These boots are pretty great. they are taking some time to break in as others have mentioned. I got horrible shin splints trying to walk 4 miles in town in them the first time, but that hasn't happened again. I have taken them on longer hikes up to 8 miles per day in the Wallowas and love them. I am not used to wearing stiff boots. I much prefer trail runners, but have learned I prefer the stability of boots over rocky terrain and roots esp while wearing a pack to stay overnight. I've had them about a month and they keep getting better.I love that there are two tension points with the laces. I have high arches and this allows me to adjust for my high arches or swollen feet and then keep the

Nothing but Lowas for me! They may be a little pricey, but it’s well worth it. I’ve never had a better boot and have 3 pair just this year.
