This is a small box of Lego for aged 6 plus from the Lego Movie 2. Battle-Ready Batman and MetalBeard can be made from the small pieces. My grandchild was so excited when he opened the box; he wanted to rip open the three bags and we had to encourage him to only open one as there are so many pieces. I would recommend only opening one bag at a time otherwise, it can all get rather messy!It all looked very fiddly to me; there are three numbered plastic bags, each containing a figure. The instruction book is excellent giving step-by-step instructions. My husband and grandchild spent around an hour together building and seemed to be having a great deal of fun. The fun went on for hours after also.

This is the first proper Lego set we've had. My daughter and I did it together, and considering it was a small set, it was so much more involving and fun than I was expecting. You get three things to build - Metalbeard's treasure chest which connects to Metalbeard's crab mech legs and Batman's throne. You also get Batman and Maddox figures.There are lots of very small parts so it's definitely not suitable for younger children.I wish that the little bags inside (which contained the parts) were resealable, my children are excellent at losing bits to their toys. I don’t think I need to convince anyone to the superb quality of Lego bricks and those are not different.This little set (the box size is 18cm x 20cm big) comes with a couple of bricks that do not come with every set, like the lock tile, cute star tile, pirate hat, pirate head, sausages (as pirate guts), a bone, treasure chest, “you’re welcome” sign, various weapons and of curse with a Batman minifigure.There is instructions booklet inside and blocks separated into 3 bags: one with Batman and two with mixed bricks for MetalBeard and Maddox.To be honest the set seems rather tiny for the price of £17.79 at the time I write this.

I'm not really sure with character tie-in Lego whether this is a good thing or a bad thing. I'd rather that the toys had more demand on a child's creativity and fewer specialist bricks. Given that on the whole, Lego is an excellent educational toy, I would rather that a child had Lego tie-in characters than a standard plastic action figure. Not of course that there's a standard action figure as a tie in for the Lego Movie 2 - they are all Lego! :)This set is well designed and I think would go down well with fans not only of the Lego Movie franchise, but the Batman universe too. There is enough to keep the interest whilst building, and then play value afterwards too.

As you guessed, everything is awesome about the new Lego Movie 2 Lego range. This particular set; LEGO Movie 2 70836 Battle Ready Batman and Metal Beard is a great build for any child. It is well priced and looks great when built. You get two excellent minifigures and the build itself is pretty simple for a youngster.You actually get a great a adjustable Metal beard legs, a sign that moves via a gear system and the Batman figure and Metal Beard figure look great, ideal for any Lego collection.It is a good set and fits in well in the current range. Highlights are the details and small things. Ideal gift for any Lego crazed child.Thoroughly Recommended.

The usual points about excellent quality parts and not cheap apply here, but would add that whilst there is a premium for the Lego Movie (2) themed toys - you are getting a premium product here with some really good details and unusual pieces / actions. My resident Lego guru is 9 and is extremely happy with this set. I like that it is good for small world play and has been played with over and over again - not just sat on the shelf as a completed model to be looked at. We recommend this set (and some zip lock bags to keep the parts together if you break it up as you really need all the special pieces to make this brilliant!).

I think the batman 'thing' that is actually being built by this set is a bit of a curious thing - not really sure what it is! But the real point is that my 7 year old son was totally in concentration mode for the 35 minutes it took him to put it together! Lego's brilliant for keeping kids away from screens, and at the end of that concentration he has a toy he plays with. I loved lego 40 years ago, my boy does now. The joy hasn't changed even if the models have!

I always like to have a few surprises when I see friends with children and this set is great fun.There is a challenge in building the characters, and while I do agree with others that lego is about imagination, these sets are also great fun, and they create playful projects away from screens.What is there not to love, 3 models, all great fun...

As much as a lego fan I am, I find these kits more like airfix from my childhood - a one shot build - but this is nice kit, it goes with the film and has he bespoke parts.If I were a full on collector, and fan of the movie, it'd certainly make a nice gift, it's not a tiny set, and I can't knock it for quality, it's stop notch.

We love lego in our house and particularly loved the lego movie so the arrival of this set was a real treat.The same great quality you'd expect from lego. It isn't cheap but good value when you consider how long it'll last and how many years it'll be played with and enjoyed

Our grandson loves Lego. Despite not having seen the film that this kit is based on he very much enjoyed making the character models and they are proudly displayed in his bedroom.He had no problem with the construction and was absorbed for a whole morning of his holidays.

This is yet another good Lego product, this on his based on 2 characters from Lego Movie 2:- nice set, good characters- unfortunately no transport (would have been great to include a small car/spaceship or something).But overall good - cannot fault anything Lego!

Another Lego item that was very well received by our granddaughter for her birthday. Clearly such items appeal to some children and not to others but for those who enjoy Lego there can almost be no better present.

This is an awesome set at a great price. You get 2 minifigures and the build itself is simple enough for youngsters to build, but the details are great. Ideal gift for your Lego crazed kids.

Can’t go wrong with Lego! This set from the new movie will keep hands busy for an hour or two building it and then provide hours of fun after.
