After trying several different Potato Mashers and finding many of them next to useless, including some of the expensive ones, I read the reviews here and bought this one.Well its as good a Potato Masher as your likely to get anywhere. My wife has a problem with the strength in her hands and finds this Masher easy to use, its surprising light with a large easy to grip handle. The business end is what really puts this Potato Masher in the top spot. The cutter part is like 10 small knife blades (not sharp so they'll cut you) so every movement of the tool slides through with minimum resistance.Just a useful on other veg and we use it a lot when making vegetable soup and on suede/turnip.When finished it goes in the dishwasher and even here it out performs other Potato Mashers as it doesn't have anywhere for lumps of veg to hide while washing.

Wow, this does the business! I have had two ways of mashing potatoes before, a wire based one (not really wires but thicker, hate the ones with the holes, and the potato ricers just don't work well for me), and getting out my hand held mixer and using that (this is good but is a hassle, try it). This gadget takes things to a whole new level. I have weak hands yet can mash potatoes with just a few goes with this. I used it on Rooster potatoes (since about 15 years ago when Maris Piper seemed to change into something other), and on a carrot and swede mix (what can I say, I am married to a Yorkshireman and this is what his mother cooked....). Absolutely brilliant on both. I just love good tools. The only downside (there had to be one didn't there?) is it takes up quite a bit of room in my drawer of tools.

Short of using a ricer every time this is the very best performing masher. The only problem has been the soft grip handle on the masher I’ve had for years, which has been damaged and deformed by the dishwasher. Quite simply, the temperature in the dishwasher heats the metal bars of the DW shelves which then melt the handle where they are in contact. So after many years, the handle of my masher is deformed by countless indentations - very bumpy. Uncomfortable and unsightly. I don’t know if this soft grip will perform better than the one I’ve got but I’ll give it a try because - as I said - there is no better design of masher for achieving smooth mash without the muck of a ricer (which I save for special occasions only).Prepared to give the handle of this one a go.

I have spent years trying to find a masher that REALLY works. Most of them have holes that are too small or too big. I was sick to death of lumpy mash. Then I saw this. I wasn't at all sure because it doesn't look like a 'normal' masher. Thank goodness it isn't. This is the BEST I have ever had. It is easy to hold and does the job without you having to be a weight lifter to press down on it. Really creamy mashed anything and everything. It's a joy to use. If you want a simple tool that does the job perfectly, then this is for you. It's very well built and sturdy and I am sure will last for very many years happily mashing away for you.

A great little masher. Have been searching for a new potato masher for a long time and decided to try this one. It is'nt the usual shape and I did question its stability; but I did'nt need to worry for it does a great job. It feels good in the hand and gives the impression that it will last a long time. Some people have mentioned that you could use it as a form of whisk; perhaps in some circumstances it may work but I shall be quite happy if it lives up to the job it is intended for.It is a little more expensive than some but I think it will prove to be worth it. Time will tell.

I have a Potato Masher just like this one but which is only available in America. It has been admired by many friends as its so easy to use and produces perfect mashed potatoes (without the weary arms from wielding a fork for this purpose). I tried to find it here for a present for a friend and although the original was available, the delivery from Canada was extortionate compared to price of item. However, I then discovered it made by Kitchen Craft at a very reasonable price and am absolutely delighted as its literally identical to the American one I have.

With a soft-grip handle, excellent build quality and very effective triangular profile cutting rungs, this makes mashing potatoes and other vegetables a breeze.I was initially concerned that the metal construction would scratch non-stick cookware but the shape and action seems to prevent this from being a problem. The only minor design issue is that the rectangular shape of the head (as opposed to oval or circular) means that you need to rotate the masher if mashing in a circular pan, but this is hardly a major problem.

I had one of these years ago and managed to lose it. Having had to use a more traditional design for a while, I missed my old masher so I found this. The sturdy, triangular design of the masher means it almost cuts into the vegetable rather than spread it. Sure, you can argue mashing takes a little longer but the effort required is far far less and for me, the resulting mash is much better. The rounded design means it goes easily into the corner of the a saucepan too.

This is simply the best potato mashers ever. I've bought them now for all my brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews etc and they all think it's amazing too. Because of the slicing action, it seems to mash with other less effort that the normal 'hole' mashers where you are squeezing the potato through small holes. Then finally you can use it almost time a whisk to mix in the butter and milk. Buy one!!

This diamond edged masher is an excellent addition to my kitchen. It took me a long time to decide which sort of masher to order n am delighted with my choice. My mash potato now is absolutely lump free n creamy in seconds n the handle is perfect for my arthritic hands & considering its about £6. Less than all the others n the reviews were excellent is an absolute bonus. Would highly recommend.

This is my second one, the previous being close to 20 years old and had become past it. When it failed, I determined to replace like for like. It mashes potato and other veg well. The blades are reasonably sharp and I have used then to make slices of hard boiled egg. The handle is firm and the side arms do not bend when carrying out mashing. It is dishwasher safe.

This masher does a perfect smooth fluffy mash with little effort. Its design is different from the usual masher (a set of thin steel blades) and this allows you to aerate the mash by doing a simple twirling motion when you have reached the smooth stage. It's light, strong and the perfect height. I've had this about a year and I would recommend without hesitation.

I had a cheap plastic masher previously which just wasn't working any more, so got this as an upgrade. It's great - very sturdy, easy grip and looks nice too. It's easy to clean by hand (haven't tried in the dishwasher) and efficient at mashing vegetables - although smaller items like peas tend to pass between the 'blades' rather than really getting mashed.

This is the easiest potato masher I have ever used. The masher is solidly constructed and effortless in going through potato. It requires more than the average applications to produce a smooth (none lumpy) mash, but worth it. The handle is perfect for my arthritic hands to manage without slipping. Taking everything into consideration - a very good design.
