The kettle was simple to assemble following the instructions and looks really great. The cord is extendable as it is coiled under the base so you can use it long or keep it short and tidy. The kettle boils faster and more quietly than my previous one and looks really cool on my kitchen bench. The filter system is a great idea with the cartridge replacement reminder. As I haven’t yet had to replace the cartridge I’m not sure how expensive this will be as the instructions indicate you should put in a new one each month! My children think the kettle is amazing as they can see it boiling and the blue lights around the base look pretty space age.We have to keep switching off the kitchen lights when the kettle boils to add to the effect! As a regular tea drinker I have not yet noticed a difference in taste but it feels nice to know the water has been filtered. It’s great that you can use the kettle as a filter jug without boiling the water which saves space in your kitchen.

The main feature that drew me to this kettle was the filter. While I am in a soft water area I prefer the taste of filtered water. It is very easy to put together and I really like the 1 month countdown for replacement filters. I find the drinks made in it do taste better and a clear tea is just that, clear.2 aspects that's really impressed me were the speed at which is boils and how quiet it is when it boils. I have had other glass kettles that create a racket and wobble all over when they boil but this one is quiet and sturdy.I have a stainless toaster that lights up the same colour so it goes really well with the other appliances I have. The only down sides were the time it takes to fillthrough the filter and the fact it only takes 4 drinks worth of water but with the benefits these can be overlooked.

Top quality kettle as expected from Russell Hobbs. It looks great in the kitchen, very solid, simple and contemporary. The first thing that I noticed when using the kettle was that it was a lot quieter than my last one, and looks great when boiling with the illuminated blue lights around the base. The Brita filter is a great idea and being a tea connoisseur adds to purer cup of tea! The instructions are clear and it only took a minute to put together.I initially thought that the power cable wasn't going to reach the plug socket, however this uncoiled from under the base...phew!I think it's time to update the toaster now... it's looking a bit dated.

The water where we live is sometimes cloudy and not very pleasant to drink, so we used to employ a filter jug to purify the water before decanting to the kettle, which was a bit of a faff. This Russell Hobbs one makes life much simpler and although we still have to change the filter each month it certainly makes the tea taste much fresher. It is very quiet, quick to boil and looks good with its integral blue glow and stainless steel trim.As others have stated, the mains cable is very short. However, this is not a problem if the kettle is sited upon a worktop with a wall socket immediately behind

This kettle appealed to me because of the built in Brita filter. A friend had recommended it, swearing that it made a nicer brew. It looks really nice, good quality and the blue light when boiling is a nice feature. It boiled quickly and was quieter than my old kettle. It is a bit heavier than my old kettle, because of the filter, especially when filled up. It has a wind away cord which is neat. I've yet to see how long the filter will last before it needs changing, as the filters are an added continued expense. However. my husband swore that his tea definitely tasted nicer, so a good investment.

Very nice looking kettle and does the job. I'm just a skinflint thinking hmmm 6 filters for £25 which will last another 6 months (you have to buy seperately) Kettle comes with one. We do live in a very hard water area so suppose it will be worth it. Fed up with kettles that fur up in just a few months, even with cleaning. Makes it expensive having to buy filters over time but if you want your kettle to last ... it's a choice. You can use the kettle without the filter as well. Nice looking product.

Got this to replace broken kettle si did not review it as got in a rush...however it's the best kettle I've ever had I am a big tea drinker and the taste to my tea with having the filter kettle is brilliant. It also looks good too with a nice blue light when you switch it on it boils very fast too I was a bit worried it would not hold enough water to fill my husbands flask but it does and also I was surprised to see the water filters very fast plus for me is it's not heavy to lift 10 out of 10

Since I bought this kettle I've been very happy. It looks really nice and feels like good quality. My girlfriend really liked it when she saw it ;)It certainly filters water and every cup of coffee has been great.Just to let you know, the glass does get hot. The handle works perfectly, and so I've never had problems. For me the power lead was exactly the same length as a previous Morphy Richards kettle, and was absolutely fine.I've not noticed the kettle base slipping around at all.

This kettle is very quick at boiling however please be patient when filling it for your needs as it takes time to filter the water prior to boiling. We have hard water at home and anything that filters out the chlorine and anything else that is not wanted is a great thing, previous kettles have not lasted long as well as steam irons so I use the water from the kettle when ironing. Nice design and features, just remember to buy the filters too it is well worth the money. Highly recommended.

Kettle is really worth the money you pay no limescale filter clean water I bought the refills depending how much you use kettle will depend on how often you need to change your filter for me about once a month to change filter with the refills you get six, the handy bar gage indicates how much is left before you need to change, boil is fast and noise is low the lovely led light on boil only negative is filling up kettle is a little slower waiting for the water to filter but it’s no issue

Was looking to replace my old Brita water jug and kettle as we live in a really hard water area. Decided to purchase the Brita kettle instead so that we didn’t need to filter the water and then put it in the kettle. You can literally see how much cleaner the water is in the cups. No dirty rings left on the inside of cups & tea/coffee is really pleasant to drink. Boils quickly and quietly compared to my previous kettle. Definitely recommend this product if you live in a hard water area.

This kettle looks great in our kitchen and the blue light is cool. the only downside would be that the chamber where you put the water in has an overflow into the compartment below so if you are not paying attention non filtered water can get into the kettle which kind of defies the point. Also if you need a full kettle the chamber for the non filetered water doesn't hold much so you have to fill it twice and wait for the water to be filtered not a biggy but a bit time consuming.

The is the best kettle purchase I’ve made in 20years. The mugs and teacups testify to 80-90% stain or residue reduction. Our tea and coffee taste a lot better. If in doubt come around for a cuppa you will fall in love with your brew again. The filter in the kettle just changed everything for us who fill the kettle up straight from the tap.We love our new kettle and it boils quickly plus we love the transparent look. We’re very pleased with this purchase. Good value for money

Bought this product because I didn’t want to faff around with a separate filter jug which clutters up the fridge or worktop. It’s early days but so far am very pleased with it. Although it takes two fills to fill the kettle, the filter is very quick to filter the water through. Not sure how long the filter will last , and the cartridge is quite pricey. However, my main hope is that the kettle won’t get gunged up and need descaling quite so often as in Essex the water is so hard.

I've given four *s for the simple reason that it only holds four cups of water. I knew I was going to have to deal with the issue of having to repeatedly fill kettle because reviewers had already pointed this out. I had no choice but to buy it for the sake of it being a healthier option compared to a plastic one. However, am getting used to it, albeit slowly. In all other aspects it's a good piece. Quiet, easy to hold on to, kettle flap opens quickly and space wise is good.
