This is an excellent vacuum cleaner. It's fairly light, very powerful, and the filter doesn't clog easily, when it does, it is easy to clean. Here are some of the things it takes right up without a problem: hair, dust, paper: up to the thickness of card though it seems like it can take heavier, those thick waves of lint from dryer filters, finger and toe nails, fallen peas and assorted kitchen debris, these are just some of the things I've noticed on emptying it out.Which brings us to the downside, emptying this out is a bit annoying. Hair and dust gets stuck with ease inside the canister and often needs to be pulled out. Yuck. But the only bagless vacuum that seems to have solved this is the Dyson V8,which costs about 400 or 500 pounds more than this. I think I can just wash my hands thanks. The canister itself is 0.5 liters and fills up fast if you're doing the whole house, I needed to empty it about 3 times. Mostly I just use it to clean my room and the surrounding area and for that purpose it's perfect. All in all, I am very pleased with this vacuum. The suction power is strong, I was surprised given its size. I am confident it could pull up just about anything. It's naturally a bit stronger when you take off the vacuum rod and floor cleaning head, but even with that on its plenty powerful. Do note, that you only get 2 attachments, the floor cleaning head (which is really meant for hard floors), and the dusting nozzle head, which comes with a sliding brush that clicks into place when you slide it to the end. I couldn't find an adaptor that fit this vacuum to allow for other heads, I really wanted a separate dusting brush for my computer and desktop and a separate upholstery brush for my bed. The adaptor I bought didn't fit.

I have to admit that we didn't get this from Amazon, we got it from a well known supermarket that rhymes with A. Sainsbury's for £33.33!! (Amazon take note!!)However, we're so impressed by this little vacuum that I felt compelled to review it.Firstly, the fact that it's corded as opposed to cordless shouldn't factor in. Granted it'd be nice to have a cordless one but you do have to rely on it being charged and many good quality cordless vacuums of this nature cost significantly more. This is easy to use, very effective and we're finding that rather than reaching for our £275 Dyson Animal, we're reaching for this instead. As far as the plastic and components are concerned,it feels every bit as well made as our Dyson and has a very similar style. Its main use in our house is to vacuum our kitchen diner. It can be done in 5 mins with this, given how quickly you can be using it and the ease at which you can switch between the various components. It's also an absolute dream at vacuuming our Venetian blinds.I read other reviews stating that it's lacking in power. I don't think so, I think it's perfectly powerful enough for the size and weight etc.So if you want a handy, light, powerful, versatile vacuum cleaner that feels as well made as a Dyson costing 5 times as much, this is the little vacuum for you.I would add one caveat that we haven't used it on carpets and doubt it'd be all that effective on them but on all hard surfaces it's fantastic.

Had this to vacuum my wooden floor with 2 German long haired shepherds. Used 4 times a day ! Suction with normal t-head is fine for the wooden floor and sucks dog hairs up from 2-3 inches away from the head . The t head attachment is not great on carpet . BUT if you swap the t head for the narrow end piece supplied, it will adequately pick up all your bits of sock bobbles that get left on carpets ! I wouldn't want to go cleaning my carpet with this small end though . Motor gets a bit hot and the collection chamber is relatively easy to unload into a bin . T head is great for getting under sofas etc and around my table and chairs(see photo) . The 7 metre chord means I now don't have to plug surf as per my previous stick type vacuum (handle snapped and wheel fell off !) would I recommend it ... yes if you just want to pick up bits from a hard floor , in my case dog hair . Would I want to use it for a carpeted room .. ummm No , not with the t shaped head as I don't think it's powerful enough . But swap with the narrow attachment and you should be ok but will take a while depending on size of room ! Quality of build is average /good .

This is a great wee thing and I love it. I got it, when it was on a deal on Amazon and it is the first thing I go for, when I want to give the floors a freshen up, or I spill something. It is so easy to use, empty - whatever. The suction is really quite good, for a handheld hoover, but that's because it's got a cord. Basically, it's a handheld cylinder vacuum, so you get the same suction as one of those. It gets into all the place, my upright struggles with is the thing and more. I'm hoovering the ceiling and walls with this thing, plus it's fantastic with extractors, sucking the dust and fluff out of the vents on those, which my upright just couldn't reach. For the money - it's a no-brainer and it came so quickly as it was a Prime item for me, so win, win. Yes, I would recommend it, in fact, I've been suggesting my colleague get herself one.

I've got two other, older vacuums in the house - an absurdly heavy upright one I can't even push and a smaller one I had to drag along the floor behind me, and with my bad back even the smaller one was a nightmare to use. This has enabled me to do the hoovering again! it's light as anything, it's got a good 7m cord (I hear cordless handhelds don't have very good suction) and the suction is very good - going over the carpet it lifted the carpet as it moved over it. The things you can attach/detach means it's versatile for different jobs - even getting rid of ceiling cobwebs is easy!Ok, so I do wish the dust tank was bigger - in the future they probably will be.On a lot of dirt I have to empty it every few minutes but that's easy too, and a compromise I'm willing to make if it means I can actually vacuum without putting my back out!

I bought this for moving into my first home and it has not let me down. My parents own the cordless Dyson version and loved I how lightweight it was however as that was out of my budget I opted for this one. This one is equally lightweight and has great suction, ensuring that every visible piece of dirt is removed from my carpet. The container is a little small and I find that I have to empty it after every use however for me that it doesn't outweigh the benefit of being able to move the hoover around the house with ease. If you have pets with a considerable amount of hair to clean up then this hoover may not be for you.The quality of the main hoover attachment is not perfect and it does feel a little cheap to use however for the price this hoover really is faultless. This hoover is great value and you won't be left disappointed.

Much better than the previous model . 600 watt much better for cleaning . Lightweight durable , easy to clean & it’s got a long cord unlike some . If you find it hard on carpets, well that’s because it has not got a brush bar, it’s ok for flat carpet such as mats, lino, But come on it’s not going to work on shag pile. Or other thick carpets. It needs a brush roll to help it glide across floors. This model is designed for flat carpet, Lino, flat rugs. Crevices, your wall to celling for cobwebs. Also good for giving your curtains a once over from dust. It’s got an amazing long flex, the hoover extends. To reach difficult places. So if that’s what you needs then this hoover is for you .If you need one for thick carpets other than flat carpets get a hoover with a roll bar,

This is a very good light weight machine. I found it to be easy to clean all those high places which a normal heavy machine could not reach. The stairs are also easy to manage with this handheld. Some have described it as noisy but I personally found it ok and on a par with a heavier machine. It's extremely easy to clean. I'm very impressed and I've found myself using this for all vacuum cleaning as its so light and effective. Some say it's not very good at picking up pet hair but I've found it to be very good at picking pet hair as well as everything else. If your a family I can see that this machine may not be 100% for your needs. But for myself living in a two bedroom home this machine is great.

Having read the other reviews, I was hesitant to buy this product. However having got it here and plugged it in, it is fantastic! super light weight, really long cord, easy to empty and clean the filter. It isn't a heavy duty vac, but it is great for what I use it for (the stairs and the bathroom). The attachments are great as well, wasn't sure if it would come with anything but the standard head but it has a nozzle/brush combo attachment.I love that it is height adjustable and it is really easy to adjust the height easily. The weight makes it so much easier than lugging my huge dyson up and down stairs. I would recommend this to anyone, and its great for the car as well.

Small, portable and pretty powerful. For the price, it's an absolute bargain! It works fine on solid surfaces, tight-pile carpets, nooks, crannies, grannies, desks, ceilings, cupboards, etc.It also all comes apart, so that you don't have to be wielding a 2m long monster whilst trying to empty it into a bin (unless you want to). The disassembly is fast, efficient and pretty secure.Highly recommended for students, bachelors, singletons, mums, kids and dads. It's fun for all the family, but you won't find it on the Russell Hobbs website because they don't actually give you an extension on the unit's warranty like the marketing blurb that comes with it says.

This is a lightweight little hoover, which within its limits performs very well. Remember that a Dyson costs hundreds of pounds, but this is perfectly capable of doing hard floors, short pile carpet as well as the upholstery. The rating for carpet is not high, so I would say if your home is all carpeted then something bigger/more powerful would be better. Also this is plug in, so there is a cable - but this is long enough to reach all our rooms from one central socket. The saving over cordless is also something in its favour as long as you don't mind plugging a cable of course. Very pleased, just be sure it is suitable for your requirements.

I've had this vacuum for a couple of months now and while it's not going to win any prizes for features, it's a capable little thing. I live in a flat and with the power lead plugged into the hall I can get to the far reaches without needing to move the plug to another socket. The fittings are pretty standard, no fancy pet hair attachments but decent enough for everyday use.One feature that is sadly lacking is a slot to open to reduce the pressure so can be tricky to move on carpet in any other way than pulling it backwards so if you must vacuum in a classic forward-backward then you may not get on with this.

So, this is not as powerful as our last vacuum, but it made realise I shouldn't have to be able to suck the lino etc off the floor to make it dust free. If anything, we're cleaner now because I have the most versatile light weight cleaner! Gets in all the corners and can do the rest of the flat too. Prob not your ideal only vacuum for a house, but perfect as a stair/corner cleaner. For our flat, it's easy to store, does the job without loads of plug switching and can turn into a 'dust buster'. Easy to empty and doesn't need it as much as you'd think. Buying my mum one for Xmas (don't tell her)

The vacuum came in what I thought was a very small package and I thought it would be difficult to put it together but it was very simple and the box is very handy to take it apart and store it. It has a very strong suction and you have to watch if you want to vacuum your curtains as it will draw them in very quickly but for your floors and carpets it is ace and is very easy to empty. Also my husband wanted one without the cord but my daughter has a cordless one and finds it does not have long enough battery time to do the whole house and the cord is very long so can go very far.

I am disabled and needed something light weight with a long cord to do mt stars. I have another russell hobbs hoover which is bulky but excellent so i thought id buy this for the stairs and landing. I am not disapointed. This is light, the cord is really long so no stopping to move to another plug and the suction os fab. I was thinking of a shark but si glad i got this for a fraction of the price. Highly reccomend. This ticks every box for me and will certainly make Life easier. Dont normally bother to do reviews but this is a 10/10 product and easy on your budget
