Lego has recently cancelled the name Juniors on its younger sets aimed at children 4 and over and has now just simply placed a 4+ sign on the front of the sets. These younger sets are aimed at those who are too old for Duplo but not quite onto standard Lego sets and this is one of those new sets. They have the same brick studs and connections as standard Lego (and so are fully compatible and can be built with all standard Lego) but they also come with larger pre-built parts to make the sets easier for little ones to build such as in this set the buggy's main body is one big part rather than several smaller ones.This set comes with Emmet and Benny minifigures and Benny has his broken helmet as

Well how do you review Lego? What is there to say about it other than that it is the best toy ever. My two children used to spend hours building houses and streets and theatres with all the Lego they had in a huge box. Now my two grandchildren do the same. It is a toy that never every wears out that adults love as well and, though it can be expensive, I think it is worth every single penny piece as it will last for generations.This particular pack is Emmet and Benny's Build and Fix workshop from the Lego Movie. I do not think it matters if you have seen it or not, quite frankly, as Leg lovers will enjoy putting this together.There are three separate elements to build here, a truck,

Growing up, I loved Lego and having grown up (allegedly), I still do!It is based on the Lego Movie 2 however, you'll be finished construction long before the movie has finished... Broadly, the set contains a spaceship, buggies, gas station and a tool trolley and all of these can be constructed in about 15-20 minutes.Whilst it is fun to construct, I find that sets like these don't hold the attention of the builder for that long, as there are very limited possibilities for alternative building projects. Accordingly, I much prefer the larger sets, where a bit of imagination can be shown in deciding what to construct.

A shame this 4+ set (formerly “Lego juniors” age range) is almost the only way to get Lego in the ‘Classic Space’ vein nowadays. (There’s also ‘Benny’s Space Squad’ but the vehicles in that are tiny.) The youngest Lego fan in our house is a bit old for junior lego, but still loves the “space cruiser” and buggy. The Emmet-related stuff is a bit “Meh,” and we’d rather not have to pay for it, just to acquire space Lego. In fact, we’d rather have classic space minifigs as well, because how many Bennys does one house need? But for the first time in decades, you can buy a blue-and grey spaceship. Spaceship! SPACESHIP!

You are getting excellent value for money with this Lego set.My 7 year old nephew had a great time building it and followed the instructions and picture on the box independently which was great but he is a big Lego fan.The Lego movie franchise is massive so children will love this set.Included are 2 main characters and 2 trucks so again this is really good value for money.I love Lego as it engages children's fine motor skills and concentration. It also encourages patience and imaginative play.This set would make a lovely gift for any Lego fan out there.5 stars and highly recommended.

Like many 5 year old, ours is very much into Lego building and lego play. This set ties in with the lego movie 2 but if they haven't followed the lego movies it's not import as this set can be fueled by pure imagination.Like many things there's a lot of empty space inside the box but for lego I must admit I don't really mind as much as the boxes are used to store them the pictury serve as reminders of which bits go where if and when it's needed.It's a decent enough value, lego isn't cheap but it lasts and will provide endless fun, play and animation for your child's stories

My 5 and 7 year old nephews built half of this model each. They could both easily follow the instructions and build the two sections of the model - Benny's ship and Emmett's car, the 5 year old needed a little help but is a regular lego builder so didn't need much. They both then had great fun dismantling and rebuilding them straight away. This set is lovely for fans of the movies but will work equally well for any Lego fan. My 5 year old nephew was pleased to see the helmet was 'broken' as the first thing he said when he saw the box was the helmet should have a crack.

You receive a Lego set from the Lego Movie which Includes 2 characters, Emmet and Benny mini-figuresThe set includes Benny’s Spaceship which Benny can be seated in, there are foldout boosters and a removable space buggy which a mini-figure can sit in the cockpit.There is also Emmet’s Escape Buggy which you can seat a mini-figure in, plus there are flame exhausts.Part of the workshop you also have a gas station and tool trolley which has 9 tool elementsThis is a superb set, it's an easy one to build, has great playability, and both vehicles are good and sturdy

Whoever from within the Lego universe designed this kit deserves an award. Related to the Lego Movies (we haven’t seen them), this is a great reboot of the classic blue and grey with yellow screen Lego space builds from my younger days. To see my eldest be inspired like I was back in the day whilst building and playing once complete, was a joy. This kit manages to look closer to the 5+ Age kits in appearance, whilst being easy to build with 2 figures, 3 vehicles and accessories too. An easy five stars.

A set for the upcoming Lego Movie 2, this is a very basic Lego set, aimed at the younger child (4+) and so has some simpler builds. Containing the Emmet and Benny mini figures there are a few vehicles and accessories and the set is ideal for those with younger children who want them to start getting the Lego bug early. The connection to the movie will also please the target audience, I'm sure.Score based on suitability for the set’s target audience – AFOLs might find this a tad too basic.

Although aimed at younger builders this set is a lot of fun any representation of classic lego space is always welcome the car model is good nice and simple to put together but the highlight is the mini space cruiser and mini figures which although fairly simple to build look superb. I especially enjoy the way a small buggy fits in the rear of the spaceship harking back to the great sets from the 1970s.

We are all massive lego fans in this house. So imagine our excitement when this arrived. And we wasn’t disappointed either. This is a lovely set that will keep the young and old entertained for hours and hours. We all spent many hours with this. And we didn’t get bored either. There is a lot to the set. For your money you are getting great value.

This was a fun little project that I did with my children in about an hour one afternoon.The instructions are easy to follow and detailed.There aren’t too many pieces so it is quite doable.The end result is good and has been played with since.Would recommend.

I sent this to a charity as part of their Xmas give to deprived kids scheme. I am told it is perfect for the child who got it as its easy to build and fun to play.

Awesome Lego set from the movie, my son was made up with this, however we had to build it together as it was difficult for him to follow alone (5 year old).
