We haven't actually seen the new Lego Movie but we intend to go this coming weekend and this has been fantastic fun to build in the meanwhile on the lead up to seeing the film.All of my family are big Lego fans and myself and my Partner have original Lego from when we were children up to now where we regularly buy sets for our children so we all have been helping to build this.This is a really great set, we're particular fans of the vehicles sets so were very excited to get this up and running, it took us about 2 days to build in between other things we had to do over the weekend, my 11 year old have no trouble doing this himself but my 8 year old needed some help following the instructions.

This was a fun build that took just under 2 hours to complete, following the instructions to the letter of the chunky booklet enclosed (also available as a PDF from the website). The ‘Explosive Action’ is not as forceful as suggested and the buggy tyres posed more of a challenge than expected…but we got there in the end and said buggy, with impressive front suspension, moves well, even over carpet tiles, in my experience.ooOoo~ LEGO SET: 70829 ~ THE LEGO® MOVIE 2™~ AGE GUIDE : 8 yrs+ooOooThe kit is presented in a colourful cardboard box, measuring around 38 cm x 26 cm x 7 cm, with tabs on the side to ease opening without annihilating (images 4 & 5 below refer).Inside, all the pieces (estimate 550)

We haven't seen the second Lego Movie yet, but the first is still popular enough in our house that my ten-year-old son was eager to crack this open and begin assembly.I personally prefer Lego sets that are dioramas and buildings, but these seem to either be in the minority or to always be more expensive than the vehicle sets, which we build a lot of! My preference not to build vehicles with the kids aside, this is a fantastic set. For once it includes enough interesting and recognisable mini-figures from the Lego Movie world that they don't feel like an afterthought and it doesn't feel like we need to buy a second set to get the most out of it.The buggy itself is great fun to put together,

Very well designed kit with a mix of standard and Technics Lego, the Technics stuff is mostly used for the frame and suspension which is working sprung loaded at the front. Instructions are on the whole clear and laid out well but children will probably need help at certain points. Comes with four mini figures from the Lego2 film which will add to the play value. If your kids like the Lego Movies (or are just mad for Lego and wheels) I think they will find this great fun to build and play with. Size wise it's about 22 x 16cm. It is Legos usual high quality and includes loads of bricks so on the hole I think it is worth the money.PS it does come with stickers for the car but we took the pictures

This Lego Escape Buggy Building Set based on the second Lego Movie is a lot of fun for children aged 8 and upwards.In the set you get Emmet minifigure, Lucy minifigure and Sharkira minifigure, plus brick-built Metal Beard, Star and Heart figures. Not only that you get the accessories which include Lucy's crossbow, quiver and STOP sign, Shakira's crowbar and.. wait for it MetalBeard's internal organs! Yuk!Intotal you get 529 pieces in this set and Lego needs no explananition we know it's great fun.The set is designed to be combined with Ultrakatty from the 70827 Ultrakatty and Warrior Lucy building set to create The Ultra Escape Buggy but the kit is a lot of fun on its own.

I am an AFOL. I am proud to be an AFOL. I remember the very first Technic sets. This set incorporates some Technic pieces as well as the more "traditional" pieces. So if this is for a youngster it could be the perfect introduction to Technic.As far as the younger builder goes, I would say this is an awesome build. Kids love wheels. And the buggy has bouncy suspension too !!Obviously, it is just one set of a range based on Lego Movie 2. It's marketing, and a fact of life nowadays. However, if you get set 70827 to, you can make... (See my photo)...The Amazon pictures show exactly what you're getting. Watch the video clip too.

We bought this for our seven-year-old for Christmas. He enjoyed building it, but needed help a few times with more difficult elements like the suspension system. Being a little bit more difficult to build, he had a great sense of achievement when it was finished.The car is a very good model. Fairly robust, although the tanks on the side have a tendency to fall off with lively play. The feel of the suspension is very satisfying. The set comes with a number of small accessories, but those were fairly quickly left to one side.Overall, a high quality set.

This lego Movie 2 Set looks lovely, the colours are so bright and attractive which will engage children.Children will also be excited by this set of they love the movie franchise.Lego is great for strengthening children's fine motor skills and encourages concentration and creativity.This gets them away form the like of IPad screens which can only be a good thing.This would make a lovely gift for a loved one and i would image lots of children would be very happy if they unwrapped this from under their tree on Christmas morning.5 stars.

This is great and was a real hit with the boys who loved constructing it and playing with it. Anything Lego and they are there! Looks great fun and plenty of accessories like the figures helps bring it to life. The buggy is well designed and structured and H and S said they enjoyed putting it together. I can't get over how well they follow the diagrams and instructions. Looks great and is fairly robust. It's a 5* from me and a big thumbs up from the boys.

Another great Lego set based around the LEGO Movie 2. Once again my nephew had no problems building this and loved every minute of it - he is an absolute Lego lover and can polish sets off in no time at all. As with all Lego sets the pieces are manufactured to last and the instructions are extremely easy to follow.Overall an excellent set got Lego and / or LEGO Movie lovers.

I haven't seen the movie but this is like a monster truck designed for Mad Max, if that helps. Brilliant fun. Excellent model with great features. As well as the play value there is subliminal learning about engineering when you assemble a model like this, with its various working parts such as suspension.

This was quite easy to build maybe a bit of a challenge to assemble for those who rarely play with lego.This is a great set and spot on to the version in the lego movie part 2.Absolutely love it.

This was fun and interesting to build.Since I also have Ultrakatty (70827), I was able to enhance the escape buggy using the instructions on the Lego website - this was quite an easy rebuild.

Brought for a Christmas present for 8 year old, who is well into Lego and the Lego Movie 2 collection, so if as good as his others will be well liked and well played with.

Purchased for a relative as gift. As far as I know it has been well received and an enjoyable experience to build.
