews and decided that RH was best value, well made and roomy for its type. Capacity? Well if you load it thoughtfully, it takes 2 bottles of wine (including 1 sparkling with a longer cork), 7x 440 ml tinnies (3 in the door shelf) and 1 x 500 ml bottle of water. Ok, my parties may not be exciting but that is what was wanted and you don't need to max the dial to get chilled drinks.Smart, black cabinet looks to be nailed together pretty well and it sits discreetly in my utility room. Good buy I reckon

We bought this fridge for our daughter to store her medication in university halls. Because it states that this fridge is not suitable for perishables we have monitored the temperature with a thermometer and it seems to be maintaining a temperature of 5 degrees which suits our daughter's medication. The one negative is to maintain this temperature it needs to be on the higher setting which makes it a bit noisier. However it doesn't seem to disrupt her sleeping, so it suits our purpose as it is compact yet large enough to store adequate amounts of medication.

I bought this to keep in the office and have been very happy with it. The overall build quality is good and it works well keeping things well chilled. It is also extremely quiet and even with it running right next to the desk you it is almost completely silent. On the downside, if using it to keep soft-drink cans cool the shelf needs to be removed as the shelf is just millimetres too low. The door shelf can also get in the way if items in the cooler are not carefully stored so stocking up can take a bit of planning.

It does exactly what it says. The size is perfect for what we needed. Plug in and it's ready to go.HOWEVER: this is really a cooler, not a fridge. The lowest temperature we could reach (I checked with a thermometer) is 5.3C. We use it to store breast milk - although the official NHS guideline says we should store breast milk below 4C, we don't have any other choice because a proper fridge would be too big for the space we have.So, if you are using it to store breast milk/medicines you need to keep this in mind.

I bought this fridge to use in a bedroom (B & B). The Russel Hobbs Tabletop Fridge is quiet and smart but unobtrusive, I have set it on the medium setting and it has kept milk for fresh for several days and so avoids having to use individual long life milk portions. It is compact and fits under a small table in the room, I have removed the shelf and so there is space for guests to keep a few items cool - water, wine etc. The door shelf is not very wide. Delivery was quick and straight forward.

I bought this table top cooler (fridge), bear in mind there is no ice box it just runs all the time with very cold air. There is a temperature control which works well. I have the dial set at (3.15) if the dial was a clock face, as there are no markings on the dial. This gives a temperature inside of 41 degrees F /5 C. I bought this to keep insulin in which needs to be between 2-8 degrees C. It is very quiet. I keep mine in an upstairs bedroom on a small table. I am very pleased with it.

I bought this fridge to use in my beauty salon. Its great for keeping face masks, serums etc nice and cool. Its just the right size too...not taking up too much room. The only gripe is that the temperature gauge is back to front?? When indicator is sitting on low the electric motor works constantly with high output and when on high setting its much less slower output? But i worked it out so its not a problem really ....i just keep the indicator mid way...Overall im very pleased with it!

Ordered on line, it's a shame that at this point you are not given the option of collecting it from a pick up point however after being contacted by the delivery company I was then give the alternative delivery option.Small fridge that is big enough for the required purpose. Its an extra for the utility room, and suits the purpose, it would be suitable for a small bedsit, office or bedroom. . It keeps the temperature well. Doesn't have a nice box and it was chosen for the reason

Pet food and medicines were coming to take up too much room in my fridge, so l researched counter-top coolers and chose this one based on reviews and product photographs. I liked the fact that, although small, it didn’t lose a chunk of space on the bottom of the cabinet to house a compressor: the interior is more or less a cube. The unit is quiet, easy to clean, and works well in my birdroom. Prompt delivery and well-packaged. Very satisfied.

This is a small but sturdy cooler. I believe it's called a cooler as its designed more for drinks and snacks. However I do use it as a fridge for butter eggs and salads. Cooked meat and cheese. Depending on what I put in it the shelf is definitely in out move it all about. For Milk, whole lettuce etc.The door will only hold small jars or bottles. Couldn't get marmalade regular size in there.It is small but keeps things cool and runs quietly.
