I bought this more my 7 yr old's birthday- he was able to follow the construction instructions which offer a very simple and clear step by step guide. He is really captivated by the cops 'n' robbers theme, and spends hours playing with them. Lego is almost indestructible.

This was bought for my now 7 year old nephew for Christmas, and he really seems to enjoy building the car (he's the sort of kid who likes building and they aren't finished too quickly or slowly), and playing with it afterwards.
