We have a number of Roberts audio products and the recent purchase of the Radio Cassette Player confirms our confidence in Roberts products. Good sound, easy to use, and does what is claimed, the only single drawback is its relative size - it is not small, however if you want a good sound, full function cassette, radio and cd player you will not go wrong with this one. A small but very useful feature is a tuning light that illuminates and stays solid when you are dead on a transmitters wavelength. Useful for a non DAB radio.

I like this item much. Simple to use - the instruction booklet is refreshingly clear, concise, easy to understand and follow. Tonal quality is first class, likewise, appearance. Very glad I bought this - it made me realise how "ropey" my previous yet otherwise faithful machine had become. I love the facility to play cassettes and also listen to radio on FM, LW and MW bandings - rather rare these days.I'd recommend this product much.Laurence

This was bought for my wife who has visual impairment. It looks good and feels solid. The sound quality is good and the volume more than enough. The controls are well spaced and my wife has pimples stuck next to those she needs. A nice piece of equipment. A period of regular use has passed with my wife managing the machine without a hitch. I would not normally do updates but as there have been negative reviews l wanted to share our experience.

I'm pleased with the CD9960 because the sound is well rounded, though I would welcome a function that gives more choice to alter the sound dependant on what I'm listending to (spoken word or music). The stereo reproduction is good. The dial for channel changing does not always pick up a channel clearly and remain on it. However, given the reasonable price I think this is good value for money.

I am very pleased with this Roberts player.It is very easy to work, the sound is good, even the radio, as in my experience radios within a player are often very bad.I am delighted to be able to play my cassettes not heard for a while.I cant say if durable as only have had it for a couple of weeks, but as a whole it looks and feels of good quality.

So far so good! I love the smoothly rounded contours of the product and the sound quality is very good. The instruction book is very clear and easy to follow. I have not yet tried a cassette tape but the CD player is easy to use and again the sound quality is good. Lovely to be able to use LW for TMS commentary!

Chosen because this portable radio has cassette playback and CD play functions. My only reservation at the moment is there is no indication as to the position of each radio station on the tuning band which my previous radio had. A tone control would have been nice but for the money the radio is very good.

This was a birthday gift for my Mum. She wanted to still be able to play her old cassettes but have a cd player too. I couldn't find a DAB digital radio that offered those but the radio on this seems very good.Very straightforward and easy to use, a great buy for the price and Mum is thrilled with it!

This Roberts is a replacement for a similar one but of a different make. Its a little larger then actually required but all is OK.Would have liked a better radio station finding system and a remote control.The main reason for purchase of this model is it had a cassette player as well as a CD player.

Over the last couple of years this is my 4th purchase of Roberts radios. I bought one for hubby to take to work, one for the kennels, one for the kitchen & one for my quiet room, where I use for meditation CDs.This is proof of my satisfaction of a very good product. Sound is very good, cannot fault.

My heart sank when the parcel arrived somewhat battered. The inner cox had been dented and torn - but thankfully the Player seems undamaged. As yet we have only tried the CD player and radio, brilliant sound.All in all excellent value, punching well above it's weight in sound purity.

Wanted this mainly to play cds at night to aid sleep..this works well as does the radio..not the loudest of volumes but fine for the nonspecialist! Not tried the tape player yet but as an oldie I have a lot I will want to listen to again .will edit this review if any problems.

This was bought for my husband who is 83 years of age. He likes to go to bed early and listen to all his old tapes and discs,he is very happy with sound and it suits his needs. I don't get a chance to listen to any daytime radio programmes may have to buy one for myself.

A gift for Mother's Day, so I will ask her im sure she was surprised. Well on a telephone call she let me know it arrived im calling round soon to 'fix it up'(JUST PLUG IT IN REALLY AND SET RADIO)OK.Good listening anyone, good starter radio/cd for a small child.

I ordered this radio and it was exactly as described and I am delighted with it. I ordered it and it was delivered in two days also I was given a time slot of one hour as to when it would be delivered..absolutely superb.. Some of the best service I have had.
