I've had my 'go to' whisky that I could always depend upon, my whisky comfort blanket if you will for a number of years, however when a friend introduced me to the Jura 10 year old it's safe to say that all that changed and this is the only whisky now that I'll consider purchasing. To paraphrase another advertising slogan, this whisky does exactly what it says on the tin (bottle). You want notes of toffee, honey and Apple? You got it in this light, delicate and sublimely smooth whisky. The old Scottish proverb states that there are two things a Scots man likes naked and one of them is malt whisky. I disagree with this to an extent as in my opinion the Jura 10 year old really excels with a few drops of water. The finish becomes even longer and smoother and it's a dream to sip away on.If you want a damn good dram then this is the product for you. Whisky this good generally doesnt come at this price, buy it while you can and hopefully it may even become your go to choice.

I love wild places. Always have done. Sadly so many of the wild places I have loved too much have fallen into the sea or been covered in bitumen and concrete. But then most people prefer bitumen and concrete. But here is a magic island with spectacular mountains one small town ( the smaller the better, in my opinion) and one whisky distillery which has been producing whisky for a long long time and is known for its excellence all over the world. Many many deer inhabit this island and not many people. It sounds absolutely my sort of place. I will never go there - it is far too far away. But I will always have the dream. And this ottle of Jura whisky is in my cupboard representing this dream for me.Will I open the bottle one day... Maybe - but not just yet.

A mellow and smooth scotch with no standout flavours (to me at least) a light sweet note from the Sherry cask and a bit of smoke at the very end but nothing too powerful. Pleasant drank neat, warm or cooled or mixed with coke or your mixer of choice. It’s an ok whisky but I don’t think it’s worth it at full price. I got it because it was down to £25 and while it’s a nice whisky I’d rather have bought a bottle of monkey shoulder or Aldi’s own islay single malt with that money. If you’re creating an infinity bottle with your whiskies I would say this is a good option to bulk it out a bit given the relatively neutral and smooth flavour.

In the last few months, I have bought the Jura Journey, Jura Superstition and Jura Origins. All of them are nice. And by nice I mean good enough for the price I paid for them and worth drinking. This one, however, the Jura 10 is lightyears above them. It is a lovely whisky and one of my favourites. My strong advice would be. Don't buy any of those others. Wait for this to come on special and buy a few bottles of it. You will not regret doing this. I bought this for £25 during black friday sales. And now wish I bought more than one bottle.

Confession - No idea what 'sheerness' means.Bought 2 of theses and got them delivered to two separate addresses, without any issues at all.Previously sampled the whisky, and I liked it, hence the delivery as a present. Very handy when you need a present delivering at quite short notice. (Recipients just would not tell me what they wanted!)Key question is would I use them again? - Oh yes!

Received this as a gift originally, bought it consistently ever since.Subtle smokey notes but not too much, smooth to drink and when on offer for £25 a must buy for the whisky lovers who dont want to push the boat out. Normally £25 in ASDA when on offer, so why not get it on Amazon and get it the next day without getting off your lazy bum! well thats how i think of it.

I know this whisky gets some less than positive reviews but I think it's excellent and great value at the discount price. It's lightly peated with lots of subtle notes on the tongue. There's fruity favours and spicy notes with after tastes of oak and sherry. On the downside, that will put off some people, it's chill filtered, artificially coloured and bottled at 40%.

Can't knock it for the price. Jura is a decent scotch no matter what bottle you buy but for £25 its cheaper than the standard unaged bottle in Tesco goes down smooth mild peaty taste nice sweet finish don't know why there have been bad reviews on here they must of paid more than £25 I'll order again next week if it's still the same price.

Wow, this is a great whisky. I drink a little bit of whisky here and there but wasn't aware Jura had rebranded last year. Bottle and packaging looks great but most importantly the stuff tastes amazing. I found it very smooth and didn't need to add any water at all, this is my new "go to" whisky in the house.

Really enjoyed this bottle. I’m not a fan of peat based whiskey but I enjoyed this. I didn’t read the description before I bought it, and didn’t know it contained peat otherwise I wouldn’t have bought it, but all in all I very much enjoyed it.So I give it a 5/5

Ordered as a Christmas present and my Dad says it has a lovely deep smooth taste. Well, if he’s happy with it, that’s all that counts. Seems like good value compared to other internet search results and was very securely packaged and delivered lightning fast.

New to whiskey, I read that this is s good one to start with and to be true to it I actually like it. Strange to review something like this as it's personal taste but it doesn't leave a bad taste in the mouth, quite smooth smells alright as well

Read the company description and believe every word. Superior to Laphroaig Select and will appeal to those who like Talisker. Smooth full of flavour and dances around your mouth. Whenever it's discounted buy a bottle if you've a space ready.

Bought this as a present for a friend of mine who is a Scot, and will be 85 next week. He says he will sip a 'wee dram' on his birthday, and having had this Single Malt before he knows it will be worth looking forward to it.

Good value for money, the flavour of the whisky a little smoky and peaty but not over powering, being 10 yr old I found it slightly smoother than Jura Journey Delivered a day earlier than expected a pleasant surprise.
