I’ve been eyeing this dogs jacket for a while but the price tag felt bit high. After trying a variety of cheaper coats that would not last or provide the desired protection I got fed up and decided to try this one. I live in the north of England and the weather tends to be quite awful so most of the walks over the autumn/winter are very wet and muddy. I needed something with enough rain resistance and a shield from mud as one of my dogs is white with semi-long coat which seems to be a magnet for dirt. The cover over the belly was a big deal for me, but in a way it’s still comfortable for my dogs.I must say this is ticking all the boxes and I’m very impressed. The coat is high quality, easy to put on and adjust to fit the dogs. It’s absolutely beautiful and my dogs look well cool. It’s made solid and I’m convinced it will last for years. There’s no velcro or zips that tend to be the first thing to go in other coats. There’s also great attention to details that I love about it and the neck part provides more comfort and protection. When it comes to sizing I used just the length of the back as the other measurements seemed to be much larger than my dogs, so I was a bit worried it will be too large but it was just fine. I managed to get all 3 sizes right, my smallest dog - a collie cross is 49cm/19in long and I got 18in size for him. For the middle one, collie cross as well, 54cm/21in long I got 20in size. My largest dog was most tricky as he’s a dwarf so his body is not in proportion, he’s unusually long, but the rest of his body is not as big. He’s 59cm/23in long and size 22inches fits him perfectly. I think it worked right as my dogs are pretty slim, but if you have a Labrador or something chunkier it may not work the same.Another big plus is that it dries very fast so no problem to use again in the evening even if you got drenched in the morning. This coat tackles quite a lot of issues I experienced with other coats. It fits well over a harness and has a clever solution as to how to attach the lead - this is more often than not a big issue for cheaper coats. The rubber bands in the back for once seems to be comfortable enough to use them, in other coats I had to chop it off as my dogs wouldn’t accept wearing them. It doesn’t seem to bother them in this one. The reflective additions are an integral part of a coat. I had them peel off other coats but I’m confident this won’t be the case with this oneAll in all, worth the investment and I’m glad I got them.

AMAZING!!! So glad I found this brand! Whoever designed this dogs coat is a Genius!!! (Attached a video/picture for anyone curious what looks like on a medium sized, short dog) You get what you pay for and this coat is very well made! Good material, and they did not cut corners. Used it the 1st day I got it since it was raining, and I must say I was IMPRESSED!!! He was 90% dry after a 2 mile walk in the rain (I only needed 1 towel to dry off his feet and head after the walk vs the 3-4 I normally need) and he fit the coat perfectly. I measured just like the chart shown, got him the 22” and he’s about 60-62lbs with thick neck and slightly wide chest, which this coat fits perfect! He was still able to walk/run/stretch (also potty approved) in it without being restricted. So relieved to have found a coat that not only fits well and keeps him dry but also is NOT insulated. He’s 50% Australian Shepherd, has medium length hair and a undercoat from hell that keeps him toasty so he doesn’t need extra warmth in the winter or especially when it’s currently 60-70 degrees where I am. I looked for a long time to find a coat that was made for a dogs body shape, waterproof and did NOT have heavy insulation for winter and here it is!!! THANK YOU HURTTA :)

Yes this is pricey for a dogs raincoat! But after wasting money an cheaper ones that either didn’t fit or didn’t function properly or of poor quality I decided to take a Chance. It was worth every penny and you truly get what you pay for. First of all the quality of the fabric and the construction is top notch. The fit is EXACTLY as expected after following the manufacturers sizing instructions. Don’t blame them if it doesn’t fit! It’s likely because you didn’t FULLY read their advice and instructions. The neck shroud and hind quarters coverage is my favorite part. Although this particular style does not provide for full belly coverage (basically just a securing strap),my dog is very tall and his belly never gets wet. Keep this in mind if purchasing. Also this is a lightweight rain jacket and not insulated for cold weather. It can used over other layers if need be. But I purchased it more for summer rain storms. It will protect against strong driven winds for sure. Good luck

This is the second Hurtta jacket I've purchased for my mini labradoodle. The first jacket is almost seven years old and still in great shape - waterproof with a thick lining for cold weather but she needed a quality unlined raincoat for walks during warm, rainy days in the PNW.This jacket checked all of my boxes and fit perfectly out of the box. I love that these jackets go on/off easily and keeps most of my dog's stomach dry and clean. The quality of the stitching is impeccable and I always appreciate the reflective designs Hurtta puts on the outside of their dogwear, especially when we're walking at dawn or dusk.Hurtta jackets are a prime example of getting what you pay for. They are not cheap, nor is the quality of material or their workmanship. I look forward to many, many more years of using these two jackets and absolutely recommend them to others.

We got two for our fur babies for when we go into the highlands these have surpassed our expectations and was worth every penny they fit brilliantly and keep them both nice and dry without getting overheated and still able to toilet when they want. What made it easier for us was we use Julius K9 harness on them both and the flap in the back was in the perfect place for the d ring on the harness for the leashes to clip on to. the dogs walked very comfortably in these coats what is a first for us, they are fussy and don't like to be restricted what these coats didn't d0.tough enough to put up with the unpredictable weather and winds in the highlands.I would highly recommend these make sure you get the measurements right we got a 26 and a 28.

After much searching we can highly recommend Jet’s new raincoat. He had very specific needs - waterproof but not fleece lined as he doesn’t need added warmth, needed to be quiet so no rustling fabric, doesn’t restrict him running and leaping after the ball like a lunatic, easy to put on and off, fits over his harness with a hole for clipping his lead on, fast drying, machine washable etc. We tried a load of different ones but this Hurtta coat ticks all the boxes. I thought he would take a while to get used to it but he seems to like wearing it straight away. Amazingly he doesn’t mind the leg straps either despite not normally tolerating anything around his back legs.Expensive but worth every penny

While this rain jacket was more expensive than my own, it was worth it to keep my goldendoodle's hair mostly dry when we need to go potty in the rain out here in PNW. It doesn't allow any water to get in even at the point where the leash is hooked on the back. It's made of quality water repellant fabric and has a nice soft interiror. Lots of draw strings to adjust for beat fit which I made use of. Overall nothing really to complain about except probably the price. For reference my dog is 53lbs and about medium sized built wearing a 20inch that fits him just right. We got the 22" initially but that was just a bit too lose and even the leg straps were just dangling.

Excellent product, well made. Reflective points on the hinds of the legs are more than adequate and effective. It's been raining continually for 8 weeks so needed this garment for our Giant breed. It is very generous on the sizing. Giant breed coats are very rare to come by. Was recommended this product and I would highly recommend too. Brilliant, sturdy material and does what it says on the tin. It does come in smaller sizes too. Make sure you measure your dog correctly before ordering a size. My dog hasn't been wet even in the torrential rain. Clean and dry boy. Lovely colour too. I bought the blue, more of a petrol/turquoise

Love it! Easy to put on, cute colour, and dog is comfortable wearing it. Additionally it has an opening on the back to connect a lead to a harness. This was important for me since sometimes I take my dog biking in the rain and I connect her Walky Dog to a harness when we bike.Update: Since my original review my dog has really gotten some good wear out of this. We went on a 16km bike ride in torrential rain and she stayed bone dry under jacket which allowed her to keep a good body temp so she didn’t freeze. She actually stayed drier than I did lol... I guess I need a better rain jacket now.

This is the 2nd Hurtta Torrent coat we've bought. We bought the first one for our mountain dog and it works excellent in keeping him dry and clean in foul weather so decided to buy another for our 2nd dog. The quality is excellent and its easy to fit. Once fitted, it stays in place really well by the use of a couple of elasticated loops around the back legs and a strap with a clip that secures under the belly area. It sounds simple but this secures the coat even when the dogs are running and rolling around. Would definitely recommend; such a great product and the dogs love it.

We bought this along with a Hurtta padded harness since the two are designed to work together (the harness can be worn under the coat and pokes out through a neat flap so it remains easy to attach a lead or just hold the harness loop). The coat really suits our Collie-cross and she is very happy to wear it on wet days. It seems secure enough to do its job well and helps keep her clean as well as dry. Most importantly she seems to have full freedom of movement when wearing this coat and it doesn't bother her at all - and that for me says more than any five star review.

Having trawled high and love for a certain colour and size for my wcs, i ended up ordering from USA.Product arrived much faster than expected and with no import duties to pay! :)Fits very well, colour looks amazing!Spaniel still runs freely in it and she can pee without fouling the jacket.Am unsure how well the coat will fair after she has run through some bushes, looks like it could tear/rip in the future.

Purchased this coat as I have a long hair Irish Doodle. Blow drying takes a long time, and without coat summer grooming becomes time consuming. This coat design is well thought out and designing to fit a dog's frame. My dog is very active and has flipped over several times to rub herself on the grass with the coat. Each time the coat has stayed in place.

Super fast delivery. Great product. Have used a hurtta jacket before and loves the quality this item does not disappoint. Once adjusted amazing fit. Keeps 90% of dog dry only have to give head, feet and legs a quick rub. Lovely material. Measured dog 22 inches order that size as per instructions. Easy to put on and take off.

Hadrian loves falling and spraying water. He'll frantically catch runoff water for hours. The monsoon coat did a great job of keeping him dry so he can be the spastic 11 month old border collie he is.The 20" coat fits great. Multiple adjustment points give him room to grow without the coat being too big.
