Fantastic toaster. Looks great, matches our kettle and works great with our kitchens colour sceme. The toaster is easy to set up, use and clean. The tray to collect the crumbs is easy to take out and clean out. The buttons are easy to use and the push down lever is ok. Perhaps not the strongest lever, but I have had the toaster for 5 weeks now and all seems fine and working perfectly. The cancel button is a good feature as is the defrost setting. It doesn't take long to toast bread. I have tried to warm croissants on the top and this works ok, as long as you remember to continually move them avoiding burning. Perhaps having a lever that would add kind of tray on the top for this would have been a good idea.Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a feature on any toasters for this these days.Overall I am very happy so far with my purchase of this toaster. This toaster exceeds all the others I have ever had. Not only does it take large fat rolls/buns in the very wide slot, but also toast very thin slices of bread evenly. I have 'refreshed' thin crisps breads in it too! The defrost button is marvellous for a sliced bread straight from the freezer to make sandwiches in a hurry. The stop button works instantly, and the push up lever for removing small items from the toaster saves burnt fingers! A great multi functional toaster, I highly recommend it!

My old cheap toaster started to play up - the plug blew cutting off the power to the downstairs plug circuit. I replaced it with a cheap (and elegant looking) Cookworks toaster. The same thing happened so I got an electrician in. No circuit problem but surge through the cheaper toasters was more than circuit could cope with. Suggested I buy a more expensive branded model. No problems returning toaster to Argos . No problem so far with this toaster. More robust, easy to use and does the job.

One of the best choices you'll find on Argos without splashing too much money. Good capacity, lovely red colour, boils really fast compared to my old one, also the pad is 360 so it won't matter which way you place it back. Only 2 minor issues. It gets really loud just before it boils and switches itself off. Second it gets really hot, since it's metal. Could be a bit better insulated, so you wouldn't burn yourself instantly by touching a side. Otherwise brilliant, would buy again.

I have always found Morphy Richards equipment very reliable and I am pleased with the 'slimline' design and colour. It pours very well without any 'dripping' from the spout and the handle at the side is sturdy with no fear of your hand being burnt by steam. I noticed that some reviewers were concerned about the length of the lead but I find it more convenient as it is less bulky on the worktop than some models are. Overall it is a sturdy kettle and would definitely recommend.

Overall, am pleased with this kettle. Wouldn't call it a black kettle, more of an anthracite colour with a black handle and brushed steel features. No issues with the water level gauge, hasn't fogged up as mentioned in other reviews; though I would agree that the gauge would be better in litre measurements as opposed to cups. Quite light in weight and boils quickly. For the price, the construction could be a little more robust. Will see how it stands the test of time.

Good looking toaster, easy to get toast out after toasting. I like that the cancel button lights up when the toast is down; this makes it easy to find. I also like that you can just about see into the toaster from the top to see how it's doing. This toaster suffers from the common problem of not toasting one side of the bread as much as the other but this does not bother me as both sides are crispy. Fits the Morrison's own brand wholemeal bread that I use easily.

I bought this toaster to replace the previous one which was not doing the job properly. After three weeks of using it I and my family are very pleased with it. The toast is done to the satisfaction of the three of us, each with a different preference. I particularly like the way the toast tray engages - quietly, without the hefty 'clunk' which most others seems make. All in all, a very good buy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This Morphy Richards 102779 Equip Jug Kettle - Stainless Steel looks and works great. It's noisy as fast boil kettles are but not a problem for me. It lives up to the great reviews from other owners that convinced me to try it. The lid opens and closes like a dream, it pours perfectly and it doesn't leak anywhere. No metallic taste noted by any of the family but your mileage may vary! To say the least, I am pleased with this product.

I have the toaster in a gorgeous rich red colour which complements my colour scheme in my kitchen. It is very easy to use, with clearly signed buttons on the side so you know exactly which button to press for defrost, reheat etc. Easy to grip dial for how brown you like your toast, so no problems there! There is a removable tray underneath to clear the crumbs. All round great little toaster!

I got this to match my (now discontinued) toaster and the colour matched perfectly. It might not be the fastest boiler, but ask yourself, what exaclty would you do with the extra 15 seconds gained by buying a faster-boiling kettle? It looks good, it's good value and it boils water. What more could you want? OK, maybe a blue cat that talks, but in the meantime, enjoy the kettle.

My old kettle started to leak and I wanted a replacement stainless steel kettle, this one was on offer so I bought it. I like the sleek design, the lid opens easily with a button for refilling. There is a gauge at the side so you can see how much water is in it and the on/off switch illuminates when it is switched on. Seems to boil quite quickly. Happy with my purchase.

Nice little kettle for the price I changed from another major manufacturer as the steam used to come out the kid whilst boiling and pouring.this little gem has no steam escape all in all you will not be disappointed with this kettle for the price not as big as some kettles so does not take up much bench space but still has the full 1.7l capacity very happy with it.

14.5.2020

Chose this for simple design but good features. Classic stainless steel, easy to see water level and switch lights up when in use. Reasonably quiet given power and speed of boil. Lighter than my old kettle but seems well made. Cord store and 360° swivel base is excellent feature that means it sits neatly on the work top and is easy to use for left or right hand

seems to be functioning OK. The slots are sufficiently wide for a variety of bread slices sizes although I would have preferred them to be longer, but I couldn't find any other more suitable 2-slice toaster. The only downside is that the marker on the temperature/browning control is difficult to see, particularly for people with restricted vision.
