The Rambler is neat in appearance and small enough to be a bedside radio. You can pull the handle down over the front of the radio, then angle the radio forwards, settling it gently on the handle, which keeps it from falling flat on your bedside table. That way you can then see the screen whilst lying in bed, but the loudspeaker is not blocked and the sound can get out. The sound is that lovely mellow, slightly woolly sound that is typical of Roberts Radios - or the wood-cabineted ones anyway. I do have two criticisms - the ON/OFF function is done by a small digital push-bar switch rather than being incorporated in the left-hand volume control knob.

A beautifully stylish and well made compact radio- it looks like it was made for our kitchen, the colour matches perfectly. Excellent rounded sound and good reception. The Bluetooth compatibility was one of the reasons we chose this radio and with a little fiddling it works great for streaming from your phone. Only downsides are all the controls are on the top so do attract dust but that is easily offset by retro charm. The display is itself a bit too retro, not very clear when scrolling through the channels ( We previously had a radio with an LCD display which showed the channels brilliantly) , I think the display is the only thing I would change,

Impressive for its size, the sound quality is very good indeed and in true Roberts style. The Bluetooth compatibility is useful and whilst stand alone speakers will usually perform better, this Roberts is more than adequate for playing downloaded music which it does better than one expects from what is, after all, principally intended as a radio. Build quality looks high; this, like so many other Roberts Radios, will be going strong for years to come. No real niggles of note. The volume control is heavily graduated so several turns are required to raise or lower volume and the off switch sometimes wants a double press .( Perhaps this is intended? I must read the handbook again.)

This is the second Rambler I have bought. One for the bedroom, perfect size looks pretty in the blue. Bluetooth means I can listen to music from my phone through the unit. Dab+ picks up many more stations than I could get on my previous radio. Love the sleep facility and the fact that you can dim or switch off the display completely which is great at night. Since my Sony radio stopped receiving many stations recently I then purchased another Rambler in cream for the kitchen. Really easy to set up and user friendly with good manual. Sound quality good. My only suggestion to Roberts is that it would be good to have more than 10 presets for Dab.

I've really been enjoying having a radio in my life again after years of using my laptop which just wasn't the same. The Rambler BT has high quality sound and allows me to listen to FM and DAB radio stations as well as connecting to Spotify and YouTube through Bluetooth. I'm really enjoying this option so I can listen to my own music and podcasts from my phone but with an enhanced sound quality and ambience. The Rambler BT is a great companion when making dinner and the design has a wonderful retro feel.

Small, lightweight, timeless design, but very easy to setup. It took less than a few minutes to scan for all the DAB radio stations in our area. The Radio was up 'n' running & pumping out a surprisingly good quality sound in under 5 minutes. Outside or inside i have used it everywhere & not had any problems, with its simple controls & bright display, its a doddle to use. Bluetooth is a bonus, in case I ever get bored of all the DAB station's, so it will probably never get used. 10 from 10

A very easy website to use......easy to order. Delivered only 4 days after ordering.......excellent service. Just wish the radio was easier to use - just an on-off button with a knob to move channels would be lovely! Why does technology have to make everything SO complicated - mode, menu, pre-set etc. We oldies would really appreciate things being simpler to use! A very nice looking radio though.....smart appearance.

It’s been a long time since I’ve purchased a radio and I’m delighted with this purchase. It’s small and compact but wonderfully retro whilst being also versatile. Looks and sounds great in the kitchen on DAB or FM, also a great Bluetooth option if I prefer to choose my own music. A couple of batteries and it’s working very nicely too in our Greenhouse were we have no electricity.

Really lovely little radio, Bluetooth easy to set up and works well. Preset radio channels are varied and has good reception. Brought this radio to replace another brand which broke with little use and this is 100% better in sound,looks and quality. Looking forward to using this regularly and its a real piece of mind that there's a great warranty with it. Thank you

I've bought many Roberts radios over the years - build and sound quality are always excellent. I deducted a star for this model because the scrolling display option (which I always use) is a misnomer. It flashes and jumps and is not the restful background display I was expecting. I also think the presets arrangement is over fiddly.

I am a huge fan of Roberts radios and have happy memories of listening to Terry Wogan on the Roberts radio in our kitchen as a child growing up in the seventies. I am delighted with my recent purchase which looks great on my bedside table. The sound quality is excellent. Very prompt delivery and excellent service all round.

This radio is good but sometimes temperamental. The operation of the buttons and controls needs patience but you get there in the end. The battery life is terrible unless its on Eco setting. I was recharging them every couple of days until I made the switch. The sound is very good and so when its working well its great.

We bought this radio because of its stylish design combining classic mid century looks with current technology. Its very simple to operate and has reasonable sound quality for its size. The bluetooth connectivity is also very useful. My wife loves it! Service and delivery was also first class by the way!

Having had Roberts Radios for many years, and finding the overall quality and sound as of a high standard, I was pleased to find that the Rambler encompasses all of those qualities, with the addition of ‘nod’ to nostalgia. Very pleased with all of the DAB , Bluetooth features. A worthwhile purchase.

great little radio, bought as present for wife to use in garden, lovely tone good volume. also wife uses the Bluetooth to play music from iPad. I can now find my wife in the garden ,just follow where the music is coming from.(colour even matches the arbor in the garden!)
